Summary: Well located and comfortable hotel. Lovely staff and private spa. Booked the hotel for a 3 days trip before Xmas. Arriving at the hotel, the staff awaits you and offers lot of advice. The hôtel is quiet with a private spa you can book free of charge (sauna and hammam). The room was small but comfortable. Very technological with many little add ons like heating floor in the bathroom well appreciated. I rated the room 4 stars as it was a little small and the room temperature could get quite hot. Nevertheless super recommended.

We stayed in a Superior Room for 5 nights. This is a beautiful hotel and we had a beautiful room. It had many thoughtful touches such as a nightlight in the bathroom, a mirror outside the bathroom with an outlet next to it (so I could continue getting ready to go while my partner was in the shower) and great amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast was great - a fully made to order meal with excellent coffee and tea. Staff were very friendly - helping with printing documents, taxi’s and such. ||This room also has a nice small balcony. The only problem that we encountered was that the door to our balcony was broken so it would not open and also would not seal to block noise (other windows were noise proof). We were told they needed to order a part to fix it. This was a problem because during this week they were demolishing the building across the street from our room and they started work at 6:30. I think the noise would not have been as noticeable if the door seal had been fully functional. The staff were very sympathetic and offered several suggestions to manage the problem. Unfortunately, they were fully booked so there was only so much they could do.||Even with this issue, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Absolutely loved our stay at Boutique Hotel Das Tyrol! From the moment we walked in, I was blown away by the incredible art that fills every corner of the hotel. It feels like you’re staying in a private gallery — stylish, elegant, and full of personality. The breakfast was outstanding — beautifully presented, with so many delicious options to start the day. I especially loved the room where breakfast is served; it’s bright, chic, and the perfect place to linger over a coffee. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the staff. Every single person we met was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their attention to detail and kindness made us feel completely at home. This hotel captures everything that makes Vienna special: art, culture, sophistication, and heart. I can’t recommend it highly enough — truly one of the best boutique stays I’ve ever experienced!

Great little hotel set inside an old building. Due to the age of the building, beware if you have issues with walking or climbing stairs. The hotel doesn’t have a ramp at the entrance and a very small two person or one person with suitcase lift. The hotel has 5 floors, so expect to use the stairs a lot. As for the hotel itself, it’s has all the mod cons you expect from a hotel. The rooms are lovely, modern, clean and well equip. We didn’t opt for the breakfast and we were in walking distance of the many cafes around Vienna. The hotel has a small spa for guest but has to be pre booked. We did notice the hotel bar always appeared closed when back from an evening out at around 10pm. The staff were lovely, professional and always on hand to help. Would highly recommend this hotel but in our opinion, not suited for guests with a disability that requires either a wheelchair or climbing stairs.

This hotel is so cute!! The service is top notch highly suggest to get the breakfast included, book the spa for yourself such a great experience. Allll the staff is very kind. The rooms are small and so cute my only thing is they need new mattresses very lumpy same for the pillows. Lots of unnecessary furniture in the room that takes too much space especially when you try to fit two large luggage’s in the room. Other than that this place is perfect!

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in; cannot recommend it highly enough. We arrived on an overnight flight from the U.S., and the kind and delightful staff allowed us to check in early and provided breakfast at the restaurant - which was so very appreciated. The hotel is STUNNING; with unique art and elegant, well appointed decor throughout. Although our room was small, the cozy bed was glorious, as was the beautiful shower and the fluffy, comfy bathrobes. The A/C also functioned extremely well and the room was wonderfully cool, which I’m realizing is somewhat of a rarity in Austria. :) I couldn’t wait for breakfast each morning - best cappuccino I’ve ever had. :) Food was delicious; I highly recommend the avocado and spinach toast with poached egg and hollandaise. Location is also stellar- we easily walked into the old town section and to various tourist attractions. We left today for Innsbruck and I already miss Das Tyrol. It was a privilege to stay here and I hope we return!

Adorable boutique hotel in perfect location near museum quarter. Never needed a taxi to get around to shops, museums, or restaurants. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and real art hanging on the walls, beds comfortable, amenities nice, and restaurant has delicious coffee and pastries. We stayed in the largest king room with balcony. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
This hotel was simply incredible. Every detail in the room and lobby was immaculate, and the staff was wonderful. We saw the owner every morning in the hotel, checking in and making sure that everything was running smoothly for the guests (even though she manages four different hotels). The room was beautiful with heated floors in the bathroom, beautiful lighting, and unique artwork. We cannot wait to come back here.

