When I was young, Snoopy's World could be regarded as a theme park which was comparable to Disneyland (but actually it wasn't completed when I was just a little girl!). Located right next to New Town Plaza and Sha Tin Town Hall, it was very accessible especially for us living in the vicinity. My mum always took us there to have a walk and take pictures of the cute Snoopy characters. Apart from the location there was another factor - it was free of charge and it still is! So I was super familiar with this wonderland!
When you get in through the main gate, you're welcomed by Charlie Brown, and in front of you is the Dog House where you may find the TV, bookshelves and some of the characters' items inside. And actually Snoopy is lying on top of the roof! Then on your right hand side is a yellow school bus. I remember when I was young there was a cartoon called The Magic School Bus which showed a teacher who took her students to have some kinds of adventure and they travelled by a yellow school bus every time. I enjoyed watching that cartoon, and so I particularly loved that yellow school bus when I visited Snoopy's World! Another attraction is the boat ride. But to get on a boat, you need to purchase a certain amount in New Town Plaza first. I was a timid girl in the past and thought that would be as dangerous as riding on a pirate ship! Now I think it was a pity that I didn't have a boat ride there! There is also a playground for children. Other areas are mainly set up for photo-taking. If you explore everything slowly, you may spend around two hours there!
Of course Snoopy's World is much smaller than those large theme parks in Hong Kong, but hey, it's almost free of charge! And in fact the joy you can gain may be comparable to what other theme parks offer you!
