Google
We got two drinks Dirty chai latte, which was fantastic! Matcha latte, not too good. Chunky matcha and mild taste. Mostly tasted milk. Would stick to coffee based drinks!

Google
This is honestly the cutest and greatest little spot I've ever had the opportunity to stop at while I waited for my train home. I would highly recommend checking out Tiger's authentic coffees as they roast all their coffee beans and have their own custom home made syrups that enhance the great flavours their coffee has to offer. They have amazing coffee bean options, all of which taste as authentic as can be. Truly outcompeting that of the Starbucks next door, and quite affordable too. Give it a try! Wifi is free and everyone is encouraged to lounge around.

Atmosphere: very quirky but cozy Parking: village parking Coffee: very good, just got a drip coffee but was smooth and tasty Price: cheaper than most! Seating: varied options (high tables, regular tables, lower tables with comfortable chairs Vibe: feels a little like a coffee shop, wine tasting room, and an antique store smushed together Will be back for sure!

We quite literally stumbled upon this place by accident en route to Starbucks, because they are physically right next to each other. Friends, do yourselves a favor and come here instead! The coffee is sooo good. Super fresh, strong, and local. There aren't as many menu options as Starbucks, but you can of course customize your drink, and everything they do offer here, they make extremely well. They even offer oat milk! Sleeping Tiger shares a space with Witch Creek Winery, and is fabulous in every aspect. The physical space is absolutely adorable. There's an outdoor "Garden Gift Shop" that is incredibly well curated. There are all sorts of trinkets, furniture, and succulents available to purchase, and everything is arranged in such an inventive way. There's a good sized patio, but most of the seats aren't covered. There is, however, a covered outdoor private area for large groups or events. Lastly, Sleeping Tiger is dog friendly, which is such a nice bonus. They even have a few water bowls set out for pups

Google
Deliciously bold, rich and smooth coffee. They are merging the wine bar to become Witch Creek Wine & Coffee. Each time I visit Carlsbad from Northern CA, I make sure to stop in for a delicious cuppa. Wishing them lots of success on their merge, it’s a lovely establishment with friendly, kind staff.

Google
Great coffee! Staff very friendly here and the place is very safe with covid protocols and social distancing. Able to drink our glorious coffees in their outdoor patio. Need to come back for the wine tasting!!

Keith Elliott

Google
Great coffee! Both chemex and espresso. They welcome feedback and happy to correct orders. Lovely outdoor seating. Winery tasting available in the same space.

Google
Amazing coffee and tasty wines! Try their machiato with cardamom and after watching the sunset get their white sparkling wine to enjoy with some live music.

Yelp
I absolutely love this divine little spot! There are located inside a space that is lovely antique shop with some real special goodies, and a wine tasting bar. Every time I have come the women are just absolutely divine and is what makes this spot so special. I don't remember the wonderful women's name from my previous experiences but we would have such profound conversations. This time Corrina helped me and she truly made my day with her radiant kind connection!!! The coffee is always phenomenal and is just what my soul needs. As an added bonus getting to browse around the antique shop is really truly something special. I would highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone authentically seeking a genuine experience, as this place is so much more than a coffee shop. They have indoor and out door seating. They also offer some delicious muffins and baked goods. They are across the street from the beach and super conveniently located.

Yelp
Writing this at 2:33pm, the place is supposed to close at 3pm. Apparently staff can make executive decisions on closing early since the taller blonde staff member decide to close up early. As I was walking up the first thing I see is pastries have been pulled, machines shut down and she's carrying in 3-4 patio chairs. I'd imagine she probably closed at 2pm for how close to done she was. Kind of a bummer, but also maybe saved me a bad experience. It's possible she was told to close early, or hours have changed. I would suggest management either investigate their staff's practices when the aren't around or update their google and tell pages to reflect the proper times of service.

Yelp
Uniqueness: Coffee and Winery? Wait Time: [x][x][x][x][x] Drink Quality: [x][x][x][x][ ] Service: [x][x][x][x][ ] Setting: [x][x][x][x][ ] Cost: [x][x][x][x][ ] It was a quick early stop here in the morning and got my self a nice cappuccino here. Quality was great and since it was morning, we were literally the only ones stopping by and it was just a single worker, so it felt slightly dead. Never experienced a coffee shop that was part winery so that was a definite plus on uniqueness!

