Sloan Park

Hands down the best spring training stadium in Arizona. A very passionate crowd shows up. The roof does a great job shading the stands from the sun. The biggest selection of merch and the food and beer lines move fast. It's just a beautiful setting for a baseball game. Even if you are not a Cubs fan, this place is worth checking out.

What a great start to the 2026 Spring Training! Except Cubs lost to the White Sux. 4 F-35's did a flyover. Lots of new menu items. Food trucks in the outfield. Grab & Go beverage station. We had Chuckies pork tenderloin sandwiches and they were AMAZING! Looking forward to a few more games! We've been spring training season tickets holders for 20+ years starting at Hohokam!! Go CUBBIES!!!!

Great little ball park. I just raise an eyebrow at pricing. Charging regular season pricing at training is absurd, but people pay it so I guess they take advantage of it. We are the fools. But really it is about the experience. The weather is a gorgeous 70+ degrees currently with a fabulous light breeze. I recommend it if once in a Cubs fan lifetime.

Quite expensive but I guess that is the way of the world. Field is great. The Chicago Dogs were disappointing. Buns were hard. Really marginal. Overall fun experience.

We didn't come in for a spring training game itself but to help out by volunteering for the 2026 Mesa Marathon. But what i saw of the stadium it's absolutely beautiful and well maintained.

Just awesome. We attended 2 game the week of March 2, 2026. The park was very clean. They are cashless for everything. This means short or no lines for anything. Just scan and go. A special shout out to Chuck, one of the ushers. He helped is find our great seats. The guy at the Wrigley sign was incredibly gracious also. My wife is in a wheelchair and everyone was so kind and helpful. Hint: buy your tickets from the box office. Third party online ticket sales can cost as much as 10 times the B.O. price.

Great place to watch a Cubs game! Very clean and you feel like you’re in Wrigley in so many ways.

*Update* I have to say food service was quick to respond and made up for my stale peanuts. It's nice to see that kind of response. Super chilly in the shade with a slight breeze. Got a stale bag of peanuts. Enjoyed the stadium and the game.

We are fortunate here in Arizona to be one of two states that hosts MLB spring training games. Sloan Park has been home to the Chicago Cubs since 2014 and is the newest of all the spring training facilities in the Cactus League. It is also the largest spring training stadium in Arizona. The Cubs have been practicing in Arizona since the 1950s and have a huge fan base here in the Valley. Several popular Chicago restaurants have opened up in Arizona with a couple of them like Portillo's and Lou Malnati's being just a few miles from Sloan Park. This is one of the nicer ballparks in Arizona. Sloan Park features a red marquee sign that mimics the famous sign on the front of Wrigley Field in Chicago. The food is a variety of Chicago cuisine favorites. They serve plenty of alcohol with a couple of large bar areas in the outfields and beer vendors walking around everywhere. For me, Spring Training is all about the lawn seats. I like to grab a hot dog and a beverage and camp out on the grass and enjoy the spring weather. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to see your favorite players in a more chill environment. There is parking around the stadium. You can also park at nearby Mesa Riverview and either walk over or take the free shuttle that drops you off near the park. Sloan Park hosts Arizona Fall League games and other events like concerts and food festivals. There are plenty of places to eat near the stadium at Mesa Riverview, Tempe Marketplace or in the Asian District. Sadly spring training has become so popular that MLB has made it a cash grab by jacking up the ticket prices. Not that long ago, lawn seats use to be $5-$10 for these practice games. It was also easier to get an autograph from a ballplayer. Now players are less accessible and lawn seats will run you $30 or more. I still go because I love baseball and have been following the sport for years. But I feel for large families with kids and how much they have to pay to come to these games. Even though I am not a Cubs fan, I have many friends from Chicago here in Arizona and respect their team and its long history. I have been to Wrigley Field in Chicago and even took a tour of it. I find Cubs fans less annoying than Dodger or Yankee fans. I have caught a number of games here at Sloan Park with some of my Chicago buddies. Here is to another great season of baseball! Play Ball!

