Snow Creek Saloon

When in red lodge, you must hot snowy creek. While I love most places in red lodge, snowy creek is my fave. The people are super awesome and the staff is even way cooler. An absolute must visit!

Boo! We’ve been going here for years. And i mean years. We just walked in with a big group of people to shoot pool and have a drink (in the middle of the day), and we didn’t even get in the entrance before the most rude 20 something lady told us not to come in. Apparently, although she gave no reason at all, they don’t allow minors any more. Keep in mind, we live in Montana and go to all establishments with our kids and family. We’ve never been denied, especially not SO rudely. It’s one thing to have a policy change, but another to be SO rude before we take two steps in the front door. We like to spend money there. Definitely not anymore. Make sure your friends know, they don’t like local families anymore and for “good reason” according to the new 20 year old in charge.

I went here 15 years ago. absolutely loved it. COOL ATMOSPHERE. Live blue grass band was there that night. I requested blue moon of Kentucky and they KILLED it. Bought them drinks the rest of the night 🤣

Super great! The band on March 29, 2025 was super awesome!! DTR rocked out all night long! They should return again!!

Kind of a locals bar, but we felt very welcomed as tourists. Even better was that they are SUPER dog friendly, even giving our miniature schnauzer Seamus a treat. Full bar with several local Montana beers on tap.

Update , wow was in here again the weekend of August 5th on a Saturday night and this place was rocking. The band that was on the upper balcony alcove this lady had a set of pipes they were tearing it up This place was a lot of fun. Friday night was a couple wedding parties It was so packed we could not even get in so we went over to The Blue which also had a good crowd great bartenders What a great town.

If in Red Lodge and are looking for a place with drinks and a great atmosphere this is it. Staff was super helpful with planning our Bear Tooth Pass ride. 👍👍

Snow Creek saloon is great. I visited today and I've been there one other time 20 years ago or more. Last time I was there was the day that Jerry Garcia died.I always remembered the place so I was in the area and decided to visit. It is now, like it was then, by far the coolest place in Red Lodge which is a pretty cool little town.

We arrived at the opening hour so the place was empty, as expected. It's a Wednesday during the "shoulder season" and business is slow. Cozied up to the bar and chatted with the bartender. She was friendly enough and made polite conversation with us. Bingo tonight so there should be a crowd later. Beer was cold and there are enough entertaining options to explore. Bikers welcomed! I could easily see this as part of a local bar crawl.

Great environment, the bartender Sam was attentive and kind, we got to sing and dance to the live band - Will definitely be back.

What a fun place! We were traveling with another couple and we stopped for a drink and had a fantastic time! Brandi the bartender is awesome! She is so welcoming and made some great drinks. Try the green tea cocktail! We stopped for a drink and 4 hours of college football, great conversations and music we decided it we made a great choice to stop for a drink!

Met so many great people here . Alisha is best Bartender ! My dog Jack also liked very much . Alisha ,. Jack and I will be back ! Great selection of spirits and beers . Beer from Kona Hawaii was excellent !!! 5 stars !!!!

If you want to be insulted when you order a drink this is the place to go. I watched the bartender dance to karaoke songs while leaving the bar completely unattended. I was first at the bar and no one else was there. By the time she came back to tend to the bar a bunch of other people were there. She went on to serve everyone else around me. I walk away to wait for the bar to slow down. I come back when it's empty and am waiting and a man walks up and she serves him right away before coming over to me...45 minutes before attempting to get a drink. She asks what I want, and I point out I've been waiting a minute, asking her why people aren't being served first come, first serve. She calls me a c**t and proceeds to take my order, throw my check in my face and tells me I'm cut off after taking 45 minutes to get served. I understand customer service is a tough industry but this type of service is unacceptable. Will not be returning here ever again and would not recommend the service to anyone due to the disrespect and degradation that employees at this establishment feel is appropriate to give to the people essentially funding their paychecks.

This bar has so much history and has a fun staff that is very attentive. The Snow Creak is definitely a part of the community and supports the community in many ways.

Nightlife...this is how this is catorgized on Yelp........and yep, it is nightlife in the small but quaint town of Red Lodge, MT. I had dinner earlier that evening and was in no particular hurry to head to bed, so I checked out a few watering holes that evening and Snow Creek was my last stop. This place...which I had walked by earlier in the day was dead then..........by 10 pm, it was rocking! A blending of tourist and locals, the space will fool you....as way in the back is another huge bar that was not in use at the time. The main bar was awash in neon lighting and there was energy in the air. I struck up conversation with a few young ladies that were local and told me that it can get pretty crazy in there during the very cold winters. I enjoyed my short time in Snow Creek Saloon.......if you find yourself in these neck of the woods.......you should stop by and have a beer.

Live music and divey kind of bar! They serve bar foods so you can snack as you drink. Seems like a mix of locals and tourists! It definitely can get rowdy inside on a weekend night. Fun for casual drinks but better if you're in a group setting - not a date spot!

We were happy we found Snow Creek Saloon after dinner. What a fun place and great conversation with Zack the bartender. We even bought some apparel to commemorate our visit.

Loved this place. Great dive bar with friendly attitude Prices low and all sorts of bikers having a great time 10 rounds of jack for$40 not that bad !! Feel a bit delicate today though

Coolest bar in northwest Wyo and southern Montana. I am a 26 year old from Cody. Cody is AWESOME but the night life scene for someone aroud my age group is very sparce. My buddies from down south decided to fly up and visit for one of the first times since my relocation up here. We went to Red Lodge to hit the slopes and went to this bar that night. It was the cats pajamas. When we went, there were many people our age and there was a band playing on a stage on top of the bar. They were a band covering a wide variety of rock & roll. They were pretty damn good. We decided to mingle and ended up doing ski shots, which were really cool. The drinks were not over priced and we never waited for more than a minute or so at the crowded bar to get another drink. Overall, it was nice to bring my friends up here and hit a spot like Snow Creek as there is not much like it within the Big Horn Basin. I will defintely be going back and would strongly suggest that anybody that is looking for an awesome time in Red Lodge to go visit this place. Tourists and Big Horn Basin residents alike will find find the change of pace very fun.

Great place to hang with the locals!! Really get the Montana experience! Beer is COLD, women are hot!! Prices are super reasonable and owner is very down to earth! Well worth the stop!!!

Best bar in Red Lodge! Stop reading this and go there. Affordable pricing, live music is a staple, and a great small town atmosphere. Always packs an eclectic crowd.
