From picking up her body in Nashville, TN, to lowering her coffin in Memphis, TN, they handled every detail seamlessly across the state and were always just one phone call away. They gently guided me through each step, including obtaining the death certificate, and struck the perfect balance between professionalism and heartfelt compassion. Because of them, I was able to focus on grieving and supporting my family, knowing my mother was being honored with the utmost care. I am deeply grateful to the Smith Funeral Directors team and recommend them without hesitation.

Today was my granny's day to be put to her final rest and after the funeral, this was a terrible day and experience. I do not understand how the burial site got messed up but that was truly traumatic. The wait we had to endure waiting to be escorted to the correct location was long. Then the escort drove recklessly as if we did something. I would suggest you make sure your people are taken to correct location and correct plot, bc i forgot to mention she was almost lowered in someone else's plot. Disappointed is an understatement.

Smith Funeral Directors were wonderful to work with both before and after the passing of my father. Their pre-planning arrangements were easy to navigate, and they answered all of our questions. The handling of funeral arrangements was seamless including preparation of the body, viewing, and service in their chapel. Mr. Melvin and Mr. Jai were very nice, responsive, and showed grace. I highly recommend their services.

This was a horrible and traumatic experience. Make sure your love ones are going to the right cemetery because they took mine to the wrong one and was about to lay her in the ground at the wrong marking. They got her name wrong while talking and they have done a rush job . This is the worst encounter I have experienced with a funeral home and will not be going back again!

My family and I recently laid to rest two family members in the span of five months. In those five months, the Director of the establishment Mr. Melvin Smith Sr and Jay have answered every call and email with grace. Their communication is consistent, thorough and honest. Their concern is taking care of your needs while keeping you and your family at peace during a difficult time in your life. Both of my loved ones endured long illnesses that took a toll on their precious bodies and when my family and I viewed their bodies they looked as if they were resting peacefully. My grandmother looked so beautiful and my uncle looked like his true self. My family could not stop talking about how well their bodies looked. Furthermore, they will serve you and your family until both parties are at a resolve with the services selected. Not to mention they are early when picking families up for their scheduled service and transporting the deceased to the arranged services and their final resting places. A few months ago they made the worst experience of my life a little lighter to carry. Jai was so professional yet compassionate and always ready to help. I lost my son and life was beating me up but he constantly asked what he could do to help. My son’s step dad wouldn’t send a message for an obituary page and I just couldn’t handle anymore and Jai made sure the page turned out beautiful. They kept their word and made sure my son’s home-going was dignified and special. It was still a terrible situation but they made sure I knew I wasn’t in it alone and they would do anything they could to help. I appreciate you guys si much and I highly recommend.
