If you’re looking for a true neighborhood coffee shop this is it! I went mid day on a week day and it was steady. It was like a modern day Cheers. The barista knew everyone that walked up to the counter. She was genuine in her conversations and made sure to have a connection - something that is uncommon today. The coffee was great and they roast it on-site. Overall a great spot, I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town.

Incredible rum or whisky infused coffee beans to take home! I wish they offered it brewed in the shop to drink while there as well, but I can confirm their beans are amazing when brewed at home. good nitro cold brew, a fantastic cappuccino and great pastries. I highly recommend the guava or passion fruit croissants.

Discovered this place on an unexpected travel delay and have made it a point to stop by again every time visiting LA. Great tasting coffee roasted on location, fantastic atmosphere and above and beyond service. Take a seat, play a game of chess and relax in the laid back atmosphere You can tell that the team here cares about crafting great coffee and are dedicated to the business.

When I was looking for reliable household cleaners near me because my schedule was just too crazy for deep cleaning, I found this company. This team exceeded my expectations! They dusted every corner, made my floors shine, and even got rid of pet hair from my couch. My home has never felt this fresh! I’m definitely booking them again. Well done!

Atmosphere is great but coffee is ok. I tried three different kinds of latte. They are almost the same. I know nowadays many people like light roasted but not me.

Cute coffee shop tucked away in the back. There is a parking lot, but only 2 are designated parking spots for the coffee shop, and the other spots are for other businesses around there. Drinks itself were good and good vibes from the staff members. We got dirty chai and dirty matcha and both were great.

Cool urban vibes for great hot or cold coffee drinks, a muffin and a relaxing place to sit and relax. A fair amount of seating and also a small spot outside as well in the parking lot. VictorB

This coffee shop is such a great spot. It's a roastery on the inside with a cool industrial vibe that fits the area perfectly. The coffee is excellent, rich, and always tastes fresh. It's in a more industrial part of town, but that adds to the charm. It does get pretty busy at times, but there's usually enough seating to find a spot. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Extremely loved the set up and vibe of this coffee shop. Great customer service, lots of selection on coffees , the banana nut loaf was yummy. Hung out here for a while, great music. Great place to chill and do homework and play some board games with friends. Will be back!

If you're in the neighborhood or passing through El Segundo, it's definitely worth a stop.

Great coffee shop tucked away in an industrial area. It can get a little full but it's a good place to get some work done over the weekend. One of the few places that offers large cold brews (usually places only offer a 16oz option) which I appreciate because I drink a lot of coffee I didnt get to review the shop on my first visit but during that visit I was able to see the guy roasting the beans on the machine they have inside the shop, packaging up the beans, and placing them on the shelves which was pretty cool

Came here to work on a Friday morning and there was ample amounts of seating. Parking is street parking, a bit limited. The barista was super friendly and nice, she explained to me about the Espresso Dul'Sal being more of a dessert drink. Very glad I got half sweet but definitely a heavier type of drink. Nitro is pretty standard, the croissants are flaky and delicious! Overall a great place to visit and great work environment

Really cool ambiance! Loved the open space and the smell of coffee beans getting roasted! The service was super friendly and nice. I got the spanish latte (half sweet) and it was disappointing. I get my lattes half sweet because I want to taste the bold flavor of Espresso. But after taking a sip of my latte, I realized that it tastes watered down coffee. They have private parking but if you have a been car/truck, I suggest parking on the street. I am glad that I checked off a bookmark, but I will not be going back anytime soon!

Dropped in here for some coffee after a workout with friends at nearby at Rising Waves gym. Great spot with a cool vibe. I could see myself hanging out here longer if I wasn't so sweaty. Wanted to try the whiskey cold brew but they had run out. So I opted for the maple syrup latte and it was delicious. The staff was really friendly and worked fast considering we were a fairly large group ordering. I'm not a local but I will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. And I definitely want to try that old fashioned coffee.

