My husband I decided to give Snooze another try after to see if things improved since our first visit three years ago. I'm glad to say it was better this time.
We arrived at 7:45am, and were able to easily get a spot in their small parking lot (shared with Yafo Kitchen). I like how bright the place is inside, but the music just isn't to our taste. It's very trendy and much too loud.
For our breakfasts, I had the Snooze Classic with scrambled eggs (and added cheddar cheese), bacon (requested crispy), hash browns, and sourdough toast. My husband had their Corned Beef Hash with fried eggs over medium and wheat toast. We also both ordered lattes with an extra shot in each.
My eggs were cooked perfectly--not too hard or dry--and the cheese was generous and nicely melted. The bacon is of the thick variety and is slightly sweet. I don't like sweet bacon, so I'll try one of their many other options next time, like chorizo or pulled pork (yes, that's available!). The sourdough toast was pre-buttered, and yummy. The hash browns are served like a cake. It's very filling, so I brought most of it home.
My husband's hash and eggs were wonderful. You can tell their corned beef is made in house, as the chunks are large and very tender. The eggs were perfectly over medium.
Their lattes were a disappointment, however. They serve them in a very small mug for $4.95, plus $2 for the extra shots. We won't get them again, as they weren't worth the high cost.
Service was great, and our meals were delivered quickly. If it weren't for the music, we'd be regulars here. But the food was good enough that we will definitely return within the year.
