My experience was not pleasant. When I first stepped in, the view was great and the atmosphere seemed good. After getting seated, it took us at least 20 to 30 minutes to get the staff to take our first order. The food came as pictured. The cost is high but the quantity was small. To make things worse, the food was below average. The pasta tasted very simple and the prawns were cold. The pizza was probably microwaved. For the price range, pizza with such crust and flavour should not have been served. The basil was the star of that dish. Lastly, we ordered the jalapeño poppers. It was filled with ricotta cheese and jalapeño slices and came with 6 pieces for 26 bucks. With a side of salsa that only had tomatoes in it. They also served fries to the table next door. I was in disbelief when I saw the portion size – their table had 3 people. For the night, they probably have to order fries twice to snack on. The cocktails tasted like flavoured mocktails. It’s the best way I can put it. The bespoke cocktails were bad even though we told the staff to concoct a strong drink for us within the price range we chose. The cocktails lacked dimension and it tasted all too basic. The service was extremely lacklustre. The staffs were not attentive except one guy whose name I did not get. The plates took over an hour to be cleared even when I stacked them because we didn’t have space. It was hard to get a staff to take our order. The food took 30 to 45 minutes to arrive to our table each time. I would not recommend this bar to anyone. If you want a view, please look up other bars. It is not worth your money and simply disappointing.

❤️✨I recently visited Smoke & Mirrors with my friends, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! The rooftop view is breathtaking, offering stunning scenery that creates the perfect ambiance for a memorable evening. The food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing! Their cocktails truly stood out – creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A special highlight was when they surprised my birthday girlfriend, Sonia, with a personalized cocktail, which made her day extra special. The staff deserves a special mention for their exceptional service. They were not only attentive and friendly but also went above and beyond to make our visit unforgettable. They even helped us shoot a fabulous reel for our girl gang, adding a personal and fun touch to our night. Overall, the vibe, view, and experience were top-notch. If you’re looking for a place with great drinks, good food, and an incredible atmosphere in Singapore, Smoke & Mirrors is the place to be! Highly recommended!

Fantastic cocktails with a creative twist! Each drink was beautifully crafted and packed with flavor. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the presentation was top-notch. Breathtaking skyline view—absolutely worth the visit. Didn’t get to try the food, but the drinks and ambiance alone make this a must-visit spot!

Way overpriced for a regular cocktail. Asked for a truly unique bespoken cocktail, got a gin based cocktail with strawberry, mango, and lemon. It was nice, but not 32++ SGD nice. Definitely nothing unique about that. The view is the only thing that makes it worth it. Ah yes, the bartender was quite rude, we went to take pictures outside of the bar with the view of CBD and the gallery tower after having spent 65++ on his mediocre drinks, he said to close off that entrance because he was clearly annoyed we walked through even though we were customers by the way. On top of everything, it is impossible to contact the bar outside of its working hours. I felt unwell and wanted to move our booking, but we had to come because our deposit had been paid and their WhatsApp, Instagram, and phone were unresponsive. A couple of staff ladies were nice, attentive, and polite hence 2 stars.

The views were amazing here and I often went there to take photos, but the other day was the first time I had been inside the bar. I was lucky because I was able to book a table, even though it was on the same day. The first drink I ordered didn't quite come out, but the staff member who followed up was a very pleasant and attentive staff and we had a good conversation. I have the impression that the quality of service varies from staff to staff. Beautiful view of Marina Bay Sands in front, the skyscrapers on your right and Suntec and other buildings on your left. Though the prices were a bit high, the food and drinks were very satisfying and I would like to come back again.

Good drinks with a lot of signature cocktails, but it a little darky so sometimes waiters couldn't catch my attention. I tried to waive for them twice to order drinks but no one saw it. everyhing else are great

I loved the atmosphere and service is top notch. The view was obstructed because of NDP rehearsal which we didn’t mind really. Food was yummy yet smaller portions. We had a ‘lion sling’ and a ‘botanic’ from drinks, both were not to our taste. One drink was served on the house for special occasions, in my case it was my birthday. Do mention that when placing reservation. Overall we enjoyed the time there. Will definitely come back.