Service was great with drinks being available quickly. The ambiance is very nice and casual. My 4-star rating is just because our "Maple Syrup" coffee really didn't taste anything like maple syrup at all. The coffee flavor was good and there was a nice sweetness. If you are looking for a "real" coffee, this seems like a good place. We were excited to taste maple syrup and disappointed while drinking it. Strongly recommend parking on the street outside the shop, the parking lot inside has only a few spots and is very hard to get in/out.

A cute shop with great baristas! It is hard to find parking so be aware you may have to walk a bit to find parking. I had their seasonal drink: pumpkin matcha latte and it was DELICIOUS. Such a great blend that really encompasses the flavors of fall. It is a chilled drink but I recommend getting it before they change it!

Tried espresso dul sal it was amazing! My first time here I met a friend to catch up. I loved watching them roast the beans on a computer and graphs so very cool to watch! Service is quick and the ambiance is cool lots of room to sit. Parking is rough most ppl find parking on the street there's only two spots for this coffee place . I'd definitely come here again!

This a great coffee house off the beaten path that roasts their own coffee - and it is fantastic! They are in a creative / industrial warehouse area and you could easily miss it if you aren't looking for it. Inside it is very spacious, comfortable and you can usually find seating in comfy chairs, sofas, or tables.

Visiting Smoky Hollow has been self-debate on my head given the polarized reviews I read about the place. Hard to find parking, unpleasant service, so-so taste, name it. But in contrary, some people highly recommended it and spoke great stuffs about it. Proving it myself, the dedicated parking spots were indeed limited, but plenty of street parking available and only required very short walk. The space was pretty huge and uniquely designed in vintage vibes with a clear emphasis on it being a coffee roaster. Plenty of desks were provided, making it very accommodative as a working space. The place was quite busy throughout the day, but I witnessed myself that the baristas were pretty swift in getting all the orders ready, shooing away all the negative critics. They offered light bites for the drink companion, for which my pick was Matcha Pistachio croissant. Despite being quite disappointed that it didn't have any filling while I was expecting pistachio paste, it surprisingly tasted pretty decent with flaky and buttery pastry base. The matcha icing on top added extra pleasure to enjoy surely. I went for their fall special, Maple Latte, which came with Pure Maple syrup. If you're in the boat who preferred your cup of joe to come in gigantic size, you would love that they had 20oz size available. It was surely great coffee with strong aroma and flavor, but I would prefer the maple syrup to be toned down a bit as it's tad too sweet. I could see myself coming back given the convenience and good quality coffee; probably next trying something more basic instead of syrupy ones.

One of the best coffee spots I have tried in the El Segundo area so far. Their drinks are not only amazing but also their muffins are really good.

My only complaint about this place is the parking situation. There's only two parking spots specifically for this place in their already small parking lot and street parking is a bit of a challenge. We parked on the other side of the block and just walked and explored a bit. Walking in felt like we walked into someone's garage since there were bags of coffee and boxes almost everywhere. Lots of old furniture and appliances, but it gave a little homey feel. They've got all the usual drinks on their menu and had tons of pastries out on display. What stood out to me was one of their summer drinks - banana cream cold brew. I ordered that and it was nice that it actually had puree'd bananas in it. I was expecting it to be sweeter, but it was still a good drink overall. My girlfriend made the mistake of ordering an iced green tea latte with oat milk, when she meant a matcha latte. We were a bit confused when the barista asked us what tea she wanted and she warned us it would take a bit to steep. The barista ended up picking some pomegranate green tea for her latte, which she didn't enjoy, but it reminded me of skittles when I tried it. We also ordered pull apart monkey bread, but I was kinda bummed when they didn't offer to warm it up. I know there's another location that offers more food options, so I would definitely try that one out and hopefully parking is a little better.

