Staff are very friendly and can speak English , the room is clean. No elevator, though.

We took three rooms as were with colleagues on a business trip. The hotel is in a very good location, comfortable rooms with all amenities. I forgot to bring me tooth brush and paste (the receptionist pavel said there wasn’t any available).

This is a really nice hotel. Located in the pedestrian zone, it's nice and quiet but close to a number of great places to eat. The rooms are really clean and modern. Breakfast is included and it was a tasty start to the day. We would definitely recommend the hotel and we would book again on future visits

The Smart Boutique Hotel (Smart is CMAPT in Russian, which is written above the entrance) is situated in a very pretty quiet, tree lined, car free street. It is conveniently close to all the historic buildings. The interior is contemporary and comfortable as are the rooms, which are well appointed. Reception is on the first floor, up the first flight of steps once you enter the door. There is also a nice bar with a restaurant which serves breakfast (very generous helpings of good food and a nice variety of food) and also nice dinners. The bar costs are not too expensive by European standards. There is car parking in the street behind the hotel. There is no lift, so this is a hotel for people who are fully mobile and able to carry their baggage up stairs. The staff are very polite and friendly and speak English. Tip: If you are an English speaker remember to speak clearly and slowly, it always helps the staff. This is also the same for any staff at tourist attractions as well. Vitebsk is a fabulous city but it is very new to tourism so you need to do your bit to communicate clearly.

Very nice boutique hotel, with spacious rooms big breakfast and amazing complimentary breakfast in addition to yours - waffles and fruits. The rooms have all required amenities and hotel's location is very good.

I am writing from this hotel that has nothing smart as it claims. Breakfast is included in price and their cook is supposed to have gotten sick, which is something that could happen anywhere, but amazingly ridiculous is the compensation offers they gave. Two extra hours in the room or a discount for the next time we would stay here. As extra time or discounts are not edible the offer was declined and we asked them to provide breakfast in another place. 5 min later the self declared administrator (since 2 days according to herself) came back indicating where to eat breakfast paid by ourselves! I said ok, so just get money from the counter and give to us to pay for it and the answer is that it's not their fault that the cook got sick and not their problem to provide the breakfast we had paid for. Very bad and stupid service.

Our room was n° 34 at second floor. To reach that floor you must do 51 stairs ! No lift. Nobody wrote it ! I booked for 5 days and the manager Anastasia gave us the smallest of four rooms, same category, at 2nd floor. Unbelievable. You must know that the other 3 room ( 31,32,33 ) had been mostly empty for the 5 days of our staying ! ||Unbelievable !!! ||More: At that floor the windows are located in the roof, with not enough coverage the light of the sun, so at 4 am you cannot sleep anymore. ||Breakfast no buffet. You must chooise between three options the day before. ||After my complaints, the manager Anastasia, make me 10% discount !!! But she showed me that it's not her job. The property must change the manager at reception !!!||The hotel, normaly, has been haunted by locals.||Choose an'other hotel !!!||Ivanromeo.

This hotel is small but newly renovated. Very friendly staff, nice hotel manager. Clean rooms and breakfast included for a decent price. I would like to keep this as a secret to myself, but still share with people which do like to stay in a cozy, very friendly hotel.
