Smokey Buns

Ice cream is ok. Wasn’t my destination, just passing by and wanted to give it a try so went with one scoop mint chocolate chip. One scoop literally, that’s all ya get. Not a generous scoop like I typically receive at other ice cream shops I have visited. Place is cool though. Nice spot for a quiet early fall Sunday evening.

Smokey Buns has a cute elevated casual vibe that makes it equally perfect for a laid-back lunch or a low-key evening out. They have a tasty vegan burger and a nice bar, I love a mix of high low so a cocktail and burger is a fun dining experience.

I’m still thinking about how delicious the Tuesday Jerk Chicken special was. The sandwich was pretty big and the bun was warm and flavorful. The jerk chicken was combined with slaw, avocado and BBQ sauce. Pretty hip vibe and limited seating with about 4 tables for 4 and 2 tables for 2 and some barstool seating as well. You order at the counter and pick it up. You can also order ahead. Cool decor and felt more like a cocktail bar than a burger joint.

Had a fabulous early dinner here before heading to a show at the nearby Guild Theatre. The French onion burger was delicious with a crispy juicy patty and fresh buns. A friend had the lobster roll which was a great portion with lots of big chunks of meat. Don’t miss the cocktails here! They have a full selection of bourbons and other seasonal specials. Counter service so it was super quick. Great option for families or friends grabbing a quick and affordable meal!

Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed by the lack of quality and flavor of the cheese burger and chicken sandwich (not pictured). The fries weren't even salted. There are better burger places in the area.

I brought my dad here for lunch on his birthday & we had an excellent experience! The staff are friendly, the space is gorgeous, and the food is delicious. I had the blackened salmon sandwich, which was absolutely perfect & my dad had a classic cheeseburger, which he loved. Shoutout to Chef Joe & to Helen for their extra kindness and hospitality. Looking forward to my next visit!

Went today at 12:15 for lunch. There were 2 people inside and 2 outside. I wondered why? There's pros and cons here. Pros? The food was very tasty and came out pretty quickly, considering the place was empty. It was quiet of course. We ordered the piggy, a cheeseburger and the chili cheese fries and 2 coke cans. Cons? The waitress didn't smile once. I know, it's Sunday and nobody wants to work. The piggy was pulled pork, with slaw and pickled red onions. 1 slice of pickled onion and 1/2 a teaspoon of slaw. You couldn't taste any of their flavors. You could also see the inside edges of the bun. That means there was not nearly enough pulled pork for a sandwich. Add some sauce to the pork too. It's supposed to drip when you bite it. The wife's burger was very good, yet it looked like a 2 1/2 oz burger patty. The chili cheese fries? Barely a drop of chili and the fries were fried like baked potato sticks. Way overcooked fries. The beer cheese was very good on the fries. All in all, for $60, I expected to be full when I left, but I wasn't. Cooking is my favorite past time and nobody leaves my house hungry. Lunch kind of put a damper on our Sunday ride to be honest. Give people their moneys worth.

If your ever in East Hampton definitely visit this place. The burger was amazing and the fries were cooked to perfection. Very chill vibes with an ice cream spot attached!!!

Loved it! Came here after a beach and shopping day. I have celiac so I was very happy they had a separate fryer for the fries and gluten free buns of course. The fries were genuinely so perfect. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable as well. I wasn't too sure about some of the sauces included on my burger and the staff went through a binder that must contain recipes or notes on allergens or something and triple checked everything for me. Only thing we took off was crispy onions bc those must be made in a shared fryer. Didn't make a difference to me personally! I'm guessing the one for fries is the only separate fryer. Such a great quick grab! So happy we came here

Seems like it's back to its original good quality. Bumps in the road happen. Would recommend.

