What a fabulous return visit to this fabulously refurbished hotel. We stayed in a junior suite overlooking Sloane Square which was a delight whilst enjoying breakfast in our room. The bathtub with views of the square was also a highlight. We frequented the newly opened The Knox bar in the basement and enjoyed the cocktails and martinis whilst listening to some lovely soul sounds from the 70’s and 80s. Good to see vinyl being used. Staff were excellent from arrival to departure.

Oh my gosh, I have to tell you about this hotel! I arrived and found out I was double-booked for my stay. I had already paid for one of the reservations, and I would have to pay for at least one night of the second one, which could have been a huge mess. I had used a third-party to book (I’ll definitely book directly from now on!), and Katy, the warm, kind and tenacious reception supervisor, stuck with me as I tried to chat with that vendor online. In the end, the vendor had to talk to Katy and Michele in reservations who spent over an hour negotiating on my behalf. They were so helpful! They were able to cancel both reservations without any penalty, rebook for the same amount I had paid (the exchange rate had changed a lot since I had paid in advance), and even though there was no fault on the hotel’s part, they upgraded me to an amazing room (room 118 - I highly recommend it!) for the whole five-night stay. From that point on, the staff would always check in with me, ask how my room was, how my trip was going, and how they could help me out. I’ve never experienced this level of customer service, and I’ve traveled a lot. One of the hardest parts of leaving London was leaving this incredible hotel and their lovely staff.

This is our second year to go to the Chelsea Flower Show and the Sloane Square Hotel is the ideal location for that. It's right on Sloane Square and most businesses are decorated for the show, including the hotel. The hotel itself has special features and events connected to the flower show. |My husband is very complimentary of all the places in the rooms to plug in our devices! It may be an old building but it is completely up to date and modern. Good water pressure, good air conditioning. The service is fast and efficient. We stayed this time for six nights and were very comfortable. The entire Chelsea area is a fun area and we enjoy walking around it, every direction is a new adventure!

We had a two night stay at this hotel to visit Chelsea Flower Show. The hotel is excellent in terms of location, staff and facilities. Our room on the fourth floor was small but perfectly formed for a short stay. The bed was very comfortable and the effective air conditioning was so quiet, we slept well. All the staff were so friendly, particularly the door man (didn't get his name unfortunately) but he gave a great welcome when we came back and took time to chat about our day. Lovely man. The hotel restaurant is Cote. Great for evening meals. The downstairs bar was lovely for a cocktail before eating. Breakfast in the Lounge was an extensive continental style buffet and very tasty. All in all a wonderful stay and a pleasure to recommend.

I booked the hotel for seven nights by ringing direct then followed up with emails. I requested a quiet back double room. As I was celebrating an 80th birthday I recommended it to friends from both Australia and the UK who joined me. On arrival I was given a very small room at the front of the hotel on the first floor! Not what I had requested and also made noisier by roadworks happening outside the front door! It was all fixed when I produced the email that contained my request etc by the Manager Stuart who gave me a larger 4th floor back room and really looked after me. I would suggest anyone booking goes direct or copies in the hotel itself as the reservations department doesn’t acknowledge special requests. The hotel room (the larger one - for seven nights the small double standard was not desirable) offered comfort in every way apart from the wardrobe which apparently has been complained about considerably. There is a pantry like robe that houses a minibar, safe (on the floor very difficult to open/close and if you have any age /disability problems etc forget it!) that has no room whatsoever for hanging clothes even for one person yet alone two! This is an absolute must to address! On the positive side the location is superb with tube, bus, taxi ranks all around. Shopping, restaurants etc are abundant in lovely settings. The hotel offers a home from home experience. The staff are superb. Friendly, personalised assistance is offered. Rooms are serviced daily and are pristine. I have given it a five star rating even with the initial hiccup as every attempt was made to address that. I plan to return, as do my friends next year. Thank you Stuart and staff for making my birthday celebration in London memorable!!

Google
We cannot fault the Sloane Square Hotel. It is well located, well maintained and the staff cannot do enough to help. We liked our room (a twin) which was located to the side of the building - very quiet for London. We would particularly commend the young man who looked after the buffet breakfast area - he was totally focused upon serving the guests. We will certainly be back

Yelp
The hotel was nice. I had a little trouble with the hot water but they quickly fixed it. I wish they had 24 hour room service or a late night snack area. Other than that, I had a great stay.

Yelp
Basic room was small but fantastic location. LA Mia Mamma highly recommend for Italian. The door guy Damitri was amazing. Kind and helped us in every way. He went out of his way to make sure we were ok.

