Smoke Bar

7/6/25 - 3 stars A popular rooftop bar in Barangaroo with awesome views during daylight hours, but, it is seriously cold. Natural decor is nice and live DJ is appreciated. I can understand charging a service fee large groups, but, not when extra service is not actually rendered. Initially it was quite good as there were not many other customers, but, it became tricky to get a hold of staff shortly thereafter. Also, we asked about popcorn refills, which the floor manager agreed and I believe added it to our bill. Firstly, she didn't tell us it was not free like the first batch. Secondly, it never even arrived. Very disappointing. Overall, the drinks and food selection is decent. The espresso martini was very good and the main saving grace. Espresso martini Flavour: SS, 9/10. Not sure what the ratios of kahlua and vodka are or if there's even actual coffee in it, but, it's very smooth Consistency: SS, 9/10. Not watery at all.

We came here several times while visiting from Hawaii. The dinks are so good, ambience is first rate and everyone we encountered was lovely! Where do you find these people?!? We really enjoyed the music, which was live and upbeat, without being too loud. We were able to chat without shouting over the music. We had several appetizers and drinks. Perfect for date night or a drink before a cruise out of kings street warf at darling harbor.

Nice place & decore. Bar stools comfy & cushion. Recent menu changes. It’s very good. Beef skewers. I preferred the old Menus. Chicken drum sticks + fish eggs sauce + the maple fries + sauce + wagyu skewers. Chicken Karagee .Very light batter or not fried twice- lacked the zingy ginger to my liking - still good & good serving. Mild chilli paste ***** The beef wagyu skewers were very good. However the were left on the pass or plate not heated & came a bit warm to the table.

Location was on top to provide the nice view, could be improved as it’s a lot of vegetation surrounding the sitting area that is hiding the view. Drinks were okay (a bit sweet) and not a lot of choices. For the service, it wasn’t full at all, even empty at the time we arrived, we had to wait 15 mn before someone notice us to come and asked what we would like to have. However they were friendly and cautious in the end, could just be trained better to have a look in the overall customers who are waiting.

The service is nice and the music isn’t too loud so you can actually have conversations with people that you’re there with. All the staff were friendly which made the experience nice, and the views are decent of the harbour especially at night. It gets quite busy so it’s not an intimate place, although great to catch up with friends.

Cozy Atmosphere and Outstanding Service! Smoke Bar is a gem! Despite the rainy evening, the cozy and comfortable setup, complete with heaters and nice overhanging covers, made our experience delightful. My fiancé and I enjoyed quite a few rounds of drinks while taking in the amazing view. The drinks were fantastic, but the highlight was the outstanding service. Bernie was spot on with his cocktail recommendations and even shared a few other great spots for cocktails. We will definitely be back!

After coming to this bar in the past I thought it would be a nice spot to bring my friends for my birthday. The food was decent and the drinks were great, however there was a very long wait on service as well as food and drinks all night. Our party of 12 had finished their food before any drinks arrived. Finally I had an entire cocktail accidentally spilled on my new jacket by the waitress. While I appreciate that accidents happen, nothing was provided to compensate for this, and we still received a $150 service charge on top of our bill, which seems to be excessive due to the service provided.

First time at Smoke Bar this evening. We were served by Louis who was amazing. Super friendly, helpful and diligent. There were 16 of us so we were quite the handful but he had great rapport with us and nothing was a problem. As we were leaving we found out that it was the first time Louis had served as a waiter - pretty astonishing considering the size of our group. Well done Louis! Also props to the guy with the cool mustache (I'm so sorry I can't recall your name!!) as he was extremely accommodating when we asked if our inside seating could be moved to outside. It was appreciated. The food is really lovely but it would be great to have a few other options to choose from.

Needed a drink so went to the Barangaroo House which is a three-level hive, where each floor is a new adventure in dining and drinking! At the top, we tried Smoke Bar which offers the best of outdoor vibes, killer water views, and unique cocktails. With a DJ spinning beats and a stylish open-air ambiance, it's the ultimate spot for sunset cocktails.

Okay my friend suggested I do this 3 level experience, but I only did 2 out of the 3 and glad I did, because I was left thinking and this is a bar? Didn't get to go to the House Bar since couldn't find reservations and due to the fiasco of trying to coordinate the three level experience - I inadvertently made the reservations on two different dates and didn't realize I did that, since I was wondering why I was going on a Sunday, but I figured due to availability. Ended up experiencing Bea and Smoke Bar on two different days. We previously went to Bea and came to Smoke Bar on a Sunday night. The manager name Tommy advised he is actually from NY and he mentioned one of his bars that I have been to and remembered liking the drinks there, but this place was not the case. They already told us they were closing early and 8:30 will be it, but more people started rolling in and so they said they'll stay open longer but I wanted to leave because there was nothing enticing on the cocktail menu. We got the two drinks below: Up In The Air up, tropical, vibrant, citrus - strawberry infused 42 BELOW VODKA, bombay bramble, mango, aperol, citrus This one, I can't remember why I didn't care for it, but I didn't. Moment of Clarity short, curious, bitter, forest fruit - rhapsody gin, chinola passion fruit, black currant, elderberry, mandarin campari, martini bianco Don't get me wrong, I don't like drinks that tastes like alcohol, but I don't think there was any in this and just wasn't a balanced drink to me. I preferred this one over the Up In The Air, but after tasting it, it didn't make me want to stay for more cocktails. The view is nice, but two disappointing Barangarooo House experience. The only 5 stars is the architecture of this building is really well designed.

Great drinks and great views. Great place to grab a drink and watch the boats. Lots of whiskey on the menu.
