Slightly Chilled Hotel

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was clean and incredibly comfortable – I couldn't believe how cozy it was when I first saw it. The price was very reasonable, and the location is perfect, just a short walking distance to Sri Padhaya. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond – after the hike, they even brought food to our room without any extra charge. The food was delicious as well! I had a great time here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

After our Sri Padha hike, we stayed at Slightly Chilled Hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, and we stayed in a clean, well-maintained underground room. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. One of the best parts was the stunning view of Sri Padha, which made our stay even more special. The hotel provided great comfort and hospitality, making it an ideal place to relax after a long hike. Highly recommend!

As the name implies, very cool family run Srilankan hotel. Fantastic views of the Adam's Peak from the rooms. Clean , friendly/accomodative hosts, good Srilankan buffet for vegetarian and non vegetarian. Meets all the requirements for anyone wanting a pleasant stay pre-Adams peak hike

Convenient place to visit and hike Adam’s Peak, friendly staff and Gayantha take care of guest very well with all the necessary information what’s need to explore surrounding. The rooms are clean and well maintained, foods and upto expectations..

Perfect accommodation for hiking Adam’s peak. Super friendly staff and they provided a great tracker for the mountain. Would stay again.

This family run business is excellent and they truly want you to have a great time while you are here. The place is a bit dated but has a certain charm and is greatly priced. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The food (dinner and breakfast) was very well done. This is about 750m from the base of Adam’s Peak which we found very helpful because this acted as a warm up and a cool down, making the ascent and descent 13.2km in total. We picked a very wet night to ascend - despite no sunrise, this worked to our favour as no queues or persistent hawkers selling their wares. Gayantha, the owner - gave us bin bags for our wet clothes, paper to stuff our boots and was fantastically kind. There is no safe here but he was willing to put our money and passports into his deposit box and made us sign for the values which was good for both sides. He was honest as well when my husband accidentally gave him too much in cash. They wanted to be paid in cash for the night so make sure you have enough to cover it.

very confortable rooms and friendly staff who cares about our need. It was the departure point for adam's peak climb. the hotel is well located and we have a view on adam's peak. we recommand this place. Food was also excellent and breakfast at the end of trekking was welcome !

We stayed here for one night before heading to Adam's Peak and it was a great choice. The rooms are very clean and the staff was very kind. We were even met with a welcome drink. Food was amazing! We had rice and curry for dinner and pankaces for breakfast, all very delicious! Also incredible views from the balcony onto the nature around. 100 % recommend!