It's a great park to see a baseball game. We saw the Savannah Bananas play the Crazy Animals. We sat on the lawn and it was a bit far away but it was easy to move around and people were in great moods. We had the yummy chocolate covered banana truck close by and also the lobster truck. There was a nice bar and bathroom right up from where we sat. It was not easy getting out of the parking lot. That was the only down fall. Love to return sometime.

Beautiful ballpark! This past weekend was my first visit to Sloan Park, and I was beyond impressed. The park is super clean, and there are several food and drink options. Sloan Park is definitely one of the nicer Cactus League parks. My only complaint is they charge for parking. $10 to be exact. Now the reason it bugs me, is that out of almost every single other Cactus League park, I think this might be the only other one that charges for parking. Kinda lame...

This is our third time at Sloan Park and the best game of all since they won handily. We were a little shocked at the price of the beers - fifteen dollars is a nonstarter for a beer. There is an overwhelming amount of food and beverage available so you're not going to go hungry as long as you have plenty of money!

Nice and clean facility. Lots of food choices. Many shaded sections. Free shuttle to get her from Mesa river view. Fun day of spring training viewing.

Had a great experience at the ballpark today. I arrived a very shortly after the game already started and got through the gate right away. I was really impressed with the staff. Everyone was very helpful in helping me find my party location and was so engaging and friendly!! I got some Birria style tacos that were pretty impressive for stadium food. Highly recommend. I also got a cute and tasty drink in a souvenir mason jar. Our party was on the Budweiser rooftop lounge. My only complaint would be that a lot of the tables were missing umbrellas. Like they were cut off the table? Not sure what the intention is to remove them as they are super useful on hot sunny days like today. But everything else made for a great experience.

Sloan Park has got to be one of the nicest ballparks I've ever ever been to. This is the Cubs spring training facility. Parking is a little confusing and a lot of the streets are down to one lane there's a lot of traffic during game days. There are ways to spend $10 for parking, but you do have to drive down past the hotel complex, you will park in the grass but it's very organized and you could only pay by credit card. There are parking lots for $25 across the street but it's not worth it in my opinion for $25 because it's not a long walk from the $10 lot either. Facility wise. This is a extremely upgraded and clean park. There's plenty of lawn seating. It's very comfortable and green. There are so many food places here that you can go. Crazy eating all day. So definitely come hungry. I don't know if this is something they do All the time but there were about 6 to 7 food trucks around the perimeter of the lawn seats so you don't have to eat the expensive hotdogs you can have some unique food and save a little bit of cash too, and have a great time doing it. I did try the Birria tacos which were amazing and they were $12.99 for three of them. Highly recommended. As far as the fan shops, there's about three or four of them. There's one very large one and there will be a line to get inside. But definitely go shop for what you need first because the sizes run out really quick. They usually end up with a lot of smaller mediums by the end of the day. As far as the seats go, their standard, ballpark, stadium seats, but every seat has a great view no matter what. It's so close to the field. It makes you feel like you're in the game. And I love the fact that the players don't look like ants on the field. They look like actual people looking right at you. You can check out their face and feet features and looks like they're standing next to you because it's so close to the players. I think the staff here were super friendly everywhere from security, to the ticketing agents, to the concessions, to the store, employees, to even those that were selling the 50-50 raffle tickets.

What a beautiful spring training park! No bad seats in the house! What stood out the most was the employees! WOW! From the gate entrance to the food/beverage stands and carts, every single employee was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy to serve the customer. Only complaint was the burning hot seat in the sun LOL.. but I'm definitely not going to complain about that being a perfect 80 degree sunshiny day! Parking was $10 right at the field, an easy 5 min walk, or you could hop on one of the bike chariots. Such a fun way to get there instead of a bus full of people from a far away field. Some did park across the road for free and walk a bit further. We didn't make any of the other spring training fields, but I cannot imagine any being any nicer than this!

Sloan is by far the best Spring training ballpark out here! It definitely feels like a mini Wrigley field. I appreciate the fact that the park is always clean and well managed. We always sit in the lawn and it's such a good view and so much fun!

Probably my favorite spring training park. Facility is new and clean and has a welcoming environment. Definitely a great place to spend an afternoon!

