Google
Saloon-style bar focused on rum, with a small cocktail menu and tasting flights. Drinks lean sweet and mainstream, with pricing on the higher side. We asked for a Rum Old Fashioned with a local twist, but both rounds were overly sweet and lacked finesse. Service was inattentive despite only a couple of people in the venue at the time, and overall the experience didn’t match the premium pricing. The concept had us hopeful, but it’s catering more to the mainstream and leaning heavily on the hype.

Google
One of Perth's hidden bars, with a secret entrance and no signage but Google will guide you. A password required for Friday and Saturday nights but weeknights they will buzz you in. The decor is really nice and the atmosphere is cozy with plenty of whiskeys and spirits along the back wall. The service is friendly but we did go on a Tuesday night so it was quiet.

We went in early on a Sunday. It was a lovely intimate venue and I loved the decor. I have never seen so many rums in one place. Delicious piña coladas.

Google
Great vibes in this tucked away speakeasy. All good fun with changing passwords, secret dance rooms and some extremely talented bartenders! They dance on tables, offer great banter and can make a decent drink consistently too! Highly recommended!

Zombie cocktail was amazing and also the bar mans recommendation of rum was great. service was absolutely amazing and max was one of the best bar men ever!

Google
Tucked down a Chinatown alley, Sneaky Tony’s is Perth’s best-kept secret. After whispering the password at the hidden door, you step into a dimly lit speakeasy that feels straight out of a 1920s noir film. The cocktails are exceptional — think premium rums and expert mixology — and the staff are true pros, guiding you to your ideal drink. With plush armchairs and soft jazz playing, it’s the perfect spot for a quiet, stylish evening. Highly recommend if you're after a unique and intimate bar experience.

Google
Sneaky Tony's is a very cool speakeasy style bar hidden behind a non descript door in a laneway, so if you haven't been there it takes a bit of effort to fínd But once inside you are treated with a moody interior and friendly knowledgeable bar staff and an impressive rum selection

Google
I love Sneaky Tony and it's one of the most charming places in the entire Northbridge with its Art Deco style, it's quiet but not lonely and the bar staff is always friendly and up to a conversation if you want to.

Yelp
Myself and my friend Amy came in and were blown away by the bartender Paul's passion for service and the craft of tending bar and pouring top quality cocktails. Sneaky Tony's is definitely a hidden gem and Paul was a pivotal aspect to the experience

Yelp
Sneaky Tony's is the go-to for celebrating some proper high-quality rum running from different parts of the globe in a stylish hideout. This place keeps Perth CBD from running dry & dissatisfied, effectively keeping an alternative to the onslaught of expensive hipster drinking joints with mediocre juice. A mystified old-skool prohibition-era styled booze joint serving rum and whiskey of the times without being over pretentious about the art of rum. Chat with the knowledgeable bartender and they'll hook you up with an amazing rum to match up your craving whatever it may be. Sip, lay back and dive in the deep end... Don't mistake it's unassuming massive metal black door, you are at the right place. They usually have a password so look them up on the web, press the buzzer next to the door and you're in for a treat.

Yelp
I love this place its really cool!! It's hidden in an alleyway in northbridge where the door is locked and you have to knock and you see some eyes thtough the slot and say a password to the doorman its an awesome idea! Sneaky Tony's is a top notch rum bar selling all types of local and international rum and the bartenders create some amazing cocktails! Also love the peanuts that you crack open and eat wgikst you are enjoying smooth sups of rum on the rocks, straight or however you like it. The bartenders are friendly and very knowledgeable of knowing their product the rum and can provide recommendations on your tastes and what you like. The drinks menu is very extensive and there is so much to view before deciding on a drink, they do have small descriptions of what the rum/drink tastes like. It's like being in a bottle shop looking at the backs of bottles of wine but having it in a book = awesome! Fantastic interior cool and mysterious and great 1920's bluesy jazzy tunes are playing and the crowds are cool really enjoy coming to this bar as it seems like you've stepped into a different time in Perth - love it! Will be back again and again and each time to explore the tastes of trying a different type of rum each time. Highly recommend this bar for something different and great vibe just don't forget to chrck their Facebook page for the password :) Enjoy that rum in your tum! :)