Yelp
Wow! The pumpkin spice latte here is unparalleled! Great service. Ample seating. Good music. Cute place. Will definitely be coming here a lot more!
google avatar

Yelp
Service 9/10, space 9/10, coffee 8/10 I got a latte with coconut milk and I'm pretty happy with it. I've had coffee with more flavor for sure but it's great none the less. But, alternative milk for only .25¢?! That turned a 4 star into a 5 star for sure. The space is huge & beautiful, they also have a wine & coffee club that sound like a really good idea if you're a local. This is definitely a spot where you can stop by, enjoy a show, take a cooking class and have a full on coffee and/or wine experience

Yelp
Overall: 5/5 Return again: yes Recommend it: yup Taste: 5/5 house brew has nicely balanced flavors, not too strong and not too acidic Quality: 5/5 tasted fresh and of quality Service: 5/5 friendly with smiles Value: 5/5 smallest cup of house coffee was only $2-3 X-Factor: 5/5 close to our Spring Hill Suites stay and in the Carlsbad Village area, also 5 mins to the beach

Yelp
I thought the coffee here was good, but didn't find it particularly special. What's cool about this place is it's a shared space with Witch Creek Winery. There's a stage for live performances on weekends that may be worth checking out. Throughout the space there are antiques and other knickknacks for sale. The service was friendly and quick. I enjoyed my coffee while roaming through all the antiques.

Yelp
We were walking around the village and came across this coffee shop, walked in and found it to be interesting. It looks like a shared space with a winery because there were barrels inside. There was also ads for comedy and music so it seems like a pretty active venue. I got a caramel latte and the actual coffee part was very good. However, they put too much syrup in for my taste, it was too sweet. The cashier/barista was OK, not very friendly, but not rude. If I was in the area again, I would probably give it another try. It's right next to a Starbucks but my preference is always to give small businesses a chance.

Yelp
While visiting Carlsbad for the day, I had heard about this local coffee/wine place from the YouTuber: California Thru My Lens. The service that the barrista gave us was amazing and the prices were INCREDIBLE! $12 for 3 medium iced signature coffees! Delicious and affordable. Lots of seating and the whole place was charming. They had chandeliers! We will definitely be back! Support small local businesses

Yelp
We stopped in for a change of pace while working. We started with a couple of coffees and they were both good. An Americano and a cold brew. Since they are paired with Witch Creek Winery we finished work and had some wine when the live music started. The bourbon barrel aged Cabernet was pretty good. We've had other bourbon barrel cabs and they didn't have a great taste. The merlot was also very good. Not too sweet and a little earthy. The setting is very cozy and there's a lot of seating. The live music wasn't overly loud.

Angelica S.

Yelp
The barista made the best cappuccino! It's hard to find someone that actually makes traditional coffee drinks, but she nailed it!
google avatar

Yelp
Need I say more when I say this place is perfect? Coffee or drinks, really great!!! Came to meet friends for coffee which then turned into drinks haha Service was really nice. My first time having drinks there and when we sat at the bar a few ladies down were chatting with our server and leans over and says "he's the best" love how much people loved this place to even lean over and say something. Needless to say, he was, giving us samples of their homemade sangria. They have a cute out door seating are as well

Yelp
Sleeping Tiger Coffees is located near the Carlsbad Village Fair Shops. We waited quite some time because the only barista on duty was "upstairs"(?), so we meandered around the space while we waited. The interior design is charming and rustic with its tall, dark wood chairs and tables, and its barrels lining the perimeter of the floor. The lighted chandelier and Christmas decor lent a festive aura to the place. There's also an outdoor seated area, where vintage, antique-esque items housed in a sort of shed are available for sale. I ordered an iced vanilla bean latte, which was a recommended menu item that ended up being a little overpriced and pretty standard in flavor. Not sure if I would come back for the coffee, but Sleeping Tiger Coffees seems to share their interior space with another establishment...and it looks like they have live music nights! Cute!

Yelp
Expensive. Atmosphere is very uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Beans smell delicious but that doesn't justify the ludicrous prices.
google avatar

Aracely P.

Yelp
Waited for more than 20 minutes to order no one showed up. I was excited to try, but any ore.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Average coffee at best! A cute little coffee shop that doubles as a wine bar at night, but it's the morning roasting of coffee that I experienced. The coffee is light, and seems to lack any boldness that a typical roaster would offer. Just not a recommended coffee stop in my opinion, but very nice wine bar option at night potentially!
google avatar

Jenna S.

Yelp
We got a latte from here and it was just okay, and not one of our favorites from the coffee shops in the area. The coffee flavor was just off. The customer service was also just okay. I wouldn't come back here. If you are trying to decide on coffee in the area, we really like The Goods and Vinaka Cafe.
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee & wine bar! We were a bit lost in the busy shopping area.. but this place is right next to Starbucks on the corner! Atmosphere is very cozy with indoor and outdoor dining, cute place!! I ordered the wild rose latte, not too sweet with floral fruity notes. Yum!!

