Stopped at this beautiful place on our first day. This place is small but has a room dedicated to the history of the peninsula. We took the peninsula map from here and was very handy. We used the washroom for free but I believe it was because the pay machine wasn’t working. The washrooms were clean (has one family washroom). Has a N1 self service gas station.

Clean toilets for 200kr. Don’t hesitate to ask information to the person in the hall, she/he can give you lots of advices and a map. “Icelandic Steve” at the front desk can do very funny jokes about seals in suits on the coast. Funny and very interesting man!

Great stop! Gorgeous scenery and kind, friendly, and super helpful host! Bathroom is clean, tidy and spotless, and you can easily pay with a credit card. My family visited this place in late December, and our car slipped into the snow field next to the parking lot. The host offered help to call our car rental company, and helped tow our car out. The first try wasn't successful, so the host re-assessed the situation. He lent us a shovel for us to clear the snow and ice under our car. While we're there, another car got stuck into the snow in the parking lot before our eyes. The host towed their car out without being asked. In the second round, at first his rope snapped in the first attempt. Then the host tied another knot using his bare hands in such a cold winter morning, and he finally towed our car out! My family and I are immensely grateful to the host. I had asked the host to write his name for me, but alas I lost his name due to my disorganization. If you see this message, I wish you good health and prosperity in the year of 2024!

Great information centre. Can also stay free overnight in motor home as car park has plenty of space and toilets open all night

Stopped for the bathroom. Small fee paid, but very clean and welcome!

Very helpful and entertaining staff member in a somewhat empty building. Very knowledgeable about the area and even cross-checked our itinerary for us to make sure we weren’t going to miss anything. A good stop off point for toilets and great views too.

Great stop! Make sure to drop in to learn about what you can do on the Western Iceland peninsular. Very friendly host and guide. A small selection of souvenirs - and a piano! My son loved it. Almost took the job as piano man.

Really helpful advice on where to go on the peninsula based on interest such as seal beach, waterfalls, and mountains. As well as how far driving from one location to another will be. Also a tiny gift shop!