Yelp
The gimmick of the secret bar with the password is cool so definitely worth a look, but I think there are cooler small bars in Perth with slightly better ambience and more stand out drinks. Do like all the rum though

Yelp
What's in every city and town in every country? Speakeasy bars! Sneaky Tony's point of difference? There's a password to get in. Pros: - Knowledgeable bartenders and quality drinks - They serve a killer pina colada in a coconut water tin - Mature-ish and cool crowd - Free peanuts at the bar Cons: - There always seems to be a line, so after the first visit, I would never line up and go again, when there is a heap of other great bars nearby without lines. - Lack of seating - The ladies toilet doors have see though glass in them, so anyone in the bathroom can see you going to the loo : (

Yelp
Oh this place is just too cool!!! So exciting going for a hunt down the laneways to find this place. And we were in fits of laughter when we had to say our password to get in Friday night, 'I may get naked when I drink rum' Don't forget to look up their daily password before you go. Staff are very welcoming and can whip you up a drink in no time. We had a Dark and Stormy and found a little table in the front corner to stand around until a booth became available. Complimentary peanuts are along the bar and on each table and refilled when empty. Will definitely be going back to try some more tasty cocktails and snacks.

Yelp
This hidden small bar located in Northbridge is cool. It has a camera outside that looks like big brother is watching you. You knock on the door. A slot opens up. You give the mystery password and are let into wonderland. You can hear new Orleans 1920s music playing. Bearded men mixing cocktails. People eating away at complimentary shelled roasted peanuts. A broken piano in the back. And dim lighting. Definitely a place to go on date night when it's not crowded on Friday. I had the planters punch and shared it with three other ladies. Delicious. Love the place.

Yelp
Tony is one hard man to find! Hidden in the laneways of Northbridge, sneaky tony is a new speakeasy bar open only 2 days that is oozing charm. Even if you find this establishment you will still have to provide a daily password to enter. But the trouble is well worth it. The mood and furnishings of this new rum orientated bar are of the prohibition styling. The music and atmosphere are a perfect fit and the bar staff are friendly and have a great knowledge of the massive selection of rum (yes spiced too) on offer. A cool novelty is being able to buy a friend a drink for them which is written on the blackboard at the bar. This way when they manage to find the place they have a cool surprise waiting for them. I left a present for a rum loving friend of mine. I just hope he can find the place! Bar snacks are available as are burgers so if your hungry don't feel the need to go elsewhere. An awesome place and somewhere I will be returning. Good luck finding it!

Yelp
A lot of love has been put into this bar. Firstly, the sheer range of rum that they have on that wall is simply astounding. I'm not the greatest fan of rum, but I can appreciate the dedication it has taken to build this extremely fine collection. Name a country, and if rum is made there, Sneaky Tony's will have a bottle of it. While you can drink beer, wine or cocktails there, you probably ought to partake of the rum. Sneaky Tony's is a temple to rum devotion. For rookie rum drinkers, ask a bartender for advice; they are knowledgeable and eager to help. Next, the atmosphere is brilliant. It's down an alleyway and hard to find. There is a peep hole/sliding eye thing in the rather solid-looking door. You press the buzzer and speak the password to enter (said password can be found on their Facebook page and it changes every day). You go in and it's pitch black with little halos of light over each of the tables. The music adds to the effect. It all reeks prohibition era. Fantastic!

