Great place to snorkel for free. Other reviews talk about how good this place is but let me talk about who this place is not for. If you are not good with swimming in the ocean get a life jacket. There is no one to save you if something goes wrong. There are no people around. It’s pretty secluded. So this is not a place for amateurs. I am an amateur and that’s how i realized. If you have sensitive feet it will be hard to get into the water cause the coral when you enter the reef is sharp so get water shoes or fins. There is NO SHADE anywhere on the beach.

Best snorkeling spot we have been since Aruba. We got to swim with turtles all 3 days we went there and we were the only ones at the beach for the exception of one afternoon. It was kind scary not gonna lie, as we know we could also encounter a shark. But I am obsessed with swimming with turtles since I did for the first time over 10 years ago when I was living in Brazil, and as usual it was magic and got to add another place to the list.

Nice place to snorkel. I got to swim with a small sea turtle. I didn't go out too far because I wasn't well prepared. Be sure to bring fins, goggles, and a snorkel. A life jacket is also helpful.

Amazing snorkeling spot right off the beach. We also did a catamaran out to the barrier reef and snorkeled there, but this was so much better and free! All I wanted to do was see a sea turtle, and we saw 2 here and none when we went out to the barrier reef. Along with snorkeling gear, I would bring fins and some kind of flotation device as it can get tiring being out there. I think the best area to snorkel is around the circle of orange buoys. We will definitely go back!

Just back from Turks and Caicos. Highly recommend going to Smiths reef. We stayed at Port of Call a 10 min cab ride to Smiths Reef. CJ our driver took us there and brought us back a 12 dollar ride per person each way from our hotel. We stayed about five hours. The coral was beautiful and the fish plentiful. Swam with sea turtles. Saw many barracudas and loads of bright playful fish I recommend starting to the left of the reef and making your way to the red water markers to the right The current makes it easy About three reefs in total. We thought about doing a snorkelling tour but decided to go here first Never did the tour So glad we came here. Others out snorkeling but not over crowded

Best snorkeling on the island from the shore. Turtles, barracuda, blow fish, and other fun sea life. Pro tip. Enter the water near the pile of rocks to the far left on the beach. Easiest entry. Drift with the current until you hit the orange buoy further down the beach. Exit the shore there and walk back to where you entered the water and left your stuff. Don’t be the clowns who swim against the current to get back. Bring mask, snorkel, fins, and a water proof camera to take pictures. Have fun. Felt safe the entire time and none of our stuff was messed with while we were in the water for an hour or so.

Best shore snorkel site. Has faded over the years so if you go wear reef safe sunscreen and watch your fins around the coral. Good soft sand entrance about where coriander house is just at the point coming from the harbor.

Absolutely spectacular. Great snorkeling with easy access from the beach. As of May-25, there was plentiful free parking at the end of the road after Bridge Rd. Lots of sea turtles and reef fish within 50 ft of shore. Note, not great for kids as 1) the water access is difficult given sharp rocks cover most of the shoreline here, 2) reef is generally in water deeper than 5 ft / not generally shallow enough to stand. Was not crowded when we visited on a Sunday in May before Memorial Day.
