26 Memorable Places to Propose Around the World

"One of the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Best views from Bunglas viewpoint, especially at sunset. Nearby Nancy’s bar in Ardara offers trad music sessions and pints of Guinness."

If you don’t want a long walk, take this bus trip to the view point. The bus operator was very informative. Then you can walk to the top if you want to, it is still a long hike up the top and it’s a rough and rocky path. When I went it was very windy and rainy, so bring your rain gear. I only went half way, too far for me to walk being a senior but the views were great! Here is a video and you can see how far it is to the top where the little people are walking along the edge at the very top!

Free parking at this decent parking lot. No EV chargers unfortunately. Friendly staff. Clean free restrooms. The exhibition is not really interesting. 8 euro per adult to take the bus to go to the viewing platform. We found it to be worth it as otherwise it's a steep climb by foot of 40 minutes to get to the viewing platform. Staff here kept stating the 10 euro parking lot closer to the viewing platform to be entirely full so not an option, which wasn't true. However even from there it's still a 20 minute steep walk to get to the viewing platform. I would personally recommend just paying for the bus and spending the energy on walking from the viewing platform up onto the mountains behind it. Very nice scenic walk.

Lots of walking and steps and asphalt and buses and dodging buses and wind and sheep poop smells and no latrines and no parking spots and a yelling male parking attendant. What views though!!!!

This was one of the most amazing experiences I had in Ireland, we hiked around the cliffs for the better part of an afternoon, and were about to see hundreds of sheep, and touch the clouds. If I am ever in Ireland again I will definitely be going back.

We stayed near the Sliabh Liag Cliffs so we parked in the car park near it. It cost us €10 for 2 hours, (or €15 for the full day) but was worth it. The initial climb was a bit harsh on the knees but after you go over the first part it's a nice winding road with soft rolls and stunning views. Every direction you look there's a beautiful scene. We were pleasantly surprised to see an ice cream van by the viewing point, which had tea/coffee/water etc.

Great weather for today’s visit to Sliabh LIag experience. The shuttle bus driver was right when he said it was the best way to get to the top, as we saw a lot of people walking. But with free parking and only €5 fare you felt fresh to walk up some more path to the summit 😎

Breathtaking views for sure. Second highest cliffs in ireland located in Donegal. There are tourist buses which runs from information centre to sliabh Liag, bus journey is like 20 minutes while you go up the hills while coming back will save you 5-10 minutes. The trails are well marked for hiking. Good to plan going there with hiking shoes and necessary gears.
