Where to Stay in London When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"As Chelsea’s splurge option, Sloane Place has beautifully decorated rooms focused on comfort and style (rainfall showers, Nespresso machines, smart TVs), plus a chic colorful bar and a garden room with a terrace." - Matthew Kepnes

Fantastic, comfortable, understated hotel in a great location. Explained we were celebrating an anniversary and they couldn’t have been nicer with an upgraded room and a lavish breakfast. Staff were great. Would definitely stay again.

This property is a boutique hotel offering a pleasant atmosphere in a prime London location. Guests should be aware that breakfast service in the restaurant area may require a brief wait. Overall, I would consider staying here again.

My wife and I loved the location, and the bathroom was very new, but the room we stayed in was the tiniest we’ve ever stayed in. Tiny bed, no closet, and we were barely able to fit ourselves and our carry‑on luggage inside. We were told there was no availability for a larger room, which we understand, of course!

Small but perfectly formed! Excellent location for Cadigan Hall and has some nice bars and restaurants very close by. We stayed in a Cosy Double. It was a little small, but it had a comfy bed and an excellent shower with Moulton Brown toiletries. The AC wasn't very good, but we could open a window. The curtains didn't fit properly, so the light came through early! We'd definitely stay again if the price was right!

I just had a fantastic lunch at Sloane Place. The 3-course set menu is great value for the price - the quality of the food is outstanding! The beef carpaccio starter was delicious, while the seabass fillet was spectacular and impeccably presented. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect way to end the meal. Impeccable service - professional yet friendly - from Masha and Grace. Kleri was super helpful as well. Thank you guys for the great lunch and the warm hospitality!

Incredible location. Nice but small rooms. Beds in the standard double room are very small and not suitable for two people. The reception staff is extremely unfriendly and not worthy of a 4-star hotel. No greetings when entering the hotel, no help is offered, never a thanks, and barely a word is spoken to you. The restaurant staff, however, is very friendly. Breakfast and coffee are very nice. Unfortunately, due to the poor hospitality of the hotel staff, we will not return here again (as returning customers).

Yelp
This was my Mum's 2nd favorite dinner of our 8 days in London (this trip). You can look at my profile for Ffionas. But if we had to do Life again, we would have discovered Sloane Place Restaurant earlier in our trip and ate here twice! It will definitely be a place where I come back to on a future trip! It is attached to a very posh Chelsea hotel (Sloane Place). The food matches the hotel (and private club attached as well). The food was excellent. I had the Veal wiener schnitzel - perfectly cooked veal with a breading so light you barely known it is there except for the crunch of breadcrumbs and butter. My mother had a caesar salad, wchih was "huge" (her words) but a great salad none-the-less. The "piece-de-resistance" was the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel. We had this dessert at most of the restaurants on our trip,a nd my Mother declared this is The Best (ssshh don't tell Ffiona!)