This is the favorite of my parks. Makes sense since it's the newest and nicest. Only took three trips to the Cactus League to finally see a game here. Everything is pristine since it's only ten years old. It's a Cubs stadium, so the production is impressive, as are the crowds and the prices. Sightlines are fantastic, and it's just a beautiful park and great place to see a game. If I were to deduct it would be the $20 you'll pay for parking. Kind of junky as I think it's the only stadium that charges to park. Everything else makes it the best, however.

Hands-down, the best spring training stadium. For several reasons, this has become our go to spot to watch spring training games when visiting Arizona. First being the location, and how close it is to Tempe, which is where we prefer to stay when visiting for spring training. Second, because of the location, the drive and parking situation is really not bad, and they have it worked out pretty well. You can also Uber to and from the game. And if the parking lot is packed after the game, you can walk to the hotel, which is nearby and get a drink while you wait. The actual stadium is laid out really nice. You can do a full circle and there are fun activities at every turn. You can take a picture with the large Marquee, and get a personalized with your family's name which is a great keepsake year after year. The different team stores are a lot of fun and packed with new cactus league and Cubs branded gear every year. They also have the best selection of food. The Polish sausages, the hotdog stands, Mexican, chicken, anything you could possibly ask for. There is a full bar in the outfield, if you were trying to get some thing that other than beer. They also have a full kids station, with miniature field and wiffleball that the kids can go play and take an at bat. If you can only visit one game during spring training, I highly recommend this venue.

Wrigley Field West. Best AZ Spring Training park. Beautiful new park that still gives the Wrigley vibe. Plenty of food and drink options. Super clean. Staff is friendly. Lots of photo ops. Buy parking in advance. If you don't beware of the dirt lot across the street. They direct the cars in to closely. I was stuck for well over an hour because of cars parked so close together.

Great concessions, easy parking, plenty of restrooms and great location. I loved it. What a great day at the ballpark. Only wish my Cubs would've won.

Two different Cubs games even though they lost and was very fun for our first time and even got 3 players and one media guy autograph who is a former Cubs player

2024 Spring Training Cactus League!!! What a great time watching the Cubs and Brewers. Not a bad seat in the house. Highly recommend catching a game here. Vendors were great and Staff were courteous. My only suggestion would be to get there early because traffic and the police traffic control into the venue parking is a mess. We will definitely be back again.

Visited while staying at the nearby Hyatt ( reccomended ) . Late spring trading was over but looking in beautiful new venue with grassy lawn area in outfield . I'm sure it has the mlb amenities one fan would expect ! Adjacent to new Riverview Park area with small lakes and great playground .

My first Cubs Spring game!! Park is very well laid out. Not a bad seat in the house. If you're going to sit front row field, be aware the railing is a little high for the seats. The security guys on and off the field were fun to talk to and added another great time to the experience. Plenty of food and drink vendors. It was a full house and never had to wait in line for more than a couple minutes. With the new time clock for play now, it's easy to miss a whole half inning though!!

Sloan Park has the best shady seats in the Cactus League! Bravo to the Architects who took the time to pay attention to the path of the sun during the hours of the game to ensure a good portion of the seats are in the shade! The Cubs and Dodgers probably attract the most fans in the Cactus League as well. That being said, don't ever expect many empty seats to stretch out. The vibe at the ballpark is always great. People here are there to congregate amongst their groups while the game is in the background. You can find it all here. Typical ballpark food, beer, alcohol, apparel and tchotchkes. You can find some food trucks as well. Parking at Sloan Park is a well oiled machine! It is not free like some other Cactus League parks. It is probably the best to get the masses in quickly. Cycle powered rickshaws are available to cart you from the parking area to just outside one of the entry gates. My opinion of the overall experience at Sloan Park is the best in the Cactus League. The ease of parking is great while enjoying the game in the shade. Not normal in these parts! If you want to see burnt snowbirds at the ballpark. Almost all of the other parks have them. Please be a good citizen to them and encourage them to lather up with some sunscreen and maybe throw on a big hat to protect your face. Most have no experience in the desert and need that nudge to stay well hydrated!