Yelp
I love this place! From h bout side you think it is an old disused warehouse covered in graffiti. But when you are granted entry you will be stunned. It is set up like an old speak easy bar where you require a password ( found on Facebook) to gain entry.. It is something different and gets a laugh from people venturing here for the 1st time. Inside it has a roaring 20s American feel about it.. If you like rum you will be in heaven as that's what this bar specializes in.. Although you can get other types of beverages also. You will be entertained by the bar staff going about their businesses making all types of concoctions. By his bar will suit a variety of age groups. These types of bars are a great addition to Perths nightlife..

Yelp
Sneaky Tony's is a speakeasy so secretive that it requires a password to enter (seek some magic words on their Facebook page), but it's worth the hassle. Think low lights, wooden features and cool bar staff. Keep your eyes peeled when you're looking for it - there's no signage so you could easily walk right past. That is, if there aren't 75 people lined up to get in on a Friday or Saturday night. The bar is to rum what Frisk is to gin - an absolute celebration, with over 250 rum varieties. If rum isn't your thing, the bar also features cocktails, red wine and white wine on tap. While having wine on tap isn't the most traditional thing around, Sneaky Tony's isn't your traditional bar so it all sort of works. Add a good burger menu to the mix and you've found yourself the perfect spot to spend an evening with your pals.

Yelp
Having returned to Perth recently after spending the last few years living overseas, my friend convinced me that we had to go to Sneaky Tony's. After walking down alley after alley and past a dumpster I was beginning to wonder where she was taking me. When we stopped in front of a non-descript black door, I was still in doubt. After knocking and being let in (no password needed on this night). You walk into a relatively narrow space, bar running up the right side of the room with a huge wall displaying every type of rum known to man. The place had an old school speakeasy vibe, melted candles, antique light fittings & leather booths. Sometimes "hip" places like this can feel a bit exclusive, but despite typically needing a password to enter, it felt very inclusive. To the left of our table a couple in their early 20's, to the right a pair in their late 50's. Being the designated driver I didn't get to try any of the rums :( but when my boyfriend asked the bartender for a recommendation, he excitedly ran- yes ran to the other end of the bar to retrieve a bottle and proceeded to explain the characteristics of it. Such a great experience at Sneaky Tony's and I can't wait to come back and try some of the rum cocktails.

Yelp
I really appreciate what Sneaky Tony's is doing, but for now I think it's just a bit too much. The password entry is quite a novelty for Perth and good fun. However there are elements that, if dialed back just a touch, would make the whole experience just a wee bit more enjoyable. In true "modern interpretation of a speakeasy" style, the venue is dark. As in, unless you're right up at the bar, sat at your table or whip your phone out, you'll have a hard time reading the menu. Just a smidge more ambient light would make a huge difference. The music, while excellent, was intrusively loud for a venue where you don't dance. Totally understand they're going for a bit of a raucous vibe, but with that many people packed in, that volume wasn't necessary. Drinks were great, but service was hit and miss. The bartender who I asked for a menu seemed weirdly hesitant to hand it over, and a security guard who I asked if I would be able to come back in if I stepped out to make a call was unnecessarily rude about saying "no". Seriously folks, I thought Perth had finally come to the realisation that aloof service actually isn't cool at all. All in all, I think this place will be pretty rad in a few months time when it settles into itself. In the mean time it's a fun novelty that you'll take great glee in introducing your mates to.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, I love Sneaky Tony's but I recently had a really bad experience. My 40th birthday out with a small group of friends, I love trying different rum's and appreciating their background. Both Lee and Tim have been awesome in the past but the last few times I've been there, the blonde pregnant woman working there has been cold and really rude. Last night was the last straw though. Firstly, other small bars tell me if a serve is going to be more expensive than usual. I don't mind paying $18 to $25 for a drink but a $45 shot was ridiculous and really we should've been told the prices before serving. Secondly, when my wife ask's about drinks before making another order, don't glare at her and walk away. Last night was the worst experience I've had in Sneaky Tony's and I'm really disappointed that the attitude of this woman has now tainted my opinion of the venue. Don't put a pregnant woman with an attitude problem behind the bar!

