Highlights

Nestled in a tranquil neighborhood, this low-key hostel features basic dorms and private rooms, an outdoor pool, and organized tours but could use a bit of TLC.

I have to say, I was highly disappointed about the service offered for the price charged. First off- the online booking doesn't show all the different options they have of rooms available. But even if they did, for the lowest priced rooms, i understand a lack of basic things such as a dust bin if the room costs $10 but for a $35 price - I don't think offering a dust bin, a towel or even a bottle of water would cost you too much. To top it off, there was no key to lock the door which was almost broken so I literally spent the night watching that door feeling quite unsafe. The unconcerned attitude of the receptionist during check-in ( who lied to me and said I will look for your room key and come give it to you and it never happened) - I would vehemently not recommend. I suggest management take a look into fixing basic services such as these, so not worth it.

Do better with customer service!!! ||I was meant to arrive at 22:00 , the fact that I arrived at 02:00 is very leading...I am VERY tired and for me to have to throw a tantrum just to get my room sprayed is ridiculous. I eventually get room spray and you still put up a fight like I'm asking for a lot? Get outta here

Literally the worst hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The place is run down, everything is old, the beds in the dorm nearly fall apart, kitchen is filthy,… It could’ve been a nice place with some maintenance. Cherry on top was the staff sending me to Mbare Bus Terminal to catch a bus but my taxi driver refused to drop me there because it’s „the toughest place in Zimbabwe“ and super unsafe for solo female foreigners. Thanks for nothing I guess.

Their prices are affordable for students as rooms start from $20 but they are not as clean they used to be. Zimbabwe is going down so standards have gone down, blankets are dirty and smell like pee; staff especially the front desk is rude and unhelpful, especially the ladies. The cleaning ladies are rude as well, if you ask them to clean, they think its beneath them. Bathrooms are dirty dirty, best to check on an airbnb for a better option.

Bad experience: the mattresses are damp, the toilets are dirty, there is no hot water and the staff is extremely unprofessional. Avoid

Total tranquillity. The place is cited in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are spacious and clean. I didn't like the wooden floor that squeaks everytime one walks on it. The showers had no curtains to block th water from splashing to the toilet when bathing. We had to mop the floor after bathing to avoid falling from the slippery floor caused by the water from the shower when bathing. The shower itself was faulty, the mixer was not working well. I couldn't balance hot and cold water easily. My room was the last one on the left side of the corridor after Mbabane.

You want a peaceful place to sleep for the night or crib whilst you wake up every morning to attend your meetings, say you are from out of the country? The rooms are awesome. Their linen is Good.Wifi is fast and it can allow you to make video calls and do all emails ,....its all top notch. l highly recommend....

Terrible parking area at this lodge. They accommodate more people without regard of the parking space. Was called at 21:00hrs to move my vehicle, again, the parking is sloppy and cars easily slip forward when you drive in (can easily cause wreckages and minor accidents in the yard). The room near the reception is susceptible to noise coming from people who sit around the reception chitchatting (in my case conversations went on till close to 10pm). Bathrooms did not have soaps, shower gels and mats. I was mostly disappointed by not having mats as this caused water splashes into the toilet area, considering that there was no readily available mop. Overall, it might be a great place but quite a number of issues need to be addressed, starting off with the parking.