Noah M.

Yelp
The woman working front of house was so fun to talk to and the chai was delicious! Would definitely recommend going if you are looking for a nice morning coffee!!

Shannon B.

Yelp
We ordered three iced lattes that all tastes watery; the espresso flavor wasn't there. Also, the service wasn't great the barista was actually kind of rude :(
google avatar

Yelp
Cute place inside of witch creek wineey. They had this drink called cold brew shandy. Its cold brew with lemonde. It is actually really refreshing and dont need mklk or sugar with the drink. Its my new fav drink.
google avatar

Yelp
In between a nice glass of wine or coffee/tea options. No worries here, you can get both at one time. Sleeping Tiger Coffee provides, a great hand out environment to a let's get some work done space. You can get a bite to eat, drink of your choice and enjoy some live music. (Friday- Sunday) Restroom is available with a key and a nice outside seating area in a restored greenhouse.

Yelp
Nice little spot, very laid back atmosphere. Roasting their own coffee in house before your eyes. Had a double shot which was good. Very nice staff.
google avatar

Yelp
Fantastic place to study! Stopped in here to grab a cappuccino (was great) and was in love. So many tables, quiet, cozy, cute decor, and fantastic service. Will be back to try the wine bar in the evening as well!
google avatar

Nikki Y.

Yelp
My friend & I tried the Sugar Free Vanilla Iced Latte. It was very strong and acidic. The vibe was cute and was in the same venue as the winery. There is a parking lot behind the coffee shop. I was very disappointed. If you want coffee is taste good and is quality I would recommend you try other coffee places in the area
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
Nice selection of coffee and tea and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was helpful and the shop was super clean and pleasant. I had the chai tea latte with oat milk and my husband had a tea.
google avatar

Brandi B.

Yelp
Really unique spot! The batista was super sweet giving us all the info on the place. They have live music Thursday-Sunday which is something I definitely want to check out! Great coffee selection and wine tasting.
google avatar

Yelp
I wouldn't come here again . the inside is decorative and yes there is a lot to see . The coffee was nothing special. It was all so basic . Hot Mocha was horrid . It is in a great location, great imagery of the art of the tigers on the side of the building but I personally did not feel it was a welcoming environment . This girl literally looked me up & down before she took my order.
google avatar

Patrick C.

Yelp
Came for a cup of coffee. It was a great cup a little cool spot to sit down and hang out a old coffee shop vibe. They also do wine here as well. Got a pastry and it wasn't too good tasting
google avatar

Yelp
Good lattes and espresso drinks but their house coffee made my stomach ill (I drink black coffee every day so it's definitely not me being weak..) and the cashier, older blonde woman, was super rude and had no idea what is on their own menu. I asked her what the "flash brew" under cold drinks is and she then explained hot pour overs to me. So I said "oh, okay, so you can make them cold too then?" To which she responded by saying I must be mistaken, reading the menu wrong, and meant to say cold brew. No ma'am, I'm asking about the item clearly written on your menu. "Flash brew" is under cold drinks, and "pour over" is under hot. Am I the stupid one here? Anyway, she was rude about it and shrugs saying "I don't know what you're talking about then." After I pointed out the flash brew under cold menu section. Whatever lady. If you want an espresso based drink and have absolutely 0 questions or any remarks, this is your place. Otherwise you'll get a rude cashier and a stomach ache.

Yelp
Super cute place! I need to go back to enjoy the wine!! Only was there for coffee! Ambiance was great! Pretty cool they have live music on weekend and that it has wine and coffee my two favorite things! Lol. I love the decor as well! Friendly staff! I should have tried the geisha coffee.. next time.
google avatar

Ivy C.

Yelp
Great coffees and friendly staff. Skip Starbucks! You won't regret it. I love the eclectic vibe of this place.

Yelp
Sleeping Tiger Coffees in Carlsbad, CA-- this coffee spot is as unique as its name! While the latte I got was quite good, I really love this place for how they've designed the space! When you want in, the coffee bar is to the right, a wine bar to the left, and live music in the back! It makes for a seemless transition from your afternoon cup of joe to your evening wine spritzer! Plus there's an adorable small outdoor garden with tables if you're feeling like sipping some espresso surrounded by succulents! Pro-tip: check in on the Yelp App for 15% off!

