Smoke on the Water BBQ Shack

Amazing place right on the pier. Food was fantastic: delicious deep fried mac&cheese, softest beef brisket and very nice coleslaw with a light dressing. Great balance on spice. Located on a pier, open air with a few on the cute boats in the bay. Would love to come back. Pic of demolished in 5 min food attached.

Some delicious BBQ. Had the brisket platter and some shrimp tacos. Brisket had good moisture with a nice crust, I personally enjoy sauce with my BBQ and it comes with a vinegar based sauce with a hint of spice and tang. The fried mac and cheese cube was great. I personally love shrimp tacos and the batter was super crispy with nice fresh prawns inside. The vue is nice looking out into the water and docs with the occasional harbor seal. There is only outdoor seating and it is very cozy, expect to be shoulder to shoulder with some strangers during peak hours.

Visited the place near closing time ~6pm, ordered beef brisket platter and fresh lemonade. So far the best brisket I had in BC, fried mac and cheese was perfect and the sauce that they give you is bomb. I had to ask the owner about the sauce and bought a bottle. It's seriously delicious. Very filling, generous portion, reasonable price and friendly staffs. What else do you need? Great location, you get some views while eating and people are actually nice here they would say hi and talk to you how it was like before. Anyways, lemonade was also very refreshing. Sour and minimal sugar, which refreshes your mouth after each bite. Would highly recommend and definitely a place I would spread out to other people. Probably will come back for tomorrow lunch.

Everything about here was lovely. Chris and Karen are such a lovely couple. The food was amazing. The beef brisket was amazing, so was the fried mac and cheese. The pastry was beyond good. They just make them on the weekends. Definitely give it a try specifically on sunny days that you can enjoy the view.

Dark bark and very juice brisket. Also tried the Porchetta sandwich special, fantastic! Natural views, the chef and the staff take great pride in their work and it shows, will go back every time I pass by!

The juiciest and most tender briskets I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting. The pulled pork sandwich was absolutely exquisite. The mac and cheese that came with the briskets was also very solid. Overall a fantastic place. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

I had the brisket sandwich with a side of coleslaw to cut the sweetness of the brisket. It is extremely tender and flavourful. The sauce is a tad bit sweeter than I'm use too. If possible, I would recommend you share this sandwich as an open face sandwich so you can try other things as it is a bit on the pricy side and you get only 2.5 slices of brisket in your sandwich. It wasn't as filling as I thought it could have been. It's located beside an awesome view of the pier and boats.

Did a take out of pulled pork and the beef sandwiches. Love the Smokey flavor from the real firewood they use! Amazing way to enjoy a nice lunch in our own patio. Has a cute little patio if you wanna dine and enjoy the marina views too.
