Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club

Check in was quick and easy. Room was really nice, comfortable clean and nicely decorated and had a beautiful view of the grounds and golf course.||Hotel is enormous. Has plenty of parking to accommodate this. Ate in the bar. Food was lovely and was part of our package but from looking at the menu was reasonably priced.||Used thermal suite both days and was very good. Had treatments as well and they were also excellent.||All in all. Beautiful hotel, great staff and a great way to spend my birthday.

Just back from a 2 night stay here and would have to say the whole stay was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are big and spacious, the pool area was well used by the kids and adults alike. Breakfast was really good despite the hotel being really busy. Nothing was a bother to the dining room g room staff. We had food the first night in the Golf club restaurant and it was really good and reasonably priced. The 2nd night we had dinner included and it was in the main dining room our food was excellent and Amelia our waitress was so attentive and friendly. We also used the Spa and again the treatments were some of the best we have had I would have to mention Izabella who was brilliant. The only downside was that the weather meant the boys couldn’t golf but we did do the crazy golf which was enjoyed by us all. We will definitely make a return visit

We checked in online, which was brilliant and very efficient. Margaret looked after us, and she is always very friendly. Our room 738 was lovely as always, spotlessly clean with an excellent view of the golf course and grounds.|We love The Slieve Russell Hotel, and the staff are always very helpful. A big thanks to Ivan and Mihah, who always make us so welcome.|We enjoyed our lovely breakfast. Thank you Caroline and Vilma for your excellent service.|Enjoyed the evening entertainment and lovely walk around the golf course.|Katie on reception is A star. She checked us out and we always appreciate her professionalism and lovely manner. Great to see Tony, the General Manager who is a fantastic ambassador for the Hospitality Industry and we hope to return soon.|

Attended my brothers wedding here recently. Couldn't fault it at all. Top Class food, service and the staff Couldn't do enough for all guests. The family room we booked was fantastic for us. Lovely and warm and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with 2 Breakfast rooms open to cater for the large amount of guests. No wait at all for a table. Highly recommend everything about the Slieve Russell

Really enjoyed our stay here. Great hotel for families with plenty of restaurants and a nice bar. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. The pool and spa are lovely. Very impressed by the spa. Will be back again.

Not much great things to say about this hotel , firstly went into our rooms and there was a black long hair on the facecloth and a half used toilet roll from the previous guests . While getting ready for dinner all the sockets in the room tripped out , couldn’t make tea , use an iron , charge phones etc (rang the reception and no answer so we reported this as we checked out ) Dinner in the summit restaurant was a horrible experience, some of the staff wore quite rude and food came out extremely fast and did not taste fresh so it’s questionable if it’s fresh or not . Breakfast was nice and staff in spa wore lovely but I do think they need to modernise this hotel a bit as it’s very outdated . I did actually receive this hotel as a gift and I have also booked my parents in as a treat in February but I will be cancelling this as I do not think it is worth the money one bit . Was really just one thing after another at the stay here

Hotel is beautiful, food is lovely, staff are lovely . There were a couple of mistakes with service but I'm a believer that mistakes happen. It's human. What defines you is your response in correcting them and they done an excellent job. Over all very happy

Gorgeous hotel, had a lovely spacious room with a beautiful view. Food in Setanta restaurant was fabulous. Breakfast was also amazing. Reception staff and restaurant staff were lovely. Bar staff did not impress. Had just about finished eating a small lunch when someone came and abruptly asked for the bill to be paid. Seemed to be a senior member of staff. Also asked a staff member if i could order a drink as they walked by and was told I would have to go to the bar to order. Just to mention, I am heavily pregnant so it was a non alcoholic drink I wished to order.
