Sleepy Dragon Cafe

Very nice place, quite hidden but a gem! We got there to see the beach and we needed some place to eat and we had a good surprise to get breakfast - a bufet with everything needed for breakfast at just 12 euro per person (if you are not a guest there). Nice bathroom and view also.

Lovely place for a cocktail and to take in the view of the crystal clear bay and mountains but despite the lovely surroundings, came away feeling slightly underwhelmed…. service was a little slow and uninspiring. Not my favourite sorry. Mystical view over at Kalamaki was a lot better in terms of ambiance, service and engagement.

The Sleepy Dragon is named after the rocks on the other side of the bay — and just like dragons, this place is magical. There's the view on the sea. The hammocks. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. In the evening you can enjoy any drinks you like, like one of the fantastic cocktails (no joke, the bartender makes maybe the best Old Fashion I had so far), while watching the sun go down. They also serve the most delicious Greek coffee I've had on Crete. On top, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I already miss starting and ending my days here. Believe me: You'll fall in love with this place, too.

Extremely delicious food, best greek coffee we've had in all of Crete, great cocktails and excellent service. We loved hanging out here with the lovely views over the bay and the sea.

My absolute favourite seaside cafe - fabulous staff, nice food, beautiful sunset, great wine made by Kostas himself. A wonderful place to absorb the views, smells and sounds of the ocean, touching the starry sky at night. What's not to love?

Really calm, tranquil place with friendly staff and excellent coffee and snacks - and a gorgeous view over the sleeping dragon bay. Magical.
