Edited: BEWARE! I am no longer a satisfied, nor happy customer. I purchased the Tempurpedic hybrid mattress and smart base. When my son struggled with which mattress to pick we were told that there was a 120 day trial and were reassured that if we weren't happy with our choices, we could exchange them for a $99 fee. The salesman upsold us expensive pillows but never one time mentioned having to purchase mattress protectors. The sales contract was read to us, but there was no mention of the customer having to purchase a mattress protector in order for the trial to be used. My son chose the Tempurpedic firm and, after a short time, developed back pain. Instead of getting better as the mattress "loosened up," the pain got worse and led to hip pain as well. I called Sleep Outfitters to ask about the exchange option and was told that since we didn't purchase a mattress protector for it, it wasn't able to be exchanged. After escalating it up to the store manager and then his manager, I was told we could proceed with the exchange, but we needed to wait a few more days for the required number of days of sleeping on it to pass. When my son called to pay the fee and order the new mattress, he was told by the store manager that not only did he have to pay the (expected) $99 fee, he had to pay the difference of the sale price and the non sale price which was an additional $800! My son was, of course, upset and refused to pay that. The manager told him that as soon as the mattresses went on sale again, he would call us and proceed with the exchange without him having to pay the $800 non sale difference. Well, no one ever called, and my son decided to drop it. It was one big, ridiculous hassle that he just didn't want to deal with anymore. We spent $16,000 on 2 mattresses and 2 smart bases, and this is how we were treated. BEWARE! They will tell you ANYTHING to make a sale but leave out crucial information about their supposed 120 day trial. If you decide to take them up on their offer, you'll be denied or screwed over. After the fact, I Googled Sleep Outfitters and found on Reddit that there are dozens of unhappy customers who have dealt with the same crap we did. It seems no one is told about the mattress protector on purpose, so they dont have to honor their supposed 120-day trial. Yes, it's my fault for not doing better research before purchasing, but when you are told about an option and reassured you can change your mind, you should be able to trust that. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NEVER RECOMMEND SLEEP OUTFITTERS! Look it up online, and you will see...
Elijah was friendly, helpful, and patient while we debated on which of their mattresses and bases we preferred. We were able to get free delivery and saved over $800 during their 4th of July sale. Satisfied customer.
