Smiling Albino

Our family traveled through Thailand over two weeks last month. We were extremely satisfied with the attention to detail and careful planning by Smiling Albino. We felt well taken care of the entire time. The flights were seamless due to the representatives who were there waiting for us at each stop. Our guides were so educated and knowledgeable- they were always prompt and our cars were always filled with yummy snacks and water . We loved all our stays from Bangkok to Chiang Mai to Khao Sok to Krabi. Notably, we loved our guide Nick in Bangkok. He set the bar extremely high at the beginning of our travels and made each site we saw come to life with facts and stories. I would use Smiling Albino again in a heartbeat, and have already recommended the company to multiple people. Finally, our rep Kae was great to plan with and extremely flexible when I had specific ideas of my own.

The guide was okay and spoke English well but it was super expensive $553 for two people for a tour from 9am-1:25pm. They did not tell us in advance not to wear shorts so my husband had to go up and change which took a while because we had just arrived and had not unpacked. So we didn’t leave until around 9:30am as we also had to wait for a taxi which was our first mode of transport. We did the tuk-tuk and walked and the long tail boat but not the sky train. The lunch restaurant was dirty to me so I just ordered an appetizer and only had a little bite of it. Again, for that price I thought we would be going to a really nice restaurant. For the price of this excursion we were expecting so much more. We should have hired a nice comfortable air conditioned car with a guide instead. It’s uncomfortably hot in Bangkok in February especially if you have to wear long pants.

My wife and I used Smiling Albino for our Thailand/Vietnam honeymoon. Raphael was extremely attentive to our needs and created the trip of a lifetime. Our guides (Poy - Thailand & Trang -Vietnam) were amazing and the information and history they were able to share brought our trip to the next level. Everything was easy from planning to execution. There was not a single hiccup the entire trip. We are grateful for Smiling Albino for giving us an amazing honeymoon.

To be accurate, I've heard really good things about the company but personally don't know much about it. But I do know a lot about one of the company's tour guides named Eak (not sure of his last name), and I know even more about one tour I took with him this month through northern Thailand. If you're dithering and wondering whether it's worth hiring a guide, take my advice and hire him. He's a great guy, great English, seems he knows every person and every place in northern Thailand, and he's reasonably priced. I do a lot of travelling, but rarely, rarely, rarely hire guides. Decided to take the plunge on this trip because of recommendations from a friend's friends who use the Smiling Albino company for motorcycle tours. Am very glad I did. Turned what would have been an interesting but tough few days touring around on my own, into an easygoing highlight of my 3 month stay in Thailand.

My wife and I used Smiling Albino for our two-week honeymoon in Thailand and it was the best possible decision we could have made. Throughout the whole process the team helped guide us and ensured we had all of our questions answered as we traveled in the “new normal”. They checked off everything on our bucket list and provided us with the perfect itinerary to make us feel like with got the most out of every experience. Our hosts we met throughout our journey - Dee, Dao, and Sam - we’re absolutely wonderful, engaging, welcoming and friendly. The three of them went above and beyond to make sure our trip was truly unforgettable and we cannot thank them enough! We would 100% recommend Smiling Albino!!

We are two couples and initially planned to take a river cruise through Vietnam and Cambodia. We were referred to Smiling Albino to look a private tour as an option by our Daughter and Son-in-law. We communicated our wishes to Smiling Albino and within days they delivered a draft of an outstanding 3+ week trip through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. After some minor adjustments we concluded a great itinerary. We just returned today - November 4, 2017. The trip exceeded our expectations in every way. The guides at each destination were very experienced, knowledgable - just excellent. They anticipated every detail and made adjustments as our trip went on - all aimed at improving our experience. We received excellent value and we are certain that we gained access to many venues that other agencies would not have access to. We can't think of one thing that Smiling Albino could have done to make our experience better. Fantastic experience.

Travelled with them 15 times and each trip is exceptional. Over the years we have invited new people to join our trips - and all of them are repeat travellers. Highly recommended for any trip to SE Asia.
