Service was friendly, but a bit short at head. The atmosphere was cozy, tending to be originally Ukrainian style. The level of the food wasn't what we expected. We had borscht and solanka soup for starters since it was cold and rainy outside. The soups were warm but a bit anonymous in taste. The same for the main course. The food wasn't restaurant level but more cafe level. The tea was a Lipton tea bag. The price was reasonable. The restaurant was almost full.

The dishes were delicious, and I really enjoyed them. The only thing I would suggest is that they didn’t ask whether the dishes should be served when ready or all together. Also, when ordering bacon with the borscht, I would have liked to see some garlic on the plate as well.

Great food, polite service. Portions were just right and a vast selection of dishes can make it hard to decide right away, but any choice would be like hitting a jackpot. I will definitely be coming back when in Kraków next time - highly reccomend!

The food was OK but not quantities. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great The wifi didn't work, or it didn't exist. I didn't like the fact that they asked me what side I want for the plate medallion. I said broccoli, but they didn't tell me they want money for both broccoli and boiled potatoes. It was OK but won't go again there.

Got done very solid borscht and salo. Service was incredibly quick and prices reasonable. The whole place is pretty narrow but goes a way back and even has private outdoor courtyard.

We came as a group of 9 people on a Friday, and a separate area of the restaurant was open for us. The service is so great, as all people working here are Ukrainian, but the food is incredibly authentic, delicious, representing all the traditional Ukrainian flavours from the east and the west of the country beautifully (I can attest to that as a Ukrainian myself). I’d definitely make sure to come here if you’re curious to try Ukrainian food, drinks, or maybe just feel like you’re in Ukraine and experience our hospitality. Thank you to the wonderful team of this restaurant - you’re representing our country incredibly well!

Our waitress is just the loveliest , sorry we didn't get her name. She was so patient with us as we struggled to decide on what we wanted to try. We had the beetroot soup, the beef stew (szarke), the trout and pork chops with apple sauce, plus a carafe of red wine. Cost us slightly more than £30, what a bargain. The fish reminded me of Asian common home cooked fish, which was deep fried whole. The soups were all delicious, especially when I'm not usually a beetroot fan. The pork chop but fruity for us but cooked perfectly. Overall, lively experience.

Great place to dine! After having tried all the delicious Polish food, we came across this Ukrainian restaurant. They have a rich menu with many good choices to choose from, lots of traditional food with a nice atmosphere, and even the staff are wearing traditional clothes. It's a great place if you want to try something different, especially if you like traditional food from different countries.

Yelp
Great spot for Ukrainian food located close to the main city square! They have a cute little courtyard towards the back of the restaurant that you can eat at. Service is quite friendly and quick. My brother and I ordered two soups, two entrees, a soda, and a bottle of water all for less then $25 USD, so it's quite affordable if you're an American tourist like we are. We tried both their borscht and white borscht. The borscht with beets was a great mix of savory and sour and I loved the sour cream dollop which I took a little bit of with each sip. The white borsht tasted like a liquid pastrami sandwich. The beef goulash with potato pancakes tasted like a great beef stew and the potato pancakes have a nice soft, spongey texture. Overall, great food!

Yelp
Very honest Ukrainian restaurant. Excellent service, amazing Solianka (L'viv-style soup) and eggs Barszcz. Nice trout and chicken with toast. It felt almost like being in the Ukraine. Very moderate prices and - last but not least - aircon!!! Despite being in a very central and touristy area it's not a tourists trap.

Yelp
I never write reviews, but this one must be a warning to everyone going to this restaurant. Please look at the photos. There are hairs in the food! (you can imagine what kind...) The meat also smells rotten! The Solianka soup is just a bowl of smoked sausages. It can barely be called soup. The salad is very poor quality and not fresh at all. The Chicken Kiev looks like burnt chicken fingers and tastes horrible - I've never seen anything like it and found far better in frozen packaging. I like Ukrainian food, but whatever was served today was one of the worst meals I ever ordered. Everything is going to the garbage. Be warned! If you come away from this place without getting sick, consider yourself very lucky. The kitchen here needs to be checked by the health department.

Yelp
This place was so tasty!!! I ordered the borscht, the assorted pierogi platter, the cheese cakes and coffee and everything was so good! I was also quite happy with the atmosphere. Would come back for sure:)

Yelp
Smak Ukraiński is a Ukrainian restaurant right in the center of Krakow's tourist area. It's actually the restaurant's second location (the original is near the Wawel Castle on Kanonicza street). As you can imagine, there's a lot of overlap between Polish and Ukrainian cooking. Many items on the menu here are flat out Polish (e.g. potato pancakes with goulash). There're some unique items though, like the Żarke, a beef stew with bread baked over it. The food is decent, although it isn't much better than what you can get at a cheap bar mleczny. Prices are high, but not outrageously so. In the immediate vicinity you can't do much better (you can definitely do a lot worse). Service is prompt and your meals shows up quickly. It's a perfectly reasonable choice if you short on time or just don't feel like searching further afield.

Yelp
What do you do when you've walked around Krakow for ages and can't find anywhere Polish to eat? You go to a Ukrainian restaurant! The food here was quite good, and the service was very friendly. It has a nice outdoor area at the back and a decent range of options. If you're in the area and tired of Polish food, this is definitely worth trying :)

Yelp
Very cute out door seating area. The staff was kind. I was kind of disappointed my server did not speak Ukrainian, but that did not affect the service/food. They had awesome Georgia red wine that got 2 bottles of! You should stop by for some authentic Ukrainian food!

Yelp
Amazing food at a great price. You must try there Serniki, it is on point. The service was fast and pleasant. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
When we went here, it was so crowded that the staff seated us and some others in the cellar. Dim and on the cold side (as you would expect from a basement), but a good experience. All members of our group liked our food. We would go there again, and likely will.