Yelp
Lived up to the hype, you pay for the quality, variety skill and showmanship. Well deserved winner of best small bar 2015. Excellent....

Yelp
LOVE everything about this place. I picked up a business card of theirs months ago while I was at Pleased To Meet You and have waited in anticipation for them to open. So this place is a speakeasy, I'm pretty sure Perth's very first speakeasy. The place is very well hidden and you could quite easily walk past the entrance without even knowing it exists. Without giving too much away, it's located down a dingy side alley that looks nothing more than the back entrance to a bunch of restaurants. Now, I don't really want to say too much on how you find this place or how to gain entrance but that's the beauty of speakeasy bars... Anyway, once we stepped in, we were instantly delighted to see what a fantastic place was. It reminded me of a speakeasy bar I went to in LA a few months ago. Dim lighting old rustic style furniture... Almost saloon like. They really made the place look authentic, with their classic wood booths, and decor. Now this bar is strictly a rum bar (no complaints from me!) and there are no menus. Pretty much you tell the bar tender what kind of flavours fancy your palate and he'll whip up a delicious concoction. My girls and I are huge coconut fans so our swifty bar man made up the best piña colada I've had in my life. It tasted like a toasted coconut candy... I won't lie , I may have had more than one. I loved how they presented it too, in a coconut water tall can with the top cut off and whipped coconut cream floating on the top, and no tropical cocktail is complete without a mini paper umbrella. Loved it! The decor is classic 30's style, the tunes that were playing was rockabilly and real r&b...definitely our style of bar. Would be awesome if they got a live blues or rockabilly band. Think we found our new fave hangout!

Yelp
Really cool spot, really hard to find... but that's half the fun. Be forewarned, it's strictly a rum bar so if rum's not your thing; may want to look elsewhere
google avatar

Yelp
This prohibition themed bar backs on to pleased to meet you, which is important to remember as you may get lost trying to find it. Situated in the back alleys near Chinatown in Northbridge is a door. You press the buzzer, speak the nominated password and then enter into the Volstead act snubbing speakeasy that you have always wanted. A small dimly lit room with a handful of booths and a smattering of tables are adjacent to the wonderful bar where the tenders are pouring a list of rums. I'm a sucker for a good old fashioned and they have it.. On tap! My friends got a sneaky tony twist on the piña colada which I tried and enjoyed as well. Being a rum bar I had to also try the mojito which was delicious as expected. The atmosphere was jovial and the service was magnificent, even beyond the gimmicks this place is a must return.

Yelp
Having an entry with no name or any indication of what the place might be is a bit underworld secretive but very cool. A password must be given prior to entry...put some effort in the delivery guys...upon seeing someone leave you will only then be granted entry if the place is full. This practice keeps the place from overflowing and humming along quite nicely. Animal trophy heads adorn the walls like bison along with some other hunting items, jazz with a tinge of blues musical adornments also fill the gaps. One of the largest selection to wet many a thirst I have seen with knowledgeable staff to mix a mean piña colada. With a scattering of tables and a couple of booths, the atmosphere is set with subdued lighting and a mixture of people. I would recommend for those with sight and hearing ailments to pack aiding devices as the drinks menu, although lengthy, can be a challenge to read in the ambience of no light and the acoustics not being the best makes it hard to hear conversation, my ear trumpet came in handy though. Overall a very interesting place to sit and discuss "minge world"

Yelp
Love it! Instagramed to get the password for the evening. Looked it up on Google maps and were happy to find we were following another couple into an alley off roe st only to have our bubble burst they had been chased out of the alley by some young people who were sporting water cannons! Google maps is not to be believed. We then banded together to find our way through Chinatown and to a very unobtrusive doorway with a camera and peephole. Peephole flew open we shouted with glee the password and tadahh we were in. Groovy place! Booths little tables that look like something out of an old western movie, bison and moose heads hanging from the walls and very low lighting. Quite loud in there but a nice atmosphere. Favourite drink was the pina colada. Served in a coconut water can. Staff are great. A great little joint!
google avatar

Olivia D.