Really disappointed in a variety of ways with this place. I came in this past Thursday and asked if I could get some food to go - the owner told me they are having a private party/event and to come back another day. If that is the case you should put a notice on the door. So I followed up tonight to try here - I call in a # 4 for pickup as I am driving over which on the google menu says a Double cheeseburger ... the guy asks me if I want to add another patty and I am like what, its a double cheeseburger , he says its a 'Wiborg' I am like okay I just want a double cheeseburger ... he says okay would you like fries, I'm like sure. I get there sure enough its something other than what I ordered. They have 2 different menus on google, with the old one being highlighted first ... not prepared for the summer season and ya so I pay extra for this burger that supposedly has roasted peppers and baconnaise - it didn't , just had the pepper jack. The burger was really over cooked well done , not medium or medium rare like a normal 'smash' burger is. Total let down there, there fries are basically McDonalds fries - nothing special typical fast food junk. Between the bad service, lack of commuincations, the menu being off on the web/google and the food being a let down I am over it. Cool decor inside, sure. I can't speak on their ice cream services in the other room, probably on point - but there are so many ice cream places in town already so I could really care less.

Pretty good smash burger and fries at a decent price in EH. Great lil speakeasy vibe at the bar area. I ordered takeout and man was I shocked the fries were still hot and crispy when I got home! Beef was tasty and well seasoned. Looking forward to trying their daily specials

Under no circumstance should you EVER go here. I ordered a lobster roll. One piece of lobster arrived in the roll the last time none arrived. Reprehensible.

This little gem is much needed here in E. Hampton. This casual burger spot offers more than burgers. The staff are friendly and welcoming ambiance. We had fish sandwich. The buns are crunchy outside & tasty and the salmon was cooked perfectly! We also tried Saturday special "Philly Cheesesteak sandwich". I don't know which I liked it better. Loved them both! We also tried Parmesan chicken wings which I also recommend for someone who likes to try something new!

A brief review for a brief but delicious meal. I don't eat meat and this burger place has lots of non-meat options on the menu. I went with the blackened salmon. Absolutely delicious. The fries were excellent, thin, fresh, hot, and crispy. The service was super friendly and the vibe was warm and charming. The restaurant scene in the Hamptons has just gotten too expensive (and too much of an event) over the last few years. So happy that a new rationally priced place for a quick, delicious bite has arrived. I'll be back for the halloumi.

I got my food as delivery so the temperature was a little off, but I'm not sure if that affects the flavor as much. The mushroom burger unfortunately was incredibly bland. I really enjoy when a restaurant has meatless burgers, but sometimes I wonder if the chefs would even eat it themselves. The toppings were pretty good and the beer cheese fries were delicious, albeit a bit too salty (and I usually oversalt my food). The mushroom burger could really shine with a marinade, glaze or even just some basic seasonings. Right now it kind of feels like an afterthought,. Would love to give this place another shot in the future, most likely in person, and update my review then.

Food was amazing! Drinks too! I love that there's everything in one spot for everyone! Drinks for the adults, burgers and ice cream for the kids! (Forgot to take a nice photo!)

Happy to have this reasonable, casual, and year round burger place open! We had ice cream here first and I was shocked that you could get a scoop of ice cream for $3! They offer about 12 flavors, which change, and soft serve. I very much enjoyed the moose tracks. The sugar cone seemed a bit stale though, possibly from being stored in the humidity. Eventually we went back for dinner to try the burgers. They didn't have their full menu available yet though (no daily favorites or cheese fries). Everything would come a few days later. You order inside at the counter, seat yourself and get buzzed when your order is ready. I had the #4 cheese double. I couldn't really taste the tomato jam or crispy onions, they were small, but overall a solid burger. We built burgers for my nephews and I'd consider doing that on my next video. Even the singles we ordered looked like a decent size for a smash burger. My mom was the only one who didn't have a burger. She ordered the mushroom smash and thought it was dry; too much bread not enough burger. The zero proof drinks we ordered were good, Ginger spice and Blueberry Delight. Less ice would've made them better because they eventually tasted very watered down. The staff was very nice. They had two people behind the bar, taking orders and making drinks, and another employee who assisted with clearing tables. She also helped us with bringing our order out since we got so much.

