Comfortable beds with privacy curtains, light, power socket and USB. Good showers with hooks for hanging items and shower gel provided. And finally a hostel that doesn’t charge or require a deposit for towels - fantastic! ||There is a nice communal lounge area and outside seating. The kitchen has everything you need. Free tea, coffee and some fruit is available 24/7 which is fantastic, and there are even some free daily afternoon snacks. I have to say a highlight is the free breakfast which is excellent - everything you’d want and good quality produce. The hostel is very clean throughout with everything well-maintained. WiFi is excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. ||Note that Snoozles is operated by the same people as Kinlay Hostel, which is also superb. I strongly recommend both hostels.

An upmarket hostel (2 Star Hotel?). Very pleasant and helpful staff. A double room was booked. The room was "compact" but everything worked, and a mobile fan was provided. This helped with creating "white noise" to reduce the impact of noise from the street and the Bus depot to the rear of the hostel. A continental breakfast was provided. The hostel is a short walk from the train and bus depots. Ideal for walking access to Galway centre.

One word: AMAZING. We travelled across Ireland and this was hands down the best hostel we have been. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by the great smile of Matt, the reception guy. He gave us some very useful information about the city and pubs recommendations. We then joined the pub crawl activity, which allowed us to get to know other young travellers and spend some good time in the city. Bear in mind: this is not a hotel. So you are not going to find huge spaces to store your stuff (only the classic storage box under the bed). We were given towels for free, which is not common in hostels. If you are looking for a pretty, relaxed and well positioned hostel, this is the right place for you. :)

I landed in Shannon and went straight to Snoozles before I could check in. They let me keep my bag there and hang out. The bed I had was in a 4 bed coed space, and it was super comfy. I slept so well and would definitely stay again. The breakfast was simple and tasty, and the hospitality was wonderful. Thanks!!

Super-clean and comfy rooms. Booked a group of 50 students and 5 teachers. Every effort was made by staff to ensure a super stay. Special thanks to group booking officer, Hugh on Reception and to Flora and Amy who assisted with Breakfast. Thanks Snoozles! Abraham at London on Legs.

Stayed here for one night and had a double room with en suite which was better than expected. There was a nice atmosphere and the staff were very welcoming. We dealt with Valentina on reception who was lovely and very helpful! Location is perfect, everything was walking distance.

Extremely noisy from the street. The beds are way too short for an average person, you’re crammed in a bunk. The chargers on the beds aren’t working. Bedrooms full to the brim, bathrooms tiny. The whole place has a rather impersonal feel. The only plus is the breakfast. (it’s pretty clear that some of the reviews are far too enthusiastic to be genuine)

Booked 50 students and 5 teachers in for another (have booked many times before) 2-night stay at Snoozles. Rooms were super-clean and comfy and hostel felt really secure. Staff were amasing, right from group booking officer to Hugh on reception and Flora and Amy who assisted with breakfast. The location is perfect; right in the centre of Galway City and is the perfect hub for everyone from solo travellers to large groups like ours was. Thanks Snoozles. Abraham at London on Legs.

Yelp
this was my first time staying in a hostel, and it went great. pros: - very nice and helpful staff - great location - calm common space for recharging - clean! cons: - rooms are a little small, but it's very manageable especially if you're on a different schedule than your roommates. - not super social. like i said, the common spaces were very chill but im sure it varies

