This was my first visit to The Slow Bite, and the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the warm, comforting aroma of a delicious bakery—it instantly set the tone for a great experience. The space itself is bright, clean, and thoughtfully set up, with an open layout that feels welcoming. While seating is a bit limited, it didn’t take away from the charm of the place.
Unfortunately, the day I visited, they were out of matcha, so I wasn’t able to try one of their matcha lattes, which I had heard great things about. A bit disappointing, but definitely something to look forward to on my next visit.
I did, however, try the turkey croissant, and it was absolutely delightful. The croissant was flaky and fresh, filled with quality ingredients and just the right amount of sauce—not too heavy, but flavourful enough to tie everything together. A perfect light bite that hit the spot.
The gentleman at the cashier was super friendly and made the experience even better. It's always nice to be greeted with a warm attitude—it really makes a difference.
All in all, The Slow Bite left a great first impression, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try their other pastries (and hopefully finally get that matcha latte!). Highly recommend this place if you're in the area.
