Sonoma and Napa Private Wine Tasting Experiences

"Set on a stunning property outside Occidental between Sebastopol and Bodega Bay, Senses produces world-class Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays under Thomas Rivers Brown and offers elegant small-group visits that highlight his decadent style; partners Chris Strieter, Max Thieriot, and Myles Lawrence-Briggs have built the estate from the ground up, and I left expecting great things from this project." - Jonathan Cristaldi

Oh, what a fantastic and special wine tasting we had at Small Vines. The owners are delightful and the wine is the best that we tried in the region. We enjoyed the one on one tasting with the owner and the history she shared getting to where they are now. This wine is organic with no yeast or sulphites added like other wineries. It is wine made with love. Can’t wait for our cases to arrive! Thank you for making our anniversary extra special .

What a GREAT experience. Paul and Kathrine were wonderful to learn from. All and all… once you visit you will find out what true “Organic Wineries” are all about. From their soil studies to how they manage pests, and water conservation is so important. Thank you again Paul and Kathleen, you guys were such a wonderful experience to get to know.

Warm hospitality and even better wine. Really great find and highly recommend a visit. Joined the club because we were that impressed. Enjoyed their philosophy and approach to not only wine making but also their story.

We feel so fortunate to have celebrated Earth Day visiting with Paul at Small Vines. Paul is a captivating farmer-winemaker, who proved his philosophy -- that small, densely planted grapevines would produce higher quality wine -- to be correct. His chardonnays are so expressive and once we got to the pinots.... well, we were mesmerized. The Baranoff pinot was a magnificent highlight of our tasting. The prices are reasonable for these authentic, organic, and extremely well made wines that are each true to their terroir.

Pure, delightful and transcendental wine tasting experience. The best kept secret in wine country (if you can call it a secret -- French Laundry and lazy bear all buy here!) The owners are absolutely lovely and such gracious hosts. This is a small family owned organic operation that believes in the philosophy of doing the hard work out on the vineyard and letting the fruits shine naturally in the bottle rather than dousing it during the aging and winemaking process. Just like in photography. It's quite poetic. The tour itself is lovely - gorrrrrgeous private tasting room with the most incredible views, you get to go walk amongst the small vines, and learn the organic wine making process they use Simplicity, purity, and delight. And the wine is freakin delicious. Thank you for a beautiful afternoon and we will be back!
