Smaragdi Hotel

We loved our stay at the Smaragdi. Beautiful room. Great location in pretty Artemonas. Lots of good restaurants nearby plus you're next to where buses stop for easy access to the rest of the island. A great cafe/restaurant on site where you're happy to hang out at any time of day or evening. The warmest and friendliest host, Antonis, for whom nothing was too much trouble, always full of tips and advice about places to go and things to do. And a bonus for cat-lovers, there are always cats roaming around, including a gorgeous litter of kittens when we stayed. I would happily return.

Adonis is a great host! Loved his tips about the island! Very nice person! Also the hotel serves a great selection of breakfast included, we were always feeling full the whole day! Their price range rooms are clean with a neat, simple design. The location is really good, you can enjoy different parts of the island quite easily. There is a free parking spot next to the hotel

We had a fantastic stay. The host was very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location is peaceful and ideal for rest. Everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh, high-quality options and a personal touch. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

My family and I have been coming since 2020. When coming to Smaragdi you only need to know one word, Antonis, the charming, energetic owner. He will make you forget your stress and adapt into the life of Sifnos. He will show you anamazing time. The breakfast is more like a dinner, amazing flavours and generous portions. The dinner menu is also a culinary experience to tantalize your taste buds.The staff is first class and very attentive to all your needs. Once you meet Antonis you will understand everything about Sifnos, the people and the island.The entire experience is one you will never forget. 5* all around. Not only is Sifnos a must, but Smaragdi as well.

Very disappointing stay – not worth the price||I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Smaragdi Hotel in Sifnos was deeply disappointing.||Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the lack of cleanliness. Shockingly, there was mud on the bed matress and sheets when I first checked in. The air conditioning unit was also dirty and appeared poorly maintained, which made the room uncomfortable. For the price paid, I expected at the very least a clean and functional room — this was not the case.||While the location of the hotel is convenient, the poor hygiene standards overshadowed any positives. I raised these issues during my stay, but the response felt dismissive rather than helpful.||Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Smaragdi Hotel. There are many other wonderful places to stay in Sifnos, and I regret not choosing differently.

Attractive rooms with own outside seating area. The Hotel is well located to access many of the fine walks on Sinfos. Breakfasts were excellent with the friendly owner arranging to transfer by taxi some clothes left in a draw. Great service.

A true haven in one of the most beautiful villages on Sifnos. We had the most wonderful experience at Smaragdi Hotel in Artemonas – a hidden gem in the heart of the village. The hotel is perfectly located on the main square, surrounded by charming alleyways, fragrant gardens and cozy tavernas. The owner, Antonis, is absolutely exceptional – warm, calm and genuinely kind. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome and cared for. He is always present, helpful and truly interested in making your stay enjoyable. The rooms are newly renovated, stylish and comfortable, while still honoring the traditional architecture of Sifnos. Every detail is thoughtfully chosen – from the rain shower and comfy bed to the practical touches like a minibar, kettle and efficient air conditioning. Many rooms have balconies with beautiful views over Artemonas and the surrounding hills. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, both at the hotel and in the village itself. It’s the perfect base to return to after a day of hiking or swimming. Breakfast is served at the hotel’s café and is truly delicious – simple but well-prepared, with fresh bread, eggs, fruit, Greek yogurt and good coffee. The service is just as attentive and friendly as the rest of the experience. All in all, Smaragdi Hotel in Artemonas is a perfect choice for anyone looking for beauty, tranquility and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back.

We were recent guests at this wonderful boutique. We used the hotel as our base for hiking the many trails of Sifnos. Very classy set up, ultra convenient for bus travel to all parts of the island. Super friendly team. Best breakfasts on the island by far