If you’re looking for an incredible spot for unique cocktails with an unbeatable view of the city skyline, this is your place. The vibe is chic, making it perfect for a classy night out. Their creative drinks are both visually stunning and delicious—definitely a place to impress 🙂

Yelp
You come here for the excellent unobstructed view of MBS, the drinks are an added bonus. It was a bit hard to find Smoke & Mirrors as they are located on top of the National Gallery, so you do have to walk into the National Gallery (ask the guard out front, he will tell you). The Gallery elevator only goes to the floor below the bar, so exit the elevator, walk out toward the terrace area, and then take a set of stairs up to the main entrance. We got a bit lost trying to get here, but since the Gallery was closed, we just looked for where there lights on. Part of the balcony may be closed if there's weather/rain, so they may limit walk ins due to that. We made a reservation the day before and were able to get a spot for two people. The drinks are fairly showy and the waiter gave an extensive description of each drink and and its history. And as such, the drinks are a tad on the pricey side, but you're kind of paying for the view and the ambiance. That said, the drinks were also very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed them. They also serve small bites, though we were only here for the drinks. Other tables ordered food and it looked pretty decent.

Yelp
Got here and the expected wait was 30 minutes, but we were fortunately able to sit down within 10 minutes (group of 6). We sat inside but still have a nice view of the marina bay from the roof top. There are many drink options (a lot of fun and showy concepts). Big fan of the presentation. We got to try a bunch of drinks out of the group. There are also food options, but we didn't partake since we came from dinner. Staff was mostly attentive and they explained the drink's concepts. Apparently they also have visiting bartenders/mixologists that have their specialty menu for the night. Restrooms are part of the National Gallery so you have to venture out a little. Note that this place was kind of hard to find. You have to venture around the gallery before taking the elevators up. Overall, great vibes!

Yelp
Awesome cocktail bar with an outstanding view. Probably one of the best rooftops in the city. Drinks are pricey but the cocktails all come with a story and presentation. Pretty cool place.

Yelp
Probably the best views in town. Sit at the bar to take it all in and talk with the bartender. Drinks are phenomenal and typical pub food---don't go here for a meal, although not bad picking food at all.

Kendrix M.

Yelp
I loved it here. The drinks are expensive but you are paying for the experience and the amazing storytelling that comes behind the specialty drinks. I am from the US and this is top tier for bars and will be returning if I am in Singapore

Yelp
Nice view, good to hang out with friends. Drinks are okay. Will visit again next time.

Yelp
Great place and great views! Got to try Wee's drink which was delicious! We were on our honeymoon when we visited, and were given a complementary glass of champagne which was so nice and unexpected. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
The view is pretty good. I'm not sure the drinks and food are worth the price though.... I've had a lot better for a lot cheaper. Service was also not the best.

Yelp
Gorgeous view of the Singapore skyline. I wasn't in love with their cocktails though. Nothing amazing. Just the usual. But great staff regardless.

Yelp
I have become a frequent visitor now and really like the drinks, food, ambience and views. Every time I go there, I have experienced the service staff to be very friendly and quite attentive. They offer a quite good variety of cocktails, gins and other drinks. The only minus with the gins is that they only offer Schweppes tonic water, which is not what I would expect from a place like this. The food/bar bites taste good and there is something for everyone on the menu. The prices for both the food and the drinks are okay for Singapore, particularly as Smoke & Mirrors certainly is one of the 10 bars/restaurants with the best views of the stunning Singapore skyline. As some others commented already: the "Please wait to be seated" at the entrance is completely obsolete and, unless one wants to 'take roots', I recommend to walk in and speak to the service personnel directly to be seated. This place is very popular on Thursdays, Fridays and weekends, so I strongly recommend to book a table (well in advance).

Yelp
Smoke & Mirrors provided a beautiful ending to a lovely, albeit quick, day touring around Singapore. The entrance was hard to find at first; turns out, you have to go into the National Gallery (which is gorgeous!) and take the elevator to the fifth floor, then head out onto the deck and up a flight of stairs before finally locating Smoke & Mirrors. Totally worth the adventure! Smoke & Mirrors is basically an outdoor bar with insane views of Singapore's skyline, located directly across Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer. We didn't have a reservation, but we lucked out and scored a table anyway (it was a Thursday night and it was close to packed). The cocktails are really inventive, and there's also quite a few low-ABV and alcohol-free cocktails as well. The drinks certainly aren't cheap but, considering the views, they were totally worth the price tag. My husband and I slowly sipped our way through a couple rounds while taking in the sunset. There's a small food menu of snacks and we had the tuna tataki and truffle parmesan fries. Both hit the spot, though I would have liked to see a few more offerings as we would have happily made it a meal. I would tell anyone planning to visit Singapore that they should put Smoke & Mirrors at the top of their list for sunset cocktails.