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to relive those tender years when you needed nothing more than an empty bunk, a backpack, and a Swiss army knife to see Europe on the cheap? Yeah, me neither, but here I was staying in my first youth hostel in I won't tell you how many years. Why? Well, it was part of a two-day tour package I bought through Galway Tours, and I assume to bring the cost down, they put people up in this place since it's right next to the Galway coach station where I was supposed to pick up the bus the following morning to Connemara. I have to admit I didn't pay attention to that detail in the online description and probably thought that it wasn't a big deal to stay in a hostel for one night. Well, it wasn't all that big a deal, but I have to tell you that the sight of six bunk beds in a small room (see photo) reminded me of the Dachau concentration camp tour I took years ago. I looked into the bathroom (granted a luxury since I assume most of the rooms have shared facilities) and saw that the shower stall had no real drainage, and there was little room to put any toiletries on the sink's ledge. I actually let myself think that perhaps I would have the room to myself until I noticed a huge backpack hidden under one of the bottom bunks. Then a young couple, a New York girl with her Peruvian boyfriend, came in to take another set of beds. OK, the adventure begins, and of course, I started to feel self-conscious about my age because I was surely the oldest lodger in that hostel that night. As it turned out, everyone was cool, and nobody snored. Thank heaven for small favors. But I just felt weird being in what felt like a crowded dorm room like I was spending spring break in Fort Lauderdale with Connie Francis and George Hamilton. I wasn't feeling my vibe here, and frankly it was much worse downstairs in the common area where the more rambunctious youth were making a racket until the wee hours. It was like a United Nations General Assembly meeting crossed with a slumber party. The following morning, when I tried to have a slice of toast, a young African girl looked at me and laughed in my face like a hyena. Gee, thanks for making me feel like an outcast. But I really can't complain much since the rate for a bed here is about $25 US. By the way, the young staff at the desk are quite nice, the other guests not so much.

Yelp
Snoozles Hostel is really well located (although admittedly the coach driver and I had missed it twice). It is a short walk to the centre and it is literally right next to the bus station. And... because of its location it is much quieter and not a lot of noise from the street. Upon arrival, it actually looked like the budget hotels that I have stayed in rather than the hostels I have stayed in. The staff were really friendly, willing to help, had suggestions for the students, etc. The manager had a quick talk with the group about the policies of the hostel, i.e. bringing alcohol in. The rooms are very nice, all en-suite. However, some of our students complained about the beds not being a bit short as some of the students' legs were hanging off of the beds. The students also mentioned the same issues with the bathrooms as everyone else here has mentioned. I ended up in a double room on the third floor and it was very nice, not at all what I was expecting. The bed was a bit firm, but the duvet and pillows were very comfortable. The bed squeaked a lot when I would roll over, but overall, good. There was a balcony area with double doors that opened onto it. The view was nice and it was nice to get some fresh air in the room... especially after taking a shower and the steam filling up the room. The free wifi in the rooms was nice... well it only worked for a little bit before the whole system just shut down and the staff didn't really know how to fix it. Breakfast was nothing special, but there was toast, juice, coffee, milk, and cereals available and the staff were good about filling things up before the containers were empty. The lounge area is nice with a few computers, a toilet, a billiard table, books, and a t.v. The only thing that I found to be a problem was on the second day that we were there, I went to my room and waved the card in front of the door and it wouldn't open, yet it worked to let me in the door downstairs. So I went down to the lobby to let the staff member know. He came up and tried the card again and it still would not open, but now it sounded like it was working, but the door just wouldn't open. He wasn't sure on how to fix it, so instead I just went out hoping to stop in before dinner to drop off some things and then go out again. When I got back, the card still didn't work so the staff member had to let me in, although he had quite a bit of trouble trying to use a device to unlock the door. He had told me that I was just going to have to have someone let me in every time I need to get into the room. Of course that put a bit of a damper on my night because the last thing I want to do is be escorted to my room every time I need in and I'm sure the staff have better things to do. They are a fairly new hostel, so I am hoping that the problems with the locks and the internet they were having is just because they are still getting used to the system. Overall, I would recommend it to my students and anyone on a budget looking for a nice place to stay.

Yelp
This Hostel, although located in the city, the room was not spacious enough for a group of 6 people, bathroom lacked basic amenities and most of all, the bed sheets were not clean and some even had STAINS on them. Considering the current COVID pandemic, it's shocking of the lack of cleanliness and cramped up space in common areas. The staff were nice however, nice and hospitable.

Yelp
I'm going to put this out there and say I don't enjoy staying at hostels, so this rating is actually pretty high for me. Besides having an adorable name, Snoozles is more of a mix between low budget hotel and high end hostel. My friends and I (a group of 7 people) were put into two rooms that both had ensuite bathrooms. As has already been mentioned, there seems to be a design flaw with the bathrooms since the floors don't slant so when you take a shower water basically goes all over the place. Luckily, each room also has a mop so you can push the water down the drain. Reception was friendly, if a bit overly professional. Word of warning to those looking to party in this hostel though--they have some pretty strict rules about no drinking without permission from the staff. Since you're basically in the city centre of Galway though, this shouldn't be a problem as you should be out enjoying the nightlife. Overall, Snoozles was a great place to catch some sleep and swim.