They are simply not capable of dealing with large attendance numbers. They need TWO TIMES the food and drink outlets than currently. Long lines everywhere. Parking is a disaster. The A's stadium has less people but many more food and drink vendors and options. Parking is better there, tickets and food/drink are cheaper, the views are better, the experience all around is superior. Shame on you Cubs/Sloan/Mesa - you have one job to do one month a year and are doing it poorly. Get some food trucks/pop-up food and drink vendors etc. next year please.

First of all, I dislike the Cubs (I'm a Cardinals fan), BUT, they do have probably the nicest Spring Training Stadium out in AZ. This was my first time here, and I was impressed! Parking was the only negative for me. You have to kind of park far away, and its a tad disorganized. All good though...everything else was great as you will see! This stadium is one of the newest ones, and you can tell. Designed well, clear view from everywhere around the stadium, plenty of restrooms and food options etc. We explored the party deck to say hello to a friend, and grabbed some Adirondack chairs out past 3rd base and chilled out on them for a bit. The ushers taking the tickets gave me a bit of a hard time since I was wearing a Cardinals hat, but we had a good back and forth all in good fun. I will definitely be back to catch some other games here. I was really impressed with Sloan Park.

Had a great time! The weather was hot hot hot, but we enjoyed sitting in the lawn with our beverages and watching the game. Although, I couldn't believe how much the drinks cost! Pretty steep in my opinion, but I guess they know people will buy them.

Great park. Clean and accesible. Love the views and gray staff. Love this place and will be back.

Great place to watch a baseball game. The food, customer service and the ballpark itself were great. Nice Wrigley field elements. They really promote having a good family experience. It was more than a sellout, so a bit crowded, but I never felt that it was an excessively huge crowd. Like all MLB parks, there are way too many places serving alcohol and not enough places, serving other beverages and stuff for kids. I'm not objecting to beer and cocktail sales, but I think there's plenty of room for both to coexist.

Sloan Park is a clean, comfortable and easy-to-navigate ball park. It is the perfect size for feeling close to the game. They have a variety of food items as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The Chicago dog was awesome. Like all ball parks the concession prices are outrageous. Definitely a costly investment for a family. The park is always clean and the workers all seem to genuinely enjoy working there.

I've been to a lot of ballparks in the past 55 years, and as a Cubs fan, I do love going to Wrigley. But Sloan Park runs a close second. The volunteers, employees, staff, and concessionaires are friendly and courteous from beginning to end. The park is clean, the trash removed, and all lines move quickly. The food price is higher than on the street, but still cheaper that at MLB parks. Also the food quality compared with competing spring training facilities is better at Sloan. A great family venue. I love coming here.

Good times in Az. Spring training and fabulous weather. My only complaint is with the concessions. They advertise Chicago dogs and when I went to order a few, they said they were preparing more because they had ran out. After waiting nearly 15 minutes I found out that there is NO DIFFERENCE between a Chicago dog and a regular hot dog except for the bun and an extra $2! I could have saved time and money by ordering the regular dog! All of the toppings are "do it yourself " so virtually anyone could add the "Chicago " toppings to their regular hotdog! Terrible service and communication at the concession stand!

Went for a Fall League game. Plenty of parking. You need to purchase tickets online and they send you a QR code that is scanned for entry. Seating was General Admission. Good sight lines. Protective netting around the entire field which makes it hard to get players autographs. Good concessions. Huge Fan Shop but prices are very high. Being a newer stadium I think they should have put in more bathrooms. Dimensions are the same as Wrigley Field. One of my favorite ballparks in The Valley.

Not a bad seat in the house Family friendly Picnic areas Great food! And the CUBS!! So much fun here and really a great place to watch a game. Parking is easy and a short walk and the park is so easy to get around and truly great views at every seat. Great way to spend an afternoon

Loved this "mini" Wrigley Field Spring Training facility. We got to the stadium about 1 1/2 hours before the game started. Parking was in front of the Marriott hotel in the grass field. We paid an attendant $10 It was credit card only. Remember to park further out closer to the exit if you plan on leaving with the rest of the "crowd" We did get stuck in traffic on the way out. They were being pretty strict with the size of the bag they were allowing at the entrance. We brought two new bottles of water with us. We entered through the main entrance. The team shop was to the left. It was really packed but the line moved somewhat fast . The food options were really limited and the lines were really , really long. It was mostly hotdogs, popcorn and peanuts. They did have some cute cabanas bars that was serving whiskey etc. The best part of the stadium was that it was almost entirely shaded except for the bullpen corners and the lawn seats. They also had a mini Wrigley field sign that was cool for pictures. Fun stadium. Need healthier and more food options.