Yelp
Went here last year! Fancy and interesting cocktails! It's near a museum so you might catch a concert! You can also see marina bay sands from this bar lounge! Actually PRO TIP, you can get a panoramic picture at smoke and mirrors of the nice ass marina bay sands! Great stop! Singapore is humid aF so there's an indoor section... great for people like me!

Yelp
What a disappointment. This place is on the roof of the National Gallery of Singapore. There are reflection pools as well as some greenery but the build up set us up for a huge let down. First, we waiting as instructed by the sign to be seated. No one came so we seated ourselves only to wait more for someone to take our order. It was extremely hot and there was no since of urgency. Even after ordering it took 15 minutes to get drinks and they were not busy. At every stage we had to flag someone down. It was like watching a snail run a marathon. Pure torture! If it weren't for the view this place would be a bust. I'd try it again if I ever went back to the National Gallery but I'd walk in with a healthy amount of skepticism. Not so humbly submitted, Michael C.

Yelp
Service can be a bit rushed but oh my goodness the food, drink, and view is welcoming. I was a walk-in and I got a gorgeous patio view (around 6pm). I ordered the Nakajima's Dansu and it was extraordinarily delightful. It both floral and sweet with a subtle boubon note in the midst of it. The presentation and scent of it fantastic. I also got the popcorn chicken and it was delightfully light tempura battered with a well-balanced spice profile with an unusually pleasant kick of ginger. The view is amazing too. You get an unobstructed view of Marina Bay, The Art and Science Museum, Espanalde, and more. Definitely worth the visit and the experience.

Yelp
We strolled through here on a tour to check out the view, but convinced our tour guide to let us stay for one drink. Mid afternoon so it wasn't busy at all, and we grabbed some comfy seats in the back. Yes, the view truly is spectacular and worth stopping in for. The drinks, wine and beer, didn't give us a good sense of their offerings, but they definitely were pricey. The service was quick and prompt. Would definitely come back to check out real cocktails and food!

Yelp
The view is outstanding, cocktails are hit or miss, and the service ranged from ambivalent to gruff. We had reservations for 7pm on Sunday night, which seemed unnecessary as the place was mostly empty. When we checked in, we were gruffly told "you can sit outside but the chairs are wet"... do they not have towels to dry them? One of the main draws of the bar is the view! We opted for inside, where ironically I was being dripped on by the air conditioner. They are advertising a special anniversary cocktail menu which sounded great, but we didn't get to try any because each time we ordered one, we were told they were out of it. First off, why? And secondly, the staff should really tell you up front so you don't spend a bunch of time selecting a drink that isn't possible. My boy had a drink with tequila and grapefruit that was tasty and refreshing. When my drink choice wasn't available, the waiter started recommending half the menu to me without listening to what I was looking for. I ultimately wound up with some blue drink with an odd melon flavour that wasn't mentioned in the description. I wasn't a fan. At this point we moved outside where the chairs were magically dry and the view was fabulous so I ordered a martini. This was well-made, though I would prefer an olive without a pit. Drinks run SG$22 and up. Jigger & Pony or Employees Only have much better craft cocktails for the same price with very friendly staff, but you cant argue that Smoke & Mirrors has an excellent view.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong: the view here is amazing. You get a beautiful, unobstructed view of Marina Bay Sands, the Padang and Esplanade. I'm afraid to know how much they'll charge for tables during F1. I found the cocktails and food just okay. I tried the Papaya Daiquiri, which is meant to be southeast Asian inspired. Ingredients included white rum, gula melaka, and a few drops of charcoal olive oil, which is supposed to look like papaya seeds. Creative, but I could barely taste the alcohol. A bit of a let down after paying $20! I also tried their truffle fries with homemade dips. I hate to be one of those sticklers, but the menu says "homemade dips", to which I was expecting a variety of dips. How many dips did I get? Just one. I think it was tartar sauce, nothing special. Wonderful ambiance, and a place to be seen. I'll come back if you pay for my drinks! ;)