Stopped in real quick on the way to a meeting. Got the Vern and the Randy special both with almond milk cold. Randy was just ok. The Vern from the description should have been sweet? It was sour and... bubbly? Tasted like cider. I think either it was somehow totally wrong or whatever they gave us was spoiled but it was awful. Couldn't go back since we had somewhere to be until well after they were closed.

a great place to go and get some work done, whether that be for school, work, or personal reasons. they have so many tables and chairs in the cafe it's insane! there's also a lot of outlets that are attached to cords from the ceiling that you can pull towards you wherever you're sitting! for my drink, I got the maple turmeric latte with coconut milk. I thought it was good, but it definitely could've used more turmeric in it, kind of like how their sister store store Blue Buttery does with their turmeric latte. but it was still refreshing!! employees are nice, there's a super small parking lot with like 4 spaces so you're better off just finding street parking which is easy, and there's a restroom in the cafe too.

Solid matcha, it had a slight hint of cinnamon in it and I absolutely loved it! The barista and person taking our orders were super pleasant even though there were 20 plus people in line. The ambiance is really cool and this would be a cool place to bring your laptop and get some work done. I didn't give it 5 stars because it was really hot and not well ventilated in there. The back door was closed and not to be opened and there was no AC.

Such a cute coffee shop! It's a great place to study or come to get some work done. There's plenty of seating inside. The parking lot is pretty small but there's street parking nearby. I opted for the iced matcha latte with vanilla cold foam. It was the perfect amount of sweetness which I appreciate! The workers were nice and helpful. The drinks take a minute to come out especially on busier days. Overall, such a cool find and I'd come back if I'm in the area!

First time at Smoky Hollow Roasters! I got the iced matcha latte with cold foam. The latte comes with almond milk and cinnamon. The drink had the perfect amount of sweetness and the foam was absolutely perfect. It was just SO good. It reminded me a bit of horchata. Will DEFINITELY be coming back for the matcha! There were some tables / chairs inside and it seems like a good place to do work.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while & finally made it here! Tip: No cash accepted! We ordered the matcha latte w/ vanilla cold foam & a vanilla raspberry latte. Their sizes are pretty generous, we got a medium but I think their small would have been good enough! The matcha latte was pretty good, not the best quality matcha I've had. The cold foam was really sweet. Their vanilla raspberry latte was SO good. Not too sweet & the raspberry was perfectly subtle. I would definitely get this drink next time with the foam on top for extra sweetness. Their coffee tastes high quality. The inside was a little dim & there are a few tables, chairs, & couches inside. In my opinion, it doesn't seem like a great place to study as there aren't a lot of tables to place laptops or work on. The space inside seemed like they just opened too because there were a lot of boxes around. I will definitely be back! One of the best quality coffee shops I've been to in the area.

Their bread is heavenly, and everything about this place is slay. They have a giant coffee roaster and great decor. Coffee is great quality.

I was in the neighborhood and needed coffee so I gave this place a shot based on the good reviews here. I ordered a cold brew assuming that this would be pretty hard to screw up. Let me tell you, I was wrong. Bitter, astringent and stale are some words that come to mind. I got the nitro brew but the coffee was so bad even that couldn't save it. I forced myself to drink a quarter and then threw it out. Really repulsive. Staff was kind and quick. Vibe inside was cozy. Parking was hilariously tricky. I won't be back.

Minimal parking, confusing menu, minimal customer service. Ambiance looks cluttered. I will not be returning to this establishment. My husband and I ordered an ice blended beverages and it was not blended at all. I got the Oreo blended and my husband got the peanut butter banana one. Both barely had flavor to it. The "barista" asked us what size we wanted when clearly the menu only had 1 size, which was medium. The menu was confusing because it says peanut butter blended and then under it says banana. So we thought it was 2 separate drinks... but I guess it's 1 drink. But there are also prices under both. This is the most disappointing coffee we have ever had. McDonald's coffee is even better than this. My husband threw his coffee away and went to Philz coffee instead.

Hadn't been here in a while but we came back since we were in the area and we got the Spanish latte and the Ana special. Both were amazing and perfect. The barista and cashier were both super friendly and helpful!! The best spot. Can't wait to come back again soon :)

Chill community coffee shop, not a Starbucks , real coffee with big bags of coffee All over waiting to be grinded Lots of seating , like school house style lunch table , every one keeps to them self so even sitting next to some one you don't know you actually forget there's some one next to you Great for families or small children as there's a small section to sit out side as well and 2/3 smaller more private seating behind the tables Con: the parking , there is only 2 spaces! You guys def have to do somthing about that But on the streets there is actually a lot of spaces . Also music is subtle , and you can legit get work done here Free WiFi and yes there is restrooms

Cute cafe with great Wi-Fi and lots of seating. The staff are friendly and the drinks are fine. I'd definitely recommend this location for working on your laptop as they have plenty of outlets.

