The main reason for the 3 stars is mainly the price. Nothing on the menu is particularly new or exciting, neither the selection of fresh pastries and cookies. Portions are London-like. The filter coffee, rosted by them, is nothing special. I ended up being rather disappointed with the food, even though the staff is attentive and quick, the environment is quiet and warm, and I can see myself spending some time there reading. Lowering the price 15%-20% would make this place to go up dramatically.

I found the cafe well-presented with adequate seating and cosy decor. However, It can get busy; the queuing system is what you make out of it. Bless you in advance if queue up during a busy time. My cause of concern, and other reviews mention the same, the staff just don’t care. I ordered an iced flat white to be handed an iced latte?. The barista called out an iced latte a few times, I approached to clarify, and was effortlessly presented with “here you go mate”….. the iced latte, it was my problem. I sought to clarify, but no response. I suppose the coffee is their saving grace; the beans taste spectacular, smooth and fresh. I’ll continue buying their beans; I recommend.

Usual SB friendliness, service, great drinks and light food. Loose tea & terrific coffee. Spacious, with sunny outside seating. Easy access. Toilets downstairs.

A special find is to be made in this cafe, greeted by friendly and informative staff on our recent visit. Following some gorgeous cappuccinos as seen on the attached picture myself and my partner settled in for some breakfast. I had the delicious vegan breakfast, excellently cooked and flavoursome. My partner had the vegan Shakshouka and thoroughly enjoyed it. No complaints to be had.

Was suggested by a friend for our trip to Brighton, and glad we did! The vegan pastries were great, as was the coffee!

Very good, third wave, coffee. A few options for friands and croissants etc, but focus is the coffee. Child friendly- it has quite an open space.

Chilled environment to enjoy my iced coffee on a sunny Summers day. Plenty of brunch options on the menu. Cheerful folk behind the counter.

Yelp
Lovely spot recommended by a friend. It was too early for a coffee for me so I ended up having a matcha. Excellent matcha flat white, the best I've had I think. Also had some toast which was great but perhaps a tad dehydrated?

Yelp
Brighton boasts a diverse café culture that caters to the needs of locals and visitors alike from the waffles to the Wi-Fi. Your Brighton and Hove coffee experience isn't complete until you've visited one (or all!) of the six conveniently placed Small Batch Coffee Company sites dotted around the city. Pop-up pitches greet the commuters at Brighton and at Hove railway station and both areas boast two café's a-piece on busy central thoroughfares. So do take the time to sample some beans from these enterprising Brighton baristas. My local SBCC sits on the corner of Norfolk Square and is a welcome addition to one of the less grand regency squares currently undergoing a transformation. All the sites have a distinctly hip interior that you'd expect from a seriously cool coffee house. Personality can be found in the nod to local attractions, such as the pavilion domes in the shop signage and the beach hut mural on the Norfolk interior. If you're after a speedy verdict, THE COFFEE IS AMAZING. You can now move on. I had a cappuccino that came in a generously sized cup and finished off with a heart motif. The heart did look a bit like an onion, but that's ok. I love onions. The taste was rich and warm and a cut above your regular coffee on the go. The reasonably priced drinks come in at around £2-£3 and the tea is just as lovingly brewed as its flavoursome coffee brother. If you fancy a nibble there is an array of cookies, cakes and hot snacks for between £1.50-£3 that are fresh and tasty. I opted for a slither of brownie. I've been tricked by brownies in the past. It's hard to talk about, but they've been deceptively brown yet distinctly lacking in choccy goodness. I'm happy to report that this sweet treat was moist and rich. Phew. So whether you're a connoisseur or after a quick quench, be sure to stop here and have a cup of the hot stuff.

Yelp
Small Batch Coffee Company serves great coffee in a beautiful and stylish setting. There are several Small Batches scattered around Brighton and Hove, but this one has to be one of my favourites! It's spacious and comfortable and is a great place to start the day, with a nice cup of tasty coffee in your hand. Coffee places can sometimes be quite cramped, noisy or busy places, but Small Batch doesn't feel like this at all. The big windows and spread out tables make for a really open feel to the place - leaving you with enough room to relax and not feel as if you're sharing a table with the people sitting next to you. Now, I'm very much a basic coffee kinda girl! It's usually no milk, no froth, no fancy beans! I'm not ashamed to say that I can't especially tell much difference between my coffees and will happily drink even the cheapest instant coffee and enjoy it nonetheless. That being said, the coffee in here really does taste different. It tastes real, if you will... It's strong and flavourful and, honestly, I'd worry that if I stopped off here for long enough I'd soon after never be able to drink my beloved instant coffee ever again. The one pitfall of this place is their lack of wifi. I had just settled myself down with a hot cup of coffee and a opened up my laptop to begin work, when I realised. Ultimately, it's not the end of the world. There are plenty of cafes nearby with wifi available and, in a way (as long as you're expecting it) there's something rather charming about a coffee place where you can't connect. Use this as you time-to-relax coffee spot, rather than your work-away-from-work area.

Yelp
This is yet another great Small Batch Coffee. This is the biggest branch I believe, set in a lovely spacious building. What can I say, like my other review of Small Batch, this place is great! Make mine a latte :)
