Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club

We stayed at the hotel for one night with the bed and breakfast option. The hotel was lovely and we had a beautiful walk around the grounds, taking in the fabulous views.|It is quite expensive for what you get- The room was very warm with no air conditioning working in the room - we asked for a fan, which was given to us upon requesting. At night the sleep conditions were roasting and too warm. |We had dinner in one of the restaurants the same we had for breakfast. The dinner was nice but very small portion size. the dessert the choclate fondant was lovely. |There was no different menu for any other nights it was the same menu if you were staying for a few nights. The staff were helpful and i was pleased.|We went into the pool the first afternoon we arrived- the water was not clean it was a funny colour it did not smell clean either. The changing rooms were not up to standards either. However on a positive note i enjoyed the refershing cold water.|Tea and coffee is very expensive 4.10 for tea is a crazy price. |You also have to pay 5 euro to rent out the courts. |Alot of elderly couples not many children.|Mixed postive and negative reviews for me.|The location and the grounds are lovely i enjoyed the walks and the hotel is lovely and its big.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Was busy when we stayed last night. X2 wedding on. But the hotel is so big you will be fine. The rooms are so clean and beautifully maintained. We got a suite and it had a jacuzzi. Room was so comfortable and the staff were amazing. Looking forward to staying again.

Just back from a stay at the Slieve russell Hotel. Myself and 3 kids had a great time. Kids loved the bulk beds room was very clean with a large ensuite the only negative was a cooler/fridge in the room it was so noisy. Ate at main restaurant could not fault the food or service. Breakfast was lovely the next morning plenty of options for all tastes. The swimming pool was a bit hit with the kids changing rooms were very clean. All staff where so lovely and helpful. We will back again.

We had an incredible 2 night stay at the Slieve Russell. The staff are nothing short of exemplary. Be it in the bar, reception or throughout, we were taken aback by their professionalism, attention to detail and general good humour. This was particularly the case with the many younger staff throughout the hotel including the wonderful team in the Kells Bar. A particulal shout out to the young French woman who made excellent cocktails.||The food was sublime. We ate in the Summit and Conall Cearnach restaurants and the food and service were excellent. Very fresh food cooked to the highest standards. The Golf course in pristine condition and the leisure facilities were also well maintained. ||We will be returning next year and really look forward to it. Well done team Slieve Russell for a 5 star experience.

Beautiful hotel, the grounds are spectacular. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was better than expected. The food was the highlight, couldn't beat the sirloin steak and breakfast this morning was amazing. Will definitely be back.

The hotel is set on beautiful grounds with a stunning golf course. Unfortunately, the experience inside the hotel didn’t live up to the setting. We stayed during a warm, very busy weekend, and it felt like the high volume of guests affected service. The reception staff seemed overwhelmed and not particularly welcoming. The rooms were stuffy, outdated, and lacked air conditioning, which made sleeping uncomfortable. The shower had inconsistent water temperature, and the amenities overall were in poor condition. Dining was also disappointing. While my starter and dessert at dinner were nice, the main course was very dry and not enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was the biggest letdown, it was practically inedible. One important note: this hotel is extremely family- and child-friendly. So much so that there were often more children than adults, running, shouting, and playing unsupervised throughout the hotel, including in the bar, both day and night. If you're looking for a peaceful or relaxing stay, this may not be the right choice.

Highly Recommend. We stayed at the Slieve Russell Hotel, and it was relaxing and enjoyable experience. The staff made us feel incredibly welcomed and well looked after. The hotel itself is stunning. Our room was spacious, spotless, and offered a lovely view. Plenty of sockets and I liked that you could fill your jug of water whenever u wanted too from the water stations in the hallway. The food was delicious, the steak from Conall Cearnach restaurant just melted in your mouth (well done). Plenty of things to do. Highly recommend visiting during the week it’s nice and quiet.

Absolutely stunning Hotel with wonderful hardworking staff who went above & beyond. Rooms very spacious & spotlessly clean. Food was 1st Class. I certainly intend to return. Massive Thank You to All the wonderful friendly, polite, courteous & very helpful Staff of this fabulous hotel 👌