Confused... I had the brown sugar cinnamon nutmeg latte hot and I never had cinnamon so explosive and spicy that I really thought it was some sort of medicinal concoction. I was confused I just wanted a nice comforting hot latte

I got an iced latte with oatmilk here and the taste is interesting to say the least -- definitely super unique. Great study spot! The only downside I have about this coffee shop is that the parking is terrible. It took me around 15-20 minutes to find a spot (street parking) and it was about a 8 minute walk. But love the ambience inside. Staff are also super friendly :)

The banana cream cold brew (seasonal item?) was disappointing. It was clumpy and the flavors were not well incorporated. The blue butterfly tea latte was similar to the one at Blue Butterfly on Main St., but the flavor here was very faint as if it had been watered down. Considering they share ownership, I expected more consistency in flavors. 2 stars for quick service!

I wanted a latte and I was standing by Starbucks, but I wanted to latte that was actually gonna taste good so I came to Yelp and found smoky Hollow. I'm so glad I took the time to look and walk the 8 blocks because it was hands-down one of the best lattes I've paid for in a long time. I have a new favorite coffee shop in El Segundo.

This review should really be 2.5 stars. Came here on a Tuesday around 1pm and after all the good reviews, we had to try this place. Well my husband and I always try new coffee shops around LA and this one was disappointing. We walked in and the place was HOT! I don't know how people were sitting inside because there was zero air circulation in there. And no AC! Anyway, I got an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk and my husband got an iced Spanish latte. My latte was bitter and had no vanilla or sweeter flavor at all. My husbands wasn't good either. It's weird because I don't get all the good reviews. Small parking lot available infront of the coffee shop.

Stopped in for a mid morning iced Americano and it was delicious. Cool, mellow atmosphere and fast quick, friendly service. Also grabbed a pizza bagel that they warmed up and it was fantastic. All the pastries looked great, was hard to choose. Excellent coffee. Love the Smoky Hollow area in El Segundo and glad Smoky Hollow Roasters is caffeine and community hub.

finally checked this spot out yesterday and loooooved it. i ran into someone i knew on the way in and they recommended i get the Espresso Dul'Sal and that's exactly what i got. The black salt topping is *chefs kiss*. If you like creamy and sweet drinks, this one is for you. 10/10. As someone who is lactose intolerant, this is a drink worth suffering for. Would do it again. The vibe is super cute in here, not that much seating so if you're looking to work from here hopefully you get lucky because it's so cute in here. The service was great and the employees are so friendly and passionate about coffee. Lastly, I saw people complaining about the parking situation but you can literally park up the street and walk 30 seconds . Will definitely be coming back!

I don't understand how this place even has 5 stars. First off the parking was so limited and difficult to find. There's only 2 parking spaces for this coffee shop. We called to ask where it's recommended to park and the man who answered wasn't so pleasant. The customer service isn't all that friendly and great either to start off the morning. The guy in the front can use some training. My boyfriend and I Ordered iced Spanish latte and iced Caramel latte with oat... I'll give it a 2/10 they both tasted like iced milk with a dash of syrup. Not sure if their measurements are off but it can be worked on to balance the taste with the espresso. I was disappointed with my drink and thought maybe I should try another maybe it'll be better. So I ordered a special Vern latte, and NOPE wasn't any better. Usually we'd be so eager to sip on our drinks and enjoy but as you can see in the picture it was 3 full cups just sitting. For being a place that roasts their own beans, it's not all that great.. Not a place we'd come back to. The Ambiance- cool spots to sit outside. Inside was nice to see the roaster and bags of beans but it looked messy with all their boxes on top of cabinets and corners.