My first time ever at this ballpark and I was here for an Arizona Fall League game. Very nice venue. Well kept. One concession stand open that night for food and beverages, which were credit or debit card only, as was the ticket booth. Very friendly, helpful people working at this ballpark. All in all, I am very impressed and will have to catch a Spring Training game here sometime to see it in full-time action.

Sloan Park is an amazing baseball park, it's the Spring training home of the Chicago Cubs. This ball park is very new, and it really was a cool place to catch a day baseball game. This place has lots Chicago/Midwest food classics and beer options to make your experience fun. It's like being in Chicago with the Southwestern weather, which is a great combination. I sat down on the lawn right away, and ordered a cold craft beer to set the mood. It seems like half of the crowd was from the Midwest. From their accents to their conversations you'd hear talking to family back in Iowa. The Chicago dog was delicious, and it really made my day to get regional grub! The facilities are new and well kept, and they have lots of beer carts and food kiosks with bars to add to the fun atmosphere. It's in Mesa, and they have lots of parking options right off the freeway. The tickets sell quickly, so buy them early when Spring training tickets go on sale. It is a top notch ballpark, you will have lots of fun here!

Love this place, I'm a diehard Cubs fan and I bleed blue! But not my favorite fall ball park. Spring Train best park in the network but for fall all kinda bla. Take my mixed feelings as you will either way I'm a big baseball fan!!!

Wrigley Field Jr. is a beautiful ballpark! Catching a Cubs game in the desert is almost as magical of an experience as it is to catch it on the North Side with Lake Michigan as your backdrop (if you look over your shoulder that one direction and squint)! The entire Riverview Park area located next to Sloan Park was beautifully done and really provides a gorgeous and safe area to go watch a Spring Training ballgame! The food and drink are all reasonably priced (if you're comparing them to Wrigley's prices)... and the park lends itself to enjoying wonderful moments with other Cubs fans, whether they are visiting from the frozen tundra of Chicago or they got smart like I did and moved here to paradise! But I'm not judging... nope! *****FIVE STARS*****

Awesome place for Cubs fans! Replica Wrigley marquee sign, seats close to the field, great weather...only criticism is it is pricey. Tickets aren't cheap, nor is the food. The Chicago dog and polish are tasty. Much cheaper than Wrigley. Parking is reasonable and cheap. If you love the Cubs, you'll love Sloan Park.

Recapping my recent trip to Spring Training in Arizona, I mentioned to a non-baseball fan that my tickets to Sloan Park were $34 apiece. The non-baseball fan had no idea how to interpret this remark so I broke it down for her: For a game that means absolutely nothing, $34 (not even the highest priced seat) seems like a bit of a gouge. That said: * the Cubs did win the World Series recently; * this is a very nice new stadium; * they play the Cubs theme song at the end of the game (next best thing to being at Wrigley); and * the developers installed an iconic sign inside, beside which everyone will want to snap their obligatory "I was there" photo. Having visited three different ballparks* during 2018 Spring Training I can report that Sloan Park was the newest and nicest, with the best food offerings. Also, how can you beat "Mark the Beer Guy" singing his off-key version of "Take Me Out To the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch? Sloan Park was the only stadium that seemed to care where I sat, so if your intention is to buy cheap seats and sit in more expensive seats, it may be more difficult to do so here than in some of the older ballparks. That said, seats can certainly be had here for a lot less than I paid. The Cubs have built a very nice, intimate stadium here and they seem to have incorporated experiences that make for a fun afternoon. The whole thing comes at a cost (additional $10 to park) but at least it feels like someone cares and someone tried and in the end, their prices weren't too far off of those charged at lesser ballparks. The game may not have counted for anything, but Sloan park makes for a nice user experience. * Also attended Hohokam Stadium (Oakland A's) and Maryville Baseball Park (Milwaukee Brewers).