Yelp
Cute place with coffee bar, some baked goods, as part of a larger bar. Good coffee and nice servers.
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
I was desperate for some caffeine and lavender latte I'd my go-to drink. Glad they served flavored syrups here!! Tempted to try jasmine but decided to play it safe with what I'm use to. Strong coffee flavor! Cute vintage decor and the entrance to the coffee shop is on the side of the street.
google avatar

Janet G.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop next to a Starbucks and on a shared space as a winery. I tried the vanilla bean latte with oat milk. I appreciate that they only charge 25 cents for non dairy options since many places charge up to $1 for a non dairy option. I was pleasantly impressed by the taste and you can tell they use real vanilla bean in the recipe. We were in a rush but I definitely want to come back and enjoy a glass of wine next time.
google avatar

Eric K.

Yelp
Pretty impressive having a hole in the wall coffee place literally steps from another Starbucks. I'm guessing Tiger was here first and Starbucks is just trying to muscle in. Do yourself a favor and skip the Starbucks for once. This place was great. Very good cappuccino. Tasty blueberry muffin. Atmosphere seems stuck in the hippie 60's, which is fine if you're looking for good espresso.
google avatar

Darren O.

Yelp
Excellent cup of joe! Really good grind. The best thing is they're actually open, unlike the other coffee franchise a couple of doors down.
google avatar

Jessica Marie C.

Yelp
I'm all about supporting local businesses and really wanted to like this place. I had the Vanilla Bean latte and it was mediocre at best.
google avatar

Morgan D.

Yelp
Lovely coffee shop with a beautiful mural outside. Baristas were friendly. I had the cactus nectar kombucha and it was delicious, not too sweet. Perfect spot for an afternoon refreshment.
google avatar

Harrison H.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick coffee and actually ended up staying for a little bit. This coffee shop is right next to Starbucks. IMO, skip Starbucks and come here. The coffee here is amazing and the staff is very laid back and nice. The decor and music definitely brings you that old time vibe where you can enjoy your coffee and relax. I got the cold brew and my girlfriend got the vanilla latte. Both were absolutely delicious and refreshing. The patio outside was quiet and peaceful. Definitely a good spot to come in and relax to grab your coffee.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get coffee whenever I am in Carlsbad. The barista is always so sweet, the coffee is always delicious, and I love that they sell antiques and little trinkets. This coffee shop is truly unique and I'm always excited to stop by whenever I'm in the area.

Coco B.

Yelp
Passing by this place many times and finally want to give a try. The price is right, the coffee is good but the sweets was not as good as I expected. I love the displays and roomy atmosphere a cool place to go!
google avatar

Antho L.

Yelp
Great coffee shop in downtown Carlsbad! The ambience is comfortable and inviting for a nice beverage. I ordered the Vanilla Latte and must say that it is probably the best I've ever had. Most places are weak on flavor but not here. The vanilla taste was pronounced and very enjoyable to drink. They also serve wine from a winery called Witch Creek. Not the greatest name so not sure about having any of their wine. Although not much of a wine person anymore so it's just as well. I'd be back again if visiting Carlsbad to indulge once again in the vanilla latte.
google avatar

Audra H.

Yelp
This is a neat place to stop and get a cup of joe. I ordered a latte which was lovely (they did the cute design in the drink) which absolutely made my morning. It is actually the perfect location to open a book and read and it was quite quiet on Sunday morning 11/10 when I stopped by, amazingly. However, as soon as I started to read, my mother called. So I just ended up chatting with her. The coffee was a bold, strong flavor which I quite enjoyed. I had it with my own dairy free creamer. They have outdoor and indoor seating, which is nice to have that option. Indoors is kinda dark but outside is full of light! I'd definitely come back here again!

Zachary S.

Yelp
They antique shop wine bar atmosphere? Love it. The service? Love it. The pour over? Love it. Still using paper stamp reward cards...?

Chris W.

Yelp
Stopped in for an iced tea and to use the restroom. Friendly staff and tasty black iced tea. The tea had a good amount of flavor and woke me up. I hope to return.

Steven N.

Yelp
Our family was visiting and staying in the area. We ordered a latte and an Americano, both were good, not great. Service was great - we were greeted at the entrance, and our order was completed fairly fast (2-3 minutes) door. If we're in the area again, we'd give it another visit and try something else on the menu. Location is great - walking distance from hotels, restaurants and the beach.

Yelp
Tall blonde this morning did not know what she was doing. We asked for an iced coffee and she responded by asking "did you mean a latte? Americano?" No...a coffee lol. We then ordered two iced mochas and she made both of them hot. We finally got the two iced mochas and they tasted terrible. They were very chalky as if they were using powdered chocolate that did not dissolve all the way. They didn't even taste the same even though they were the same drink. Wish we never went here what a waste of $14.