Yelp
Pros: 1) great location right on Sloan Square minutes from Kings Road, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park - most central and beautiful promenade areas in London. 2) staff is pleasant and accommodating. I requested an early check in at 8 am and for £80 pounds got upgraded to a better room which was available for an immediate check in. Cons: 1) at the time of my check in the hotel was and still is undergoing major renovations- replacing floors in the main lobby. The lobby looked terrible without places to sit and floors like that of a construction site rather than a boutique hotel. The hotel did not disclose this information at the time of the reservation nor did they offer any compensation for their condition at the time of check-in. This was very inconvenient because I had several business meeting scheduled at the hotel which I had to move elsewhere. 2) regular rooms are tiny, very run down with old cracked showers and toilets. The rooms are so small it's virtually impossible for two people to stand up at the same time. The club room we got upgraded to for an extra charge was only slightly better. Both rooms we had were looking into a concrete wall.

Yelp
Sloane Square Hotel is in a good location, however, it is really old and the service is not good. This hotel needs refurbishing.

Yelp
Love this hotel, great location and well appointed rooms and staff. Not noisy despite the location. Book in advance and you can lock in compatible rates.

Yelp
Our first time in London and my friend recommended this place to us and we were impressed. Check-in was quick and efficient, although they only had one elevator it seemed to be always available or maybe it was just extra quick. The rooms were on the small-side, but we were right in the middle of downtown, but they did have A/C which we found out to be not too common later in Scotland. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom spacious for the size of the room and very clean. The also provided a little Nespresso machine, which was common to the Keurig but tasted much better. The hotel also had a very nice tea room which they served a limited breakfast from and offered wines during the early evening. The view from this room was extremely nice and offered a pleasant place to sit and unwind. The local of this hotel was key and was only over a mile to the Buckingham, close to downtown London and right across the street from the tube. Immediately outside the hotel there were a few restaurants and bars, plus a plethora of shopping. Definitely a very nice experience overall and I would encourage those passing through to check them out.

Yelp
Just stayed one night at this well located hotel on Sloane Square. Decent service, pleasant staff and reasonable rooms in a nice neighbourhood. We were upgraded to a larger 'Club Room', which was very pleasant. The hotel is not necessarily what I'd describe as a Design hotel, although there were touches of clever and tongue in cheek decor about the place (the painting of the unmade bed by the lift in the lobby). But the Club room we had on the 4th floor (room 402) had the most gorgeous window seat looking out over Sloane Square. The bathroom was huge and had both a deep roll top bath (which easily fit two!) and a shower, which could have been larger. They have a odd blue light in the shower and water pressure and temperature left a little to be desired, plus there is little storage in the bathroom, which is annoying given it's size. The bed was very comfy, the linens fresh and soft and the view, as I've mentioned was great. The service was discreet but helpful and turn down in the evenings brought us hot chocolate (although no kettle or milk to make it with) and a smile. We'll definitely go back if we need to be in the area again. Would be interested to know what their smaller rooms are like.

Yelp
The hotel was in a great location for tourism. On top of being next to both the underground and to multiple bus stops, it was quite close to Westminster. The room was clean and comfortable, had a nice coffee machine, and had a nice view of Sloane Square. Besides a minor malfunctioning of the mini bar refrigerator, everything was great about the room. The staff, however, were unfriendly and unwelcoming. We were never greeted once during the 2 nights we stayed there. When we asked for recommendations in the area to the staff in the front desk, they referred us to the luggage attendant, who then proceeded to search online for restaurants. During one of the nights of our stay, the hotel experienced a fire alarm incident, where it falsely went off continuously at 2:30am. Thinking it was an actual fire, we proceeded down the stairs following typical fire protocol. On our way down we ran into staff. Rather than receiving any informative updates or explanations, the staff only told us that "it's fine" and that we should go back to the rooms. As we were heading back up, we noticed another staff heading towards the fire alarm with duct tape -- so clearly we were fine. When we returned to the room the fire alarm went off a few more times. I think the entire incident was terribly handled by the staff.

Yelp
The rooms are a bit on the small side, but the hotel is clean and modern on the inside (very charming on the outside) and is located in the heart of Sloane Square. It's within easy walking distance to many sites and across the street from a subway station. It was the perfect base for our visit.

Yelp
This hotel is nicely located with good service and decent prices. It was conveniently located near my friend, so I was able to walk between hotel and houses easily. It was a nice hotel, although the rooms were quite small and bathrooms tiny and without a lot of light, but all in all a good experience.

Yelp
Excellent service, nice rooms, and a great place to stay when you look for a good hotel and a bar with decent people Clean, straight British and offering an enjoyable stay with listening closely to what you want to have Nice one, keep it in mind!

Yelp
Pretty good hotel. Nice, quite, awesome location. The room was small, but to be expected in London. Internet worked well. Right at the Underground, Downsides: I think they have one ironing board for the whole hotel. What? Also, no alarm clock. Which means no clock and no alarm. Its fine to rely on your phone, but there is no plug near the bed. All of this is minor (thus the 4 stars), but I hope the hotel is reading this (and yep, I did mention it to them).
