The only open restaurant in the area (3rd May). So there was not much of a choice.
The fish&chips very decent in quality, but disappointing in fish quantity :(
Very good tartare sauce.
4* overall, as the location is nice, and there is also a chance for some smoked fish and caviar shopping.

I shouldn’t complain about a smokehouse having smoked food, but some of these dishes were simply too smoked for me. The chili shrimp especially.
The natural shrimp and the salmon were the winners for me, and then they had a nice selection of classic pickled herring and meatballs and fish filet.

Nice interior and ok food. Restaurant is situated beside a road with a lot of traffic. I would recommend sitting inside.

Second visit for the buffet. It’s really good if you like fish. Even if there’s a lot of customers it feels fresh and tidy. Recommend this restaurant!

This smokehouse was close to the house we rented in Balkastrand. I absolutely loved their lunch buffet, and think the price was super fair for the offer.
The variety of fish, the quantities and freshness of the food was worth it.
Make sure you try all the different types of herring and of course the fiskfillet with rye bread.
