Snikkeriet i Rosendal

Slightly chemical smell when we entered. Like setting paint. Not my preferred atmosphere. I guess service was ok but it doesn't help when the food quality was so lacking. We both ordered vegetarian pad thai. I don't think it was either. It was tagliatelle that someone had killed twice. Boiled in cabbage(the only vegetable we could identify apart from coriander). The water around this tasted like weak animal broth. Tofu had neither taste or texture working for it. If I didnt have a ferry to catch i would have wanted my money back. Also asked for extra spice. No spice apart from salt was detected.

Stumbled upon this place while exploring Rosendal. Was shocked by the low prices (Norway considering!!) and decided to try it out. Very glad I did — fresh, tasty, and well prepared sushi. The perfect break from walking around!

We had amazing sushi! Great price for Norway as well. The chef and the waiter took really good care of us and even treated us with bigger portions, the second time we visited,as a ‘thank you’ for coming back. Such a good memory! We wish we will come back again!

My mom and I were visiting Rosendal and came to one of two restaurants open on a Monday night. The host was so welcoming to us. No one else was there but he quickly attached his laptop to the audio system and played classical music, then set some lit candles on our table. Portion sizes were good, and food was of decent quality. Much cheaper than other local restaurants as well.

Wow, I’m not quite sure how to describe this place, but it was delicious. It’s a one man show with a legitimate sushi chef. The sushi was great and delicious. The inner ambiance is too big of a space so I’d recommend getting takeout. Online ordering only supports Vipps as a payment method, so call in your order and pay with card when you arrive.

The sushi was incredible and VERY well priced. Rosendal is a very small town and the dining options are limited, with most of them being $$$. We ordered a sushi platter, 2 vegan maki, and spring rolls and it was 520 NOK. Well worth it! We were the only people in the restaurant and only one man was working as the chef and waiter, so the service was slower but we didn’t mind. Highly recommend you enjoy a meal while you’re in town!

We have been there a few months ago and the shushi was just great and the people polite. Thus we chose to eat there during the whole duration of our stay.