Yelp
As hostels go, Snoozles isn't bad. It's new, fairly central and cheap. But as Kristy pointed out the bathrooms are a wee bit of a problem, because they don't have a seperate shower or even a slanting floor so that the whole bathroom is under water after a shower. The staff are nice, but everything seems a bit chaotic and we were booked into separate rooms even though we'd booked one for ourselves and had confirmation to that effect. The kitchen was nice and clean though and the included breakfast wasn't bad either, pretty standard really. Would I come here again? If all the other hostels in Galway were booked already, maybe.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute. Brilliant staff, especially matjan and darragh, very accommodating and friendly. Hospitality is top notch, would recommend to anybody looking for a staycation.

Yelp
Five out of five. Great facilities, strong wifi, clean room, staff were incredibly sound. I'd definitely go back soon! It's 5 minutes from shop street at most. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
We found the hostel to be quiet nice and clean. It was easy to find and quite close to the bus station- a 5 min walk which was nice w/ a 25 lb backpack on your back. the reception was friendly and helpful. the room was typical with 2 sets of bunkbeds. the rm appeared clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the lack of a separation from shower and the rest of the bathroom. There were large floor to ceiling doors that could be opened to let fresh air in. There was free wi-fi access through the hostel. the tv rm had plenty of comfy chairs and couches. Breakfast was a bit weak, with only bread and juice and coffee offered. But if you're looking for cheap and just a typical clean hostel, you cant go wrong here

Yelp
Room was clean and beds were not too uncomfortable, but toilet in ensuite was broken/would often not flush and staff did not do anything about it/ offer a discount. GREAT LOCATION, pleasant staff.

Yelp
I enjoyed staying here. It was quiet, clean, and I felt very safe. It's within walking distance from downtown and actually has a garage where you can park your car for a small fee. Wifi worked really well, the breakfast was tasty, and it was relatively cheap to stay there. My only complaint is that the rooms were really muggy and smelled like sweaty dudes, haha. A cracked window would've solved that, but my friend and I got there so late, we didn't want to make any more noise then we already were.

Yelp
We were set up with Snoozles through our tour company, Dublin Tour Company. It's located directly next to the bus station, so it was very convenient to get to. We were greeted by an extremely friendly girl at the front desk. I wish I knew her name, because she was extremely helpful and made the check in experience enjoyable. She gave us some suggestions for places to go out to get some drinks and provided a map of the downtown area. The hostel is a short walk from the downtown area. The main lobby has a television, games, pool table, books, wifi, and a computer. Towels are available for €2. They also have a hair dryer, straightener, and iron available for a deposit of €5. The bathrooms in each room are clean and pretty decently sized. Complementary breakfast is three choices of cereal, bread with jams, and orange juice.

Yelp
Snoozles is the best. I got a 6 person suite with 5 of my friends and we were lucky to get it all to ourselves. Plus, we had our own bathroom. The free breakfast was basically cereal and toast and tea (you have to buy coffee) but it was all we needed. The location is ideal, right next to the bus station and Eyre Square. But the absolute best part about Snoozles is the wonderful staff. There was a woman working the front desk with long dark hair, and I wish I could remember her name to give her a proper shout-out because she was so helpful and warm and welcoming and just great. She helped my friends and I choose tours and gave us some great recommendations (some we should have seriously heeded). Also, the guy who was working the night shift was lovely. My friends got split into two groups over the course of the evening, and I was left without my key. The security guy checked our passes and then quietly let us into our room. What a lifesaver! Snoozles was a really remarkable hostel experience.

Yelp
Very nice place to sleep in the beautiful city of Gallway. It had the best breakfast of any of the cheaper hostels I've stayed at, and a wonderful staff. The only complaint I could even remotely make was that the floor of our restroom became soaked after anyone showered, and didn't really have a drain for it, as it took awhile to dry.