Yelp
I am giving this a 5 star simply because the view is spectacular! Really... It is beautiful. You have a superb view on the Singapore Flyer, Esplanade and the Marina Bay sands. In the evening there is a light show which adds a nice surprise to the visit. It is located on top of the National Gallery. To get there, go in through he front of the National Gallery, take the elevator to the 5th floor, when you come out, follow the path and take the stairs upstairs to the 6th floor. The view will seriously knock you on your duff. I highly recommend going in the evening for 2 reasons: 1. it's in full sun in the daytime and hot as blazes and 2. the nighttime view is not to be missed. We had a few cocktails. They have an interesting mix of spirits and come up with some unusual combinations: - Kurokava - Very unusual and not at all unpleasant. Not sweet, a bit more on the savory side. It is served with some seaweed on the rim as well as a sweet micro tomato - Rainforest Remedy - Tart and tropical. served with edible flowers (Mexican oregano), giving a slightly herbal feel while at the same time being sweet (though not overwhelmingly so) - Old & New Sling - Their take not he Singapore Sling. Tart and refreshing. The pineapple is there in the bubbles, adding a different dimension and making the drink lighter And of course they have a nice selection of spirits for those that prefer a simpler drink, along with beer and other drinks. I recommend it for the experience alone.

Yelp
The view is truly one of the most iconic experience at Smoke and Mirrors. Where in Singapore can you experience an unobstructed panoramic view of: 1. The new South Beach building and it's district 2. The entire Marina Bay with the Esplanade, Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands 3. The Central Business District All in full view at eye level?! Not only that, you can chill with a glass of wine or a bespoked cocktail and enjoy some light bites. Try their signature chicken wings (actually it's prawn paste chicken) and wagyu beef burger. Other favourites include their pork belly and silver fish. Their churros is not bad but the texture is still not on point for me. The size is also a little too small and the chocolate sauce is rather flat. Service is generally good but sometimes a little inconsistent. I believe that this is great place to chill out but I guess it still needs a little more time to stabilize itself. Other than that, it's my favorite place to hang out at the Gallery. :)

Yelp
Fantastic views, was seated immediately. We were here for cocktail weekend. We have tried the 3 guest cocktails. Two were awesome, one tasted like there was zero Alamogordo

Yelp
Smoke & Mirrors is worth going to for so many reasons. The location on top of the National Gallery is spectacular with panoramic views of the Marina Bay Sands towers, especially when the laser light show happens and the neon lights dominate the sky. Service was a bit hit and miss, even though i was only there for drinks and I didn't opt for food. People if popularity was a contest then, this was definitely a place to be. I have learnt a lot on my travels and sometimes you need to go to a place like Smoke and Mirrors to get the best photos. I will definitely add this place as a "must visit" for anyone going to Singapore.

Yelp
So we were looking for somewhere new in CBD for a drink and just happen on this. We invited a few friends and everyone loved it.. The drink menu had some interesting concoctions and all that we had were good. I tried a normal Manhattan and it was spot on. The service was some of the best we have seen in Singapore. All of this wouldn't make for 5 stars.... But then you get the view. It overlooks the Padang and has amazing views of MBS.... You must check this place out before it becomes the place to be so you can say you were there in the beginning.
google avatar

Bob U.

Yelp
2.5 stars would be better it's not a high rise view, but overlooks the playing fields between the two old clubs. sitting outside is wonderful, as long as you don't mind the heat. drink are definitely overpriced, but if you can get a table outside, the view is worth it. they have some bar snacks too. but for me, it's okay for one drink and that's it.

Yelp
Easily my new favorite rooftop to grab a cocktail with friends or meet for a hot date. I stumbled upon this gem after visiting the National Gallery (which I also recommend if you are living or visiting Singapore). Although price of drinks might be on the steep side, it is worth it for the city skyline view and diverse drink concoctions. We tried the Painting Class, 1957, the Tiger Blood Daisy, the Jungle Bird, and my personal fav: Rainforest Remedy (which comes in a personalized Smoke and Mirrors bottle) Go big or go home eh! Each cocktail was bursting with flavor and visually appealing. You can tell that attention to taste and detail is extremely important to the mixologist. You just can't go wrong with a classy place like this.

