The 16 Best Things to Do in Seattle

"The magnificent 270-foot waterfall just east of Seattle and the short walk to its base alone makes for a wonderful half-day trip. But since the ancestral caretakers of the land, the Snoqualmie Tribe, purchased their land back, they have made it even more meaningful in adding more to see. In 2023, the Snoqualmie added a visitors center that tells the story of the Snoqualmie (both the tribe and the falls) through cultural resources, including Indigenous art, with a gift shop that sells art by minority and women artists. This is the fastest way to get an idea of the Pacific Northwest's splendor without having to drive too far from the city or stay too long." - Naomi Tomky, Jenna Scatena

Snoqualmie Falls, Gift Shop and Visitor Center

"Let’s start big picture. What’s the vibe here? The magnificent 270-foot waterfall just east of Seattle and the short walk to its base alone makes for a wonderful half-day trip. Fun! Any standout features or must-sees?Snoqualmie Falls, is the main attraction here, both from the observation deck near the parking lot, and from below via the short walk down. Got it. Was it easy to get around? The trail is well-trod here, and clear signage marks the way if you somehow luck into a crowd-free day. The gift shop and visitors center, as well as the path between the upper parking lot and observation deck are completely accessible, though the hike to the lower section is not. That sounds cool. All said and done, what—and who—is this best for?Visiting Snoqualmie Falls is about the fastest way to get an idea of the Pacific Northwest's splendor without having to drive too far from the city or stay too long—it's a quick visit. That does crowd the site a bit with tourists and families on day trips, so committed travelers or passionate hikers may want to look a bit harder for something that gets them further from everyone else." - Naomi Tomky

Really good coffee and ice cream! They also have a nice selection of souvenirs themed around the waterfall and surrounding nature—definitely worth stopping by before you leave. There’s a comfortable and quiet outdoor seating area nestled in nature, surrounded by trees. A dedicated space is available for dogs outside the gift shop. The gift shop is divided into two sections: one for souvenirs and gifts, and the other for the café, drinks, and snacks.

After our hike to Snoqualmie Falls, we stopped by the Gift Shop and Visitor Center, and it was a great little spot to explore. The shop has cute souvenirs, perfect for picking up a keepsake or a gift. They also have a cozy café, which was just what we needed after the hike. We tried the Matcha Latte, Lemon Raspberry Oat Bar, and Marshmallow Bites—all were delicious! The oat bar had the perfect balance of tart and sweet, and the marshmallow bites were a fun, tasty treat. It’s a great place for a quick bite or drink, whether you need a break before or after enjoying the falls. Would definitely stop by again!

Any visitor to the famous falls should make time to visit the Snoqualmie Falls Gift Shop and Visitor Center. It provides a comfortable and practical location to learn about the area, shop for distinctive gifts, and have a bite to eat before exploring the falls, and it's only a few steps from the parking lot. With items that showcase the falls' and the surrounding area's natural beauty, the gift shop is tastefully designed and well-organized. There is something for everyone, including themed souvenirs and regional handicrafts. Finding a unique souvenir of your trip is made simple by the excellent assortment of goods pertaining to Snoqualmie Falls itself. A visit to the Visitor Center is also worthwhile. The media room was regrettably closed when I visited, but the historical exhibits on the walls offer intriguing perspectives on the region's rich past and its relationship to the local Native American tribes. It's obvious that the center is an excellent place to learn more about the falls' natural and cultural significance. With a selection of snacks and beverages that are ideal for indulging before or after your hike, the café is a great place to unwind. Although it is more expensive, they also carry a great assortment of trail-related boxed goods. When I was having trouble making a decision, the café's personnel were patient and accommodating. The café's staff was friendly and accommodating, taking the time to help me choose a drink. Their friendly service was greatly appreciated. The outside seating area is a great addition for dog lovers, providing a dog-friendly setting where you may eat while enjoying the lovely surroundings and fresh air. All things considered, it's a wonderful place to come, with lots to discover and welcoming personnel. Strongly advised!

Snoqualmie falls have small visitor center and cafe next to the parking lot you can stop here before heading for the falls. I found the people working there very cold. Nobody greeted anybody and there was no warm smile or eye contact. I don’t know why. We were confused where to start and how to start. There was nobody to help us show the way. We asked some tourists outside afterwards. The cafe has a nice collection to pack for the hike. Price seemed on the higher end. The shop was decent. They had a nice collection of everything. They also have a nice media room on the history. Sadly it was not on when we went. They also have a wall on the history of this majestic fall where they have acknowledged the Native Americans.
