Slightly Chilled Hotel

This hotel seems like one of the better choices in this small town, especially since there weren’t many options available during our stay. Overall, it was a decent and convenient place to spend a few hours before climbing Adam’s Peak at 2am. The room was simple but clean and acceptable for a short stay. The bathroom, however, could use some improvement — after showering, the entire space would be wet due to the lack of a curtain or partition. A small upgrade here would go a long way. The food, available on pre-order, was okay, and we appreciated the freshly made breakfast served upon our return from the early morning hike — a thoughtful gesture. That said, the dining room felt a bit worn and lacked a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the location is definitely a plus: it's within easy walking distance to the trailhead for Adam’s Peak, as well as other small bars and restaurants in the area.

Recently visited the place and had a good time there. We booked 1 triple room and one double room and the prices were very reasonable. The rooms were great and have balconies as well. The hotel is situated near to the Adams peak and you have a beautiful view as well. The meals were bit pricy but was delicious. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the place if you are going to stay around Maskeliya/Nallathanniya.

Lovely hotel located 10 minutes walk from the start of Adam's Peak. Very warm welcome from Praba and Abin. Excellent dinner served around 10:00 PM, after the climb . The leek soup is delicious. Comfortable, spacious and very clean room at the lower level. Hearty breakfast, very good. Il highly recommend !

Well managed and clean with good breakfast. Easy access to Adam’s Peak with great advice for the long and steep walk up. The Manager speaks great English too 😊 Evening dinner is good but allow some time for preparation as it is all freshly cooked. Recommend their Sri Lankan curry which comes in good portions

We stayed at the hotel for two days, on the 25th and 26th of April, during our visit to worship Sri Pada. It was a truly relaxing place, and we had a wonderful time. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. We wish them continued success in developing their property and enhancing the value of the hotel, as there is great potential to expand their services to a wider range of customers.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was clean and incredibly comfortable – I couldn't believe how cozy it was when I first saw it. The price was very reasonable, and the location is perfect, just a short walking distance to Sri Padhaya. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond – after the hike, they even brought food to our room without any extra charge. The food was delicious as well! I had a great time here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

This family run business is excellent and they truly want you to have a great time while you are here. The place is a bit dated but has a certain charm and is greatly priced. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The food (dinner and breakfast) was very well done. This is about 750m from the base of Adam’s Peak which we found very helpful because this acted as a warm up and a cool down, making the ascent and descent 13.2km in total. We picked a very wet night to ascend - despite no sunrise, this worked to our favour as no queues or persistent hawkers selling their wares. Gayantha, the owner - gave us bin bags for our wet clothes, paper to stuff our boots and was fantastically kind. There is no safe here but he was willing to put our money and passports into his deposit box and made us sign for the values which was good for both sides. He was honest as well when my husband accidentally gave him too much in cash. They wanted to be paid in cash for the night so make sure you have enough to cover it.