Horrible customer service. Heavier set girl with piercings has a stank attitude. The food takes extra long but it's good. Coffee is great but can't get over how rude the workers are. They hate their job and it shows.

Good teas, masked by the awful customer service. First time I came, I thought perhaps bad day. Just left and the cashier was very rude to my wife & I. She didn't even bother to greet us. They weren't busy & no one else behind us in line but she gave us attitude because we didn't know what we wanted immediately. Get a to go other if you must, but two guns a few blocks over is much better customer service.

I'm giving this place two stars because the coffee is good. However, I would leave zero stars if my review was based solely on customer service. The cashier was rude and unwelcoming. I won't be back.

Quiet place to study. Service is very slow, but the music is very mellow and the lighting is perfectly dim. And my medium rose matcha was decent as well :)

Had the Spanish latte ($6.50) and it was yummy! Prices are a little higher than what I'm used to. Space is large and they have free Wi-Fi. Beware - there are little to no outlets so make sure you come charged. The parking is also very limited, although some street parking is available. It also got a little loud due to coffee being grinded.

We love smoky Hollow Roasters! It's truly a hidden gem in El Segundo. It's a bit of a drive for us and out of the way of where we usually go, but we always end up here. It's tucked away in a small plaza with limited parking, but street parking is usually available and a short walk. Many times you can see them roasting and prepping the coffee to be roasted. It's so cool! Everyone's super nice and the ambience is nice and chill. There's limited seating outside and some inside as well. A few times out of the year, they have tequila infused or bourbon infused beans, which is something you don't see too often. The quality of the drinks is top notch and my go to has been the Vanilla Oat Latte. It's so simple, yet delicious. They also have a specialty drinks menu that's worth checking out, but their lattes are the true winners. If you like good coffee, come to Smoky. 11/2/22 Here's to you Tony B. I'm off today after getting my eye check up & decided to take up Tony's recommendations & check out this coffee shop in El Segundo It's not at all what I expected. It's tucked away in a small plaza with very limited parking. Hubby's truck barely fit. The other shops have very colorful & fun murals. The ambiance at Smoky Hollow is somewhat rustic with non matching chairs & a long wooden communal table. It does feel homey. Staff are friendly & ordering was easy, our oat milk lattes were ready in a just a few minutes. Hubby ordered a blueberry muffin-meh, did not taste fresh. My latte was pretty good, smooth & full bodied. Overall it was a nice experience & would return if I'm ever in the area.

Favorite coffee place in El Segundo!! Specialty coffees are always delicious ;) Lost wallet is the best coffee bean.

Such lovely people with plenty of street parking and quite the space! Everyone was enjoying the drinks/food and working. I must say the matcha was not my favorite, it did have clumps, but would love to come back and try their pastries and other drinks because it was such an awesome place.

I needed a wfh station before picking someone up from LAX and found smoky hollow roasters on yelp! I am not dissapointed. The parking situation is limited and kind of weird but the inside has plenty of seating and wifi available, which made it perfect to work there. I asked for recommendations and settled with a latte with honey and cinnamon. Something that wasn't sweet but still got caffeine in. Not going to lie, I wanted to try their coldbrew but given that it was about 3:00pm I didnt want to risk pulling an unnecessary allnighter. Looks like they roast their own beans which is super cool and something I will need to go back and try.

I really needed to use my arm muscles to open the door. Lol. It weighed a ton. Quality door and quality coffee for sure! My vanilla latte was divine. I love when I try a new place and the latte doesn't disappoint! And this place definitely did not disappoint. I already want to go back. Parking was easy to find. The barista who helped me was super nice. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend.

We always stop here after the beach if we can. Great pour overs and espresso tonic. We love their beans too. Fun to occasionally geek out with the barista if they have time. Parking can be tricky but worth it.

I got their Matcha de luce! It was delicious! I loved the matcha cold foam with the black pepper and salt. I loved the sweet and savory of the matcha. It gets a little busy if you want to do work. The service was great and I'd def be back. The parking was a bit of a hassle. I'd recommend parking outside!
