Smugglers Cove Beach Resort

We got two rooms for six of us, including the Sunset Suite which has a spectacular veranda with a gorgeous view.. We stayed four days -- two at the beginning of our trip and two at the end. We had a bit of a snag at the beginning -- they scheduled our Malamala tour for the wrong day, so we took the hotel's "island hopping tour," which was good but not quite what we signed up for. We had two little issues with the facility -- the bathroom door was sticking (they repaired it between our two stays) and there is no elevator to the suite (there is a workaround but it is a bit awkward). Overall, it was very enjoyable and we would go back.

All the staff provided excellent service.I stayed in a dormitory, and on that day I was very tired from activities and couldn’t climb up to the top bunk. I asked the staff for help, and fortunately a bottom bunk was available, so they kindly let me switch. Thanks to that, I had a comfortable night.Even though my flight was delayed, the airport shuttle service still waited for me with a clear sign, which made it easy to find.They kindly offer luggage storage as well, which was very convenient before check-in and after check-out.Thank you for the wonderful service!

What a shocking experience. I stayed for two nights in the 22 bedroom dormitory. There were only two toilets and two showers for the whole room and were not cleaned once during the two nights I stayed. To top it off on the second night I had numerous cockroaches crawling over my bedding and out of my pillow case. My bed was close to the bar and music played until late. The service at the bar was sooo slow. Once the food I paid for and ordered wasn’t available, so after around 10 minutes they came to tell me to order something else, the item I chose was cheaper and I had to ask three times for the price difference to be refunded. Food was basic but did the job. Water expensive, a large bottle $6 compared to $3 at Bamboo hostel around the corner. The location was nice with sea views, but busy with construction. Concrete mixers driving past whilst on the sun beds is not very relaxing. Definitely better options in the area.

Close to the beach. The staff were nice and friendly. Although, the bedding wasn’t clean and the bed made noise while you were trying to move, I was still satisfied with my stay. The food and beach were great. Overall, Affordable and easy to reach resort.

Ok, so at first I was hesitant if this place would be ok. We got it at 9pm so booked in and straight to our room.||Only 3 tv stations and poor internet. Yes, picky, I know. But each day we feel more in love, you're hardly in your room. Great spot on the beach, great food, great bar and pool, and brilliant staff. ||Handy location. Yes it's a mixed rooms and back packers spot but this gives it a great fun vibe.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The location on the beach is beautiful, but the primary reason it was so nice is the people. We had about a 12 layover in Nadi from Melbourne to Los Angeles, so we booked a hotel for one day so we could shower and rest a bit. Our flight arrived in the morning, and I asked if we could leave our luggage at the front desk until check-in time in the afternoon. But they got our room ready early and let us rest as soon as we arrived in Fiji with no extra charge! Once we had rested, they connected us with a guide who gave a very thorough tour of Nadi in the few hours we had. Overall the staff was very friendly, vinaka!

Okay for Singles or couples. Wouldn’t recommend for families with young children. Had to lift and carry our suitcases x5 and other belongings up 4 flights of stairs because a lack of a lift. Music from the neighbouring motels is loud and can be heard throughout the night. (We stayed in the top executive suite) Overall, an average place to stay and had we known the area it was located, we would have paid the extra $$$ for somewhere in the likes of Denarau Island. Staff we’re friendly, but we’re also hard to understand.

The staff are so friendly, especially Jason and Ben! They made us feel so welcome and made the experience amazing. There is a weekly fire show which is incredible. The food has a wide selection. My favourite breakfast was the eggs bene which was an eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The cocktails are amazing too! Such a beautiful location right on the beach! Can’t fault it was amazing all round! Definitely coming back!