Yelp
Like what the description saids, small luxury hotel...The room was small, there are bigger ones but at the time of the booking this was the only room left. Nevertheless the room is cute, luxurious, modern. I thought they have there own garage parking, but it was off-site parking but it is walking distance from the hotel and fee is cheaper than other parking garage near.

Yelp
My travel companion and I were so pleased with our stay at Hotel Das Tyrol. Here are just a few of things we loved: - The gorgeous, unique room. Our room (and especially bathroom) were very reasonably-sized, clean, and quiet. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we appreciated all the little touches such as chocolates on our pillows and the cozy bathrobe and slippers! - The amazing sauna. Honestly, when I saw pictures of it on TripAdvisor, this was one of the primary reasons I booked the hotel, and it did not disappoint. The sauna was absolutely stunning, and the aquarium was the coolest. I also appreciated that it was available for private use. When my friend and I reserved it, we didn't know how booked up it would be, but there were quite a few times available. - The staff. Throughout our time there, we experienced nothing but excellent, professional service, from a map and helpful recommendations at check-in to Mozartkuglen at check-out! I used the laundry service arranged through the hotel and they couldn't have made it any simpler: I dropped off my clothes in the morning and they were already waiting for me in my room upon my return after dinner. - The location, which was perfect. It extremely walkable (within 5-20 minutes) of many art museums, cathedrals, the Hofburg, Kärntner Straße, etc. As a matter of fact, with the exception of our trip out to the Schönbrunn Palace, we didn't end up needing to utilize public transit at all in Vienna. I would gladly stay here again, and if you're looking for a hotel in Vienna, I'd certainly recommend Hotel Das Tyrol!

Yelp
solid five stars, especially for the location, value, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. rooms were cozy, but clean with high ceilings, coffee and sweets on our pillows every afternoon. reasonably priced. there's a small private spa in the basement you can book for privacy, steam, sauna and showers we didn't eat in the restaurant but peeked in at breakfast and it looked good in a great location on the Mariahilferstrasse which is one of the nice shopping streets and pedestrian malls. just far enough from the city center to have better rates than the better known hotels, but just a short 10 - 15 walk to all the key city attractions (Vienna Opera House, Imperial Palace, Museum Quarter, Naschtmarket, etc.) the staff really made this place a great experience. super friendly, helpful with directions and public transit, calling cabs. plus they made two excellent dinner recommendations for us (reviewed separately)

Yelp
The Hotel "Das Tyrol" is a hidden gem with a great location in the heart of the Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's largest shopping street, and at a walking distance from the museum quarter. I booked 5 rooms last March as my company was attending the European Conference of Radiology and I was pleasantly surprised from the very first moment. This hotel has a superior customer service: Betina Fruhstuck, Christopher Diensthuber and the other 2 employees whose names unfortunately I did not write down have been attentive to all our needs, giving us great advise, booking restaurants and taxis and making us feel very welcome guests at all times. The rooms are small but very clean and nicely decorated. The Nespresso coffeemaker in the rooms is a nice touch and the bathrooms are all new and functional. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the personnel is very attentive. I will definitely use this hotel again for my future stays in Vienna and recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit this great city.

Yelp
This hotel was superb. The staff was extremely helpful with restaurants, concerts, and flights. The rooms had were beautifully appointed and had everything a traveller needs. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very attentive. Location was great; close to museums, the Imperial palace and the main historical sites. Loved the birthday bottle of wine! Would recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
Great Location in the MQ, convenient access to the underground stop and a lot of the tourist destinations. Parking can be a bit pricey but its to be expected in any major city in Europe. The breakfast provided was great and the lady who helped us during our stay was great. Pay a little more for this hotel if you must, its money well spent.

Yelp
Stayed there in early September 2014. Great staff, wonderful room, comfortable, great breakfast, the hotel is very nicely done with modern art. Its a little walk from the center of town, but the neighborhood around it is filled with good - great restaurants and shops. Close enough to the metro to let you go anywhere.