Yelp
I had some fairly high expectations after reading a lot of positive experiences form this place. With its nice location on top of the national Gallery there are splendid views of both Marina Bay and the CBD and that is probably the best thing about the place. First of all it is a bit weird trying to enter - one of the elevators does not go all the way up to the restaurant (only goes to fifth floor while the restaurant is on the sixth) so need to be lucky to get the right elevator. We had reservations and were seated promptly, that was the best part of the service experience. First thing I notice is that the music is so loud that one can only hear what the person next to you is saying. That is at around 20.30 and for the time we are there they gradually increase the volume. I can understand that some people like it like that but if i go for some cocktails I do not expect to go to a night club but a bar where it is possible to talk to each other. We managed to get the attention of the waiter after a long wait we got to place an order. We tried some different cocktails and they were pretty decent but not compared to what the best places in Singapore can do and these guys charge the prices that mean that they need to be up there. The Papaya Daiquiri was pretty good and the favorite one was the Rainforest Remedy but it was a bit of show to it being served and that did not really add anything in flavor. As the music just kept getting louder snd we actually wanted to talk we asked for the bill. First once and then no one brought it over, then a second time and then we waited 10 minutes. After that I went to the bar and just told I have now asked twice and waited for a long time and then I gave them 1 minute to bring the bill and I told them that otherwise we are leaving. The bill was then produced fast - I asked them to remove the service charge since they had not provided any service and to my surprise they actually complied. This is something that truly annoys me - how difficult is it to let people pay when they want to leave,p. Tuis was also at a time when they were not very busy, So while, the cocktails were ok and the views nice I would still not return as the whole environment and ambiance was not very nice and the service severely lacking.

Yelp
Had drinks here with friends the other night. From 7 until about 8:30 it was packed but the crowd dissipated gradually after that. I had 2 cocktails -- siamese something (I forgot the name), which had lemongrass, and I liked it. 2nd drink, papaya daiquiri, was just average. My friends had other cocktails, which they seemed to like. We ordered small bites to share: sichuan -style diced chicken with peppers (so good we got 2 orders), truffle fries (good but dip was disappointing), prawn toast (average) and calamari (excellent). Service was prompt and friendly. The prawn toast was late due to some glitch in their ordering system, so they told us it would.be 10 mins late, and later deducted it from our bill. We split the bill and it came out to $70 per head. Expensive, considering that we had only 2 drinks each. The cocktails start at $20. The view is fantastic though and I would bring visitors from overseas here.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Smoke & Mirrors - I think it was the best rooftop bar that I went to in SG. The view is really gorgeous - it's the perfect place to watch the sun go down as the sky changes to a million shades of blue across the skyline. I love the huge throne chairs that they have, which are surprisingly comfortable. The service is decent - they don't check on you super often, but they do enough to refresh your drinks. We tried the Siamese Fireback, the Tiger Blood Daisy, and the Painting Class 1957. The first two were amazing. I don't usually love bitter drinks, but the Siamese Fireback was the perfect amount of bitter, tart, and sweet. It had awesome, unusual flavors. The TIger Blood Daisy was probably the best one. I loved the flaming calamansi on top of it, which, once dropped in the drink, gave it an amazing and smoky flavor. The sour plum/ ginger/ calamansi/ tequila were all combined perfectly. I was very disappointed by the Painting Class. First of all, the decor on it was straight up ugly. Having seen photos of the cocktail, I know that they could make an effort to do actual brushstrokes, but instead it looked like drizzled chocolate messily stuck on the side of the glass. The chocolate scent did add something to the taste of the cocktail, but otherwise it just tasted like straight, regular prosecco. It was nothing special, which is a bummer considering the price.

Russel H.

Yelp
Probably my favorite bar in Singapore. The view of the bar and Marina Bay Sands is magnificent, the atmosphere is so relaxed and the cocktails are tasty. Every time I'm in Singapore, I have to come here at least once - and will keep doing so!

Yelp
Great view that you feel in the city, but not good service. I ordered fries and they never came. But, drinks are good. Tiger blood daisy had a fun flame and my fujian highball mock tail was nice and ginger-y. Come for the view, not anything else.

S G.

Yelp
Loved the views of the surrounds when I visited the Gallery prior and planned to head back another time. So I made reservations for 3 and was hoping for good service. However when we arrived, we had to wait 10 minutes before being attended to. When we requested for a change of chairs, despite the place being half-full, the waiter refused to change them and when we said we were leaving because the seats given to us weren't as comfortable as those that were available despite not being used, another staff spoke to us rudely. Pity because we went to New Asia Bar instead which offered stunning views and excellent service.