Yelp
I had this bar on my list for a while now and it didn't not disappoint. The location is hidden and the entry is via a password, making it very cryptic! I was immediately intrigued. The inside interiors is beautifully decorated like a bar from prohibition times. The rum selection is second to none. The bar staff are so accommodating and help you choose a perfect drink, even for the rum novice. The cocktails were beautifully made and full of flavour. They weren't the best I have ever had but the ambiance and surroundings made up for it.

Yelp
Am so excited about this bar existence in Perth! Coolest bar ever in Perth. Interesting way to get in and it actually a great way to control crowd. Cocktail tasted good. Just a tough too noisy lol. But love this bar def go back!!!

Yelp
If you can actually find it, you'll absolutely love this place. Great drinks and awesome bar staff. Don't forget the password, it's your only way in.

Yelp
Cool hipster joint in the back alleys. Great drinks and loved the totally non OHS candles everywhere waiting to burn it to the ground! Sh*t yeah! ps super helpful when I lost my keys. really nice characters running the joint.

Yelp
Really lovely spot, drinks are a bit expensive and the whole password thing is kind of pointless if you let people in wearing singlets and thongs but I had a nice time. If you like rum this is a great spot for
google avatar

Yelp
Get the facebook password. Try the staff picks. My preference is the sloppy joe. Loving the kraken. Over 250 rums to choose from. If you love your jamaicans, cubans, and even bundys (just jokes, they dont sell bundy), then this is your place.
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Lovely drinks. Polite bar service. Great interior design. Worth at least a visit to see if you like it. I've been a few times but recently there has been a bit of a wait to get in.

Yelp
As they led me down the alley in the dark of night I thought I was going to be abducted.Past some bins & a taxi with the boot open (where they'd throw my body?) they came to a stop in a graffiti covered alcove.I resisted the urge to run.A hatch was swiftly opened, the password whispered & we were ushered in.Transported to 1920s/30s US, the American flag is pinned on the bare brick wall.Momentarily mesmirised by the shrine to rum & the bartenders mad skills, I didn't notice the hunting trophies until we'd done two big fruity cocktail bowls & l made the mistake of looking up into the eyes of a dead bison. I thought I was hallucinating. This prohibition era speak easy is a unique drinking spot.I may allow them to take me down the dark alley again...so long as I don't end up like that bison.

Yelp
Visited Sneaky Tony's for the first time on a hot Sunday afternoon, finding the entrance door was a bit of a mission which only sweetened the experience when we stepped into the cool dark interior. Loved the lighting and general decor. The service is impeccable, we were made to feel welcome but werent constantly hassled. Water and nuts brought to us without us even asking. And then there's the cocktails... far out, they were amazing. I'm not usually a rum drinker, but I think I could live off the Cable Car for the rest of my life

Yelp
I really enjoyed sneaky Tony's - dispute having to line up for 15 minutes it was a really cool mature crowd on a Friday night. We didn't actually need to say the password which is on Facebook but we were well prepared if asked. The concept is a New York speak easy which I think they have nailed, cool ally entry, password, & fun fit out. The bar only serves rum drinks in terms of spirits and has a pretty average wine list. Fun night out and great music. I heard the lines get ridiculous tho - not sure I would wait any longer then I did.

Sean S.

Yelp
Snuck into Sneaky Tony's Last Saturday evening grabbed a booth in the corner with 8 friends and loved all the speakeasy theatre. The bar staff were very knowledgable and a pleasure to watch someone enjoy applying their craft of making us an old original. Looking forward to my next visit and some more rum education.

Stacey P.

Yelp
So amazing! Fantastic atmosphere, I really felt like I was in the era. Everything about it is just amazing! Exciting, fun, great music, the best!
