If you don’t like lamb or fish, I’d skip but otherwise it was great. The three course menu was just enough food. It may seem small but it was more than enough. Comes with bread as well. Good summer cocktails. 5/5

Super chill restaurant. Industrial interior with one large relaxed room. Kind and genuine servers. Great light - overlooking the mountains and harbor. Food blew us away - wolf fish with a savory sauce and charred veggies was the fish of the day. Fish soup was in a rich buttery broth with wolf fish, grilled scallops, green apples and black apples that had apparently been cured for 20 days. Me and my two friends agreed it was one of the best and most surprising restaurants we’d ever been to. They arranged service to get us on the 730 ferry back to the mainland.

Truly we just visited the island of Heimaey because of the Slippurinn. We had an amazing 8 course dinner with local dishes and ingredients & each course had its maximum of taste explosions. As a starter we had some really good cocktails with local herbs from the island which were so special and extraordinary in their tastes. We definitely enjoyed the kitchen and recommend everybody to go for a visit when you’re traveling to Iceland - experience this journey of new tastes. Also the staff was very kind and courteous. We’re looking forward to come back again! :-)

Best lamb I've ever had - such wonderful combination of different tastes. The different fish dishes were also great. One service star removed for giving us alcoholic beer instead of non-alcoholic beer, although they had the same name. Overall it was still amazing. Just be very clear about your allergy.

Absolutely stunning food. One of the best you can find in lceland. Although restaurant is not the cheapest one, it's worth all the money. Probably the best is to take there set of 8 dishes where you can try different tastes all composed from the local food. Service in this restaurant is very professional and super friendly. It's highly recommended to book table in advance. It gets really busy in the evening hours.

One of the best fish that I ever had here in Iceland. Must try also is there dessert Greni & Hundasuru Tart. Excellent service and I felt like I in a museum.

We had the 8 course pre-set meal, and it was AWESOME! It's mostly all food taken from the island itself and prepared in really neat, unique ways. The staff were very nice and explained what it was we were eating multiple times. All of it was very good. Highly recommend!

Incredible innovation from local ingredients. For anyone who savors food and gets excited about learning where the ingredients come from. This family owned restaurant is one of a kind.