Great new local place that actually has reasonable prices! Burgers aren't big and sides are extra, but very good.

Super cute!!! Food was delicious - we got the mushroom burger for my vegetarian friend, I got the double smash , kids got regular burgers and fries. Perfect size - not too big! Left feeling perfectly fed! We finished with the super yummy Icecream at their scoop and waffle spot. Sat outside, service was lovely and attentive. Also had the watermelon margarita which was soo good!

Fun new addition to East Hampton village. I like a burger that Starts at $9.00 Looking forward to the waffles too.

I had the best experience at Smokey buns this past week. I ordered their special waffle sundae and was expressed by the service as well as the fast timing! THE SUNDAE WAS AMAZING!! I'd say Smokey buns feels very homey and family friendly. Would highly recommend this place for families this upcoming summer!

Good bar with above average food that has a slight twist. However, some items missed the mark for me. The smash burger lacked the signature seared crust, which was disappointing. The chicken sandwich had a mix of flavors that didn't quite work, and the chicken itself was slightly dry. I liked the steamed bun for presentation, but it was cakey and gummy. Chili cheese fries were decent, though the portion was small--good chili and beer cheese were the highlights.

One of the better smash burgers I have ever had. The bartender from Florida was amazing and made our night. We will definitely be back.

Awesome gem!! Different style's but in a good way. Decent portions! Came here from out of town staff was great. Was also immediately greeted by owner! even gave me a new drink to try. Ended up sitting and talking with the owner for over 4 hours. Awesome dude! Truly cares about the community and the food! Will be going back!

where ma burger! what was this little thing . ten dollars i thought was reasonable price. ate that little puck in 2 bites. good patty no tomato or pickle or anything. was not very clear about the ordering. ambiance was ok. i felt as if i was in a spaceship with a bunch of liquor bottles surrounding me. maybe i do need a drink lol serve me up. ok ill give 3 maybe 2.5. worst day ever. guy was nice tho

Great new spot in East Hampton! We had the cheese steak (only on saturdays) and cheese smash burger and cheese fries! They were all great but the cheese fries were my favorite! Overall, great affordable spot and a welcome addition to the Hamptons (which is in need of good affordable food)!

Good burger. Nice place. My kids love the ice cream very much. I have to say the bartender really knew what he was doing. I had a great Smokey cocktail here and Matt really hooked us up. I would say the burger was the best sandwich I ever had but once I bit into their lamb burger I fell in love. 100% recommend this place

Excellent service and the most delicious burgers. Loved my seasonal Christmas drink with bourbon too. Cozy ambiance. Great for families. Highly recommend.

The salmon and arugula sandwich might be the best sandwich on the east end. The mushroom burger is a great veggie burger, similar to a McDonald's cheeseburger. Delish!

I really wanted a burger place to come to eh and hope they can get a little better. Is it a (east Hampton) cheap burger place or a high end whisky bar? Ordering at the bar and having them text you is really dumb especially since the cell service is spotty. The burgers were ok, super salty. Very friendly staff. Terrible music selection. I hope they make some adjustments because I love a good burger joint and I wouldn't quite call them that yet.

I never post negative reviews but I got sick from this restaurant not once but twice, because they ignored my allergy. The second time it was marked twice with a specific instruction to leave out the ingredient containing the allergen. Beware--they do not take food safety seriously here.

Fries was cold and stale, lobster roll was filled with other veggies and too much mayo, burger was dry and uneventful. My bill was over 100 dollars. I would never go back.

Hands down the best veggie burger that I've had! My son loved his cheeseburger. We finished with ice cream. It was the perfect way to end the day together! Loved the vibes, loved the food. Great location!

The food is great here especially the thanksgiving Sandwich they have on special Thursdays and the cheese fries are amazing . Not to be outdone by the food they have a extensive collection of whiskey perfect place to chill

45 mins wait for a burger! Drinks are 1/2 size...from colas to wine.Food was mini too!

So so yummy no matter what you get. Gio is the master behind the bar and will always get your order right, even when you don't know what you want.
