WONDERFUL Place. Relatively central if you consider easy access to the U-Bahn (which is also really useful and easy to use, since you can just download an app to purchase and access tickets). Room was pleasantly modern and large. Bathroom was the only one we had during our trip that was set up really well (we stayed in 5 hotels prior to getting to this one). It had an electrical outlet (regular, not just for shavers) in the bathroom (most in Europe don't), the shower was large and really nice, the bed was comfortable, it had lots of windows and doors to allow fresh air in (it did have AC also though). The room had a fridge, but it was very small and highly specialized for holding drinks (you won't be able to fit any takeaway in there). If you don't mind walking, there is a very nice self-serve launderette about 10 min away. The staff at the hotel were AMAZING. ALL the staff. From the reception to breakfast to the occasional cleaning staff we met, they were all superbly nice and accommodating (THANK YOU!!). Everyone seemed to be fluent in more than just German and English (I wish I could say the same for myself!)||The only things I would warn travelers about (not the hotel's responsibility, just something to note): The closest parking was 48 Euro a night and they ONLY take MC or cash (not VISA). We had a few anxiety ridden moments on the pay station call center trying to figure out how we were going to get out when all we had was a Visa (we discovered there is an ATM

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Das Tyrol. It’s a beautiful, modern boutique hotel with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are bright and airy, thanks to large windows and plenty of natural light. They’re not overly spacious, but thoughtfully designed with everything you need; spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and pillows.||Breakfast was outstanding (a la carte): fresh, high-quality, and absolutely delicious. Also, fair pricing. The hotel itself is small and cozy, which made the experience feel personal and relaxing.||The location is excellent - right on a vibrant shopping street and just a short walk from the city center, museums, shops, and restaurants. There is no parking for hotel so we used a nearby public parking garage (couple of minutes walk).||The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.||Highly recommended – we would absolutely stay here again!

A true boutique hotel. From the warm welcome and service to the stunning rooms and facilites, this is a beautiful hotel. High standard of bedding, furniture, fixtures etc. Can tell it has been designed by a woman as the mirrors etc are in the right place! If you stay, you must have breakfast there, it is excellent and good value. Being able to book the spa for private time is a bonus. We are saving up to go to the LemonGarten sister hotel in Croatia!

Stunning and intimate hotel. Not a detail has not been considered. I had room 109 that has a view of town from two sides. The hotel and rooms are beautifully and tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and nespresso machines. There was plenty of storage, slippers and robes as well as a deep tub and heated floors in the bathroom. The hotel is well placed for Vienna's sites and restaurants. Highly recommend.

I just returned from traveling 2 weeks throughout Europe and I can honestly say this was my favorite hotel! I did a lot of research on all the hotels in Vienna before I decided to book a room at the Hotel Das Tyrol and I am so glad that I did!||I can't even begin to sing the praises of the Front Office/Reception enough but I'll try. The communication before my arrival and during my stay was seamless. Prior to my arrival, I so appreciated that the staff responded to my email inquiries within minutes! They also took great care of me throughout my stay.||Special shout out to Amany, Gholam, Philipp and Lajos. Prior to my arrival, I had found out a hike I had scheduled got cancelled and I emailed Philipp to see if he knew of any Vienna tour guides who might be available on such short notice. Within minutes, he sent me a link, I clicked on it, and was able to schedule the most amazing hike in the Vienna Woods/vineyards with a guide named Marieta who was fabulous!||Amany was also incredibly helpful during my stay and I cannot thank her enough for everything she did. I had no idea about the Red and White tours offered which are great (Make sure you ask her for a brochure). She also gave me fabulous restaurant recommendations and literally followed up with me one evening to make sure I had found the restaurant she had recommended (I managed to get lost a few times in Vienna and I so appreciated that she was looking out for me). She was juggling a lot of balls and did everything with such grace and professionalism.||The Hotel Das Tyrol is STUNNING! I honestly don't think the website does it any justice as in person, it is just the most gorgeous property. I had a beautiful room with a balcony and the size was perfect. The amenities were lovely and I had a good night's sleep three nights in a row even though I faced the busy pedestrian walkway - I did not hear a peep (and I'm a light sleeper).||The a la carte breakfasts were delicious - special thank you to Karolina and Maria for your wonderful service.||I cannot recommend this property enough! Trust me when I say this is the place to stay in Vienna. It is also so conveniently located to the sights, museums, shopping etc.||Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Such a great hotel. Staff were great and the breakfasts amazing (try the Birchermuesli). Location is ideal - walking distance from everything central. Without anyone telling them, the manager realised it was my wife’s birthday and presented her with a card and cake at breakfast. Will definitely return when next in Vienna.