Dumbest most inefficient system of parking ever. Love the park but we're missing half the game due to this. Absolutely crazy lack of traffic control dumb dumb dumb

Wanted to go to a Cubs spring training game and had never been to Sloan Park since it opened. Traffic was terrible for the 6:05 start and we thought we left enough time to get there. Unfortunately we didn't pre buy a parking pass. It took over a half hour just to get from the 101 to the general parking lot so we just barely got there before the start. It was very crowded, music was not that great, the bathroom was out of soap and towels just like the original Wrigley. More like a regular season game than spring training.

Came to spring training. Went and watch the Angels and Mets. Great park. One of the best I have been to her in Arizona.

First time going to a pre-session game. Gorgeous day to go see a game. Perfect weather. Average game. Cubs won. Great time with my wife. Definitely going back

It was a beautiful day yesterday and the park was full of fans. It was our first visit to Sloan Park and we thought it was a great place to watch a game. However, the parking situation was horrible. We were told to get in the right lane and really should have been in the left lane. We didn't get into the game until the second inning. Also, the food lines were incredibly long. These issues took away from our enjoyment of the park and the game. On another visit, we will give it another try.

What's not to love about Wrigley Field Junior away from its rightful home on Clark. Yesterday's spring training game was my first experience at Sloan Park and it was a great ball park to relax with a cold brew and watch a game. It was so nice to get a taste of the windy city on our desert vacation and eat a Chicago dog and watch my Cubbies play. They were fairly inexpensive lawn seats and it's nice to stretch out on the grass during a game versus a micro seat with no room. The game was easy to enjoy and the smaller size of the park offered great views of the action from any position. There are multitudes of concessions to choose from but bring your savings account with you because everything is Wrigley Field prices. That would be my only complaint but it's 2019 and these are corporate empires so what can a fan expect. The 1 pm game was hot as hell and parents had little kids running around with no clothes on and I can only imagine how fun they would be after turning into lobsters but hey, not my kids. All in all it was a fun experience to watch a Cubs game in March in 87 degreee weather!

As someone who has lived in Chicago with a Cubs fan husband, Sloan Park does a good job of giving you a mini-Wrigley experience. After visiting for the first time a couple of weeks ago, I can say that it's one of my favorite parks in the Cactus League. The only downfall is that the ticket prices are definitely one of the highest in the league. If you want to get a snapshot of the mini-Wrigley sign, then you have no choice but to visit. However, if you want to see the Cubs, I would recommend trying to visit at a less expensive park. Other than the high ticket price, we definitely enjoyed our visit.

Spring training in Arizona is my absolute favorite. This was my first time coming to Sloan Park. Parking isn't too bad if you are okay with walking. Pricing starts right around $5, the closer you get the more pricey. As far as ticket prices go, the Cubs and there cult following will cost you a bit more for lawn tickets than normal spring training prices. Average ticket cost for lawn is right around $40. Food and drink inside the venue is pricey per usual. A beer will cost you right around $15. If you get there early enough, there's plenty of time to pre-game in the parking lot. Overall, the field is very nice and the stadium very well kept and clean. This is a great place for any cubs fan to come and enjoy the players up close!

Every Spring the sky's go blue, flowers bloom and the Cubs have Spring Training. Sloan Field houses the Chi-Town boys called the CUBS. Amazing new stadium was built a few years back for the Chicago Cubs in the Arizona desert is spectacular. You have the feeling like your at Wrigley Field enjoying the boys of summer. You've got the 50/50 raffle tickets being sold, OLD STYLE BEER flowing ( if you can locate it) and plenty of Chicago dogs & Italian sausages being grilled to perfection.The outfield has two grass hills for fans to lay out in the sun or if your lucky enough to get a ticket the seats are spacious but limited. If your looking for one of the premier stadiums in the valley then this is paradise. Being a Cubs fan is only a bonus outside of the hot sun beating down on you. See you next spring for Cubs baseball.
