Smiths Beach Resort

Great location for the beach and surfing. Lovely accomodation. Roos didn't get serviced tho and we were furthest from pool. Air con good. Beds good. Facilities excellent in rooms. Pillows coulda done with spare and plumper. Also the spare room was locked so made it feel weird and bit more cramped in the accomodation. Less storage. Cafe food good on site. Have to drive anywhere tho to do things. Friendly and informative staff. All round good.

Perfectly self-contained apartments, very close to the ocean with a beautiful pool. Everything was extremely clean and such very helpful staff! To top it off, a delicious restaurant on premise. We will be back!!! Thank you for the hospitality for us and our young toddler!

This isn't a 5 star resort, and only just 4 stars. I am rating on the basis they advertise it as 5 star. The beach shack accomodation is like caravan park units. No cupboard, drawers or safe. Small bedrooms and beds. Cheap fit out. None of the rooms are serviced at all (unless staying more than 7 days). Reception is 9-5.30. The hotel doesnt manage the restaurant which is only open breakfast and dinner. No lunch service. No drinks or anything by pool. Other than check you in, the hotel doesnt really provide any service at all. The location for the beach is good and the pool area is nice, but it is a long long way from true 5 star accomodation and service.

We recently stayed at this property over the weekend and were thoroughly impressed. The location is excellent — conveniently within walking distance to the beach. The apartment setup and facilities are of a high standard, offering both comfort and functionality. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout.A particular highlight was the heated pool, which provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Overall, a wonderful stay that exceeded expectations. Highly recommended for those seeking a well-appointed and conveniently located getaway.

We had a beach shack for a family of 4. We could easily have stayed a week to 10 days. It was modern, very comfortable and well-equipped. It is so perfect for a holiday. A great combo of eating in and eating out. The location on Smiths Beach is hard to beat. The beach is absolutely spectacular. The pool is lovely and so is the restaurant. |This was a great spot to explore WA. Close proximity to Dunsborough, caves, other beaches and wine farms. |It would be an absolute privilege to return!

We absolutely loved Smith’s beach resort. We received a complimentary upgrade to a 2 bedroom beach house which was a lovely surprise! The view of the ocean was stunning. The accommodation was super clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. We used the pool daily which was great for us and our kids as they had a toddler pool also. The beach was just a short 5 minute walk and the water was so clear and beautiful. The staff were lovely and super friendly and helpful and Lamont’s restaurant was on site making it super convenient for either dining in or taking away to our room :) We will definitely be back!

Our best holiday stay ever. Beats everywhere. Nothing like it. You should grab the opportunity to experience it if you can. 17 years ago, on our honeymoon, we were the first ever guests. It blew us away. Coming back with teenage children at Christmas, to help us deal with a recent bereavement, there was always a risk that the place wasn’t quite as we remembered. But, it was even better. The apartments haven’t aged and the years have seen the grounds mature, creating a beautiful, low key, luxurious and unique resort. It feels like the place is all yours. And you can walk to go surfing on one of the most stunning beaches in the World. We traveled half way around the globe to relive a memory. We have created a fresh set of new ones. Magical.

It’s promoted on their web site as a luxury resort, not sure I agree with them. It’s a nice place in a very good location, Smiths beach is a beautiful beach, safe and fun, offering plenty. The resort had a communal caravan park vibe to it. Its apartments were dated and bland, didn’t feel welcoming. Having the kitchen was nice though as it gave us a break from cafes and restaurants. The pool area was great, large spacious area and well presented and maintained. Maybe a few more shaded areas but beautiful pool. The cafe is a bottle shop that serves coffee. Minimal take away menu and very limited in groceries, but plenty of wine. Didn’t use the restaurant but it looked more cafe than restaurant although the food is highly rated under a great chef so we missed a good opportunity. We stayed 5 nights, probably 2 nights too long but we did relax and got the opportunity to explore the beautiful Margaret river region.

Absolutely relaxing stay with so many perks!. Qantas had a winter special offer here: 2 nights at 250 each night, free breakfast and credit at Lamont's, wine tour , wine and free coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Lamont's with excellent service. Close to the beach as well. It was a good place to do a section of the Cape to Cape. Will plan on coming back for a longer stay! Check it out before it's ruined by an American property developer.

Stayed at Smiths Beach resort for 3 nights, although not cheap ($300 per night on peak season) can be good value if you come with more people. The self contained beach shack sleeps 6 people, has washing machine, BBQ, dish washer, air con and DVD player. The customer service is outstanding, staff very attentive and helpful. There is a cafe and a restaurant in the resort. This is an amazing spot, the reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there are no ocean views (for the beach shacks) and feels a bit crammed together.