Great experience. The staff went above and beyond to be super helpful and friendly. Hotel was convenient to both metro and tram public transportation as well as the museum quarter. This really made exploring Vienna easy. Loved our stay!

Highly recommend the Hotel Das Tyrol! We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff and service was top class! The room was a good size with a really luxury feel. Started each morning with a delicious breakfast. Great location too.

Yelp
This hotel was simply incredible. Every detail in the room and lobby was immaculate, and the staff was wonderful. We saw the owner every morning in the hotel, checking in and making sure that everything was running smoothly for the guests (even though she manages four different hotels). The room was beautiful with heated floors in the bathroom, beautiful lighting, and unique artwork. We cannot wait to come back here.

Yelp
Like what the description saids, small luxury hotel...The room was small, there are bigger ones but at the time of the booking this was the only room left. Nevertheless the room is cute, luxurious, modern. I thought they have there own garage parking, but it was off-site parking but it is walking distance from the hotel and fee is cheaper than other parking garage near.

Yelp
My travel companion and I were so pleased with our stay at Hotel Das Tyrol. Here are just a few of things we loved: - The gorgeous, unique room. Our room (and especially bathroom) were very reasonably-sized, clean, and quiet. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and we appreciated all the little touches such as chocolates on our pillows and the cozy bathrobe and slippers! - The amazing sauna. Honestly, when I saw pictures of it on TripAdvisor, this was one of the primary reasons I booked the hotel, and it did not disappoint. The sauna was absolutely stunning, and the aquarium was the coolest. I also appreciated that it was available for private use. When my friend and I reserved it, we didn't know how booked up it would be, but there were quite a few times available. - The staff. Throughout our time there, we experienced nothing but excellent, professional service, from a map and helpful recommendations at check-in to Mozartkuglen at check-out! I used the laundry service arranged through the hotel and they couldn't have made it any simpler: I dropped off my clothes in the morning and they were already waiting for me in my room upon my return after dinner. - The location, which was perfect. It extremely walkable (within 5-20 minutes) of many art museums, cathedrals, the Hofburg, Kärntner Straße, etc. As a matter of fact, with the exception of our trip out to the Schönbrunn Palace, we didn't end up needing to utilize public transit at all in Vienna. I would gladly stay here again, and if you're looking for a hotel in Vienna, I'd certainly recommend Hotel Das Tyrol!

Yelp
solid five stars, especially for the location, value, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. rooms were cozy, but clean with high ceilings, coffee and sweets on our pillows every afternoon. reasonably priced. there's a small private spa in the basement you can book for privacy, steam, sauna and showers we didn't eat in the restaurant but peeked in at breakfast and it looked good in a great location on the Mariahilferstrasse which is one of the nice shopping streets and pedestrian malls. just far enough from the city center to have better rates than the better known hotels, but just a short 10 - 15 walk to all the key city attractions (Vienna Opera House, Imperial Palace, Museum Quarter, Naschtmarket, etc.) the staff really made this place a great experience. super friendly, helpful with directions and public transit, calling cabs. plus they made two excellent dinner recommendations for us (reviewed separately)

Yelp
The Hotel "Das Tyrol" is a hidden gem with a great location in the heart of the Mariahilferstrasse, Vienna's largest shopping street, and at a walking distance from the museum quarter. I booked 5 rooms last March as my company was attending the European Conference of Radiology and I was pleasantly surprised from the very first moment. This hotel has a superior customer service: Betina Fruhstuck, Christopher Diensthuber and the other 2 employees whose names unfortunately I did not write down have been attentive to all our needs, giving us great advise, booking restaurants and taxis and making us feel very welcome guests at all times. The rooms are small but very clean and nicely decorated. The Nespresso coffeemaker in the rooms is a nice touch and the bathrooms are all new and functional. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the personnel is very attentive. I will definitely use this hotel again for my future stays in Vienna and recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit this great city.

Yelp
This hotel was superb. The staff was extremely helpful with restaurants, concerts, and flights. The rooms had were beautifully appointed and had everything a traveller needs. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very attentive. Location was great; close to museums, the Imperial palace and the main historical sites. Loved the birthday bottle of wine! Would recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
Great Location in the MQ, convenient access to the underground stop and a lot of the tourist destinations. Parking can be a bit pricey but its to be expected in any major city in Europe. The breakfast provided was great and the lady who helped us during our stay was great. Pay a little more for this hotel if you must, its money well spent.

Yelp
Stayed there in early September 2014. Great staff, wonderful room, comfortable, great breakfast, the hotel is very nicely done with modern art. Its a little walk from the center of town, but the neighborhood around it is filled with good - great restaurants and shops. Close enough to the metro to let you go anywhere.
