Smugglers Cove Beach Resort

I stayed here for one night transiting and best decision. Overall the vibe of the place is great. The staff are super lovely and tentative. I stayed in the mixed 22 bed dorm and it was good considering the price. The bunk bed and bathroom was clean and good water pressure. The taxi from the airport cost $20FJD, so don’t get overcharged. You can hire a towel from reception with a small cost. Manuia!

Our 3-night stay at Smugglers Cove Beach Resort was a constant series of disappointments. We were three people and had booked a room with one extra-large double bed and one large double bed. Instead, we were given a small room meant for two, with only one double bed. Their “solution” was to remove a chair and squeeze in a small child-sized single bed — completely unacceptable for an adult and absolutely not what we paid for. The evening receptionist was extremely unhelpful, unfriendly, and full of bad faith. He blamed Booking.com for the mistake, even though Booking later confirmed to us that the issue came entirely from the hotel. Very unprofessional attitude. On top of that, we never had hot water during our entire stay. We went down to reception four times to report it, and nothing was ever fixed. Each time we received the same mix of indifference and incompetence. The restaurant matches the rest of the experience: slow service, poor organisation, and mediocre quality. It genuinely feels like the whole place lacks management, training, and basic respect for guests. Overall, Smugglers Cove Beach Resort is a hotel to absolutely avoid. Terrible service, rooms that do not match what you book, unprofessional staff, and problems that are simply ignored. There are far better options in Nadi for the same price or even cheaper. I truly do not recommend this place at all.

Honestly surprised at how good this place is considering the very cheap price for a dorm bed. I was expecting the worst. Beds were comfy, each bed had individual power sockets, and there’s AC. The restaurant/ bar downstairs serves good food. There’s lots on the menu and prices are reasonable. There’s a good crowd each night, a good mix of locals and fellow travelers staying at Smugglers or at the nearby hotels. It seems to be a popular place to hangout at night, so expect some noise from the bar. The beachfront location is great. It’s close to the airport, and there’s a grocery store nearby (less than 5 minutes away on foot). The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I’d stay here again if i ever need to spend another night in Nadi.

We spent 4 nights here at smugglers. Rooms weren’t the flashiest but they done the job, nice big beds, comfy pillows and bed. Service was good, nice vibes and employees. Food was good, but not amazing. Entertainment was amazing, live singer on Sunday night and he was a beautiful singer, also the fire show was amazing I loved it. Good spot and close to other places. I stayed three nights in the 22-bed shared hostel room and had a great experience everything was perfect. However, issues began when I booked a private room through a partner offer on Booking.com. Although I had already paid for the room in full and had all the booking and payment confirmations, the hotel still insisted I pay again at check-in. Despite showing them the confirmations, they dismissed them entirely and were trying to charge me again! Charging a guest twice for the same booking is not only unacceptable but could also breach consumer protection laws. I strongly urge hotel management to properly review their billing process and ensure this does not happen to other guests.

If you’re after pampered luxury and perfection then don’t book here. However, if you’re a backpacker, a couple, a family on a budget, a retired couple, this is a really nice spot to settle in for a week or two. Super kind and friendly service, clean AC rooms, good bar food and snacks, reasonably priced drinks, entertainment and a beach that backs into the hotel. The staff go out of their way to help and be friendly and genuine. Lucy is an absolute gem in this regard. This place is pretty much the best you’re going to get for such an affordable price. Would definitely recommend.

Booked in here as a walk in and couldn't have been more helpful. Restaurant staff and food were amazing. Room is compact but everything we need and super comfy bed.

My partner and I stayed here. Our first time ever in Fiji. Didn't really know what to expect or where we really were, but our experience at Smugglers cove was absolutely wonderful. Close to the airport and amenities and a taxi ride to Denarau. The staff were wonderful always taking care of your needs. Good entertainment and right on the beach. Would recommend for affordability comfort and fabulous service always with a smile.
