I’ve been wanting to try this relatively new cafe for a while. Finally made my way here on a chilly windy December day.
The atmosphere is clean, minimalist, and open. The floor to ceiling windows let in light and I do like the glass kitchen walls through which you can see some of the baking action. They had a handful of seats and a bench with small attached tables, and wifi. However, the air inside was very chilly; all the customers kept their winter coats on and I could hear the wind squealing through the windows. More heat and insulation would make the space feel a lot cozier!
I had a plain croissant and a matcha latte. As others have noted, the matcha is fantastic! not too sweet and very smooth, albeit a bit pricey at $6.50. The croissant was large, well-laminated and well-baked, but I found the flavour a bit lacking, almost neutral tasting. I would have liked a more buttery flavour and a hint of salt.
Overall a nice cafe, well made pastries, and with room to improve!
