Snow Valley Lodging

Snow Valley Lodge was a cozy little escape! The cabins are definitely compact, but they’re impressively well-equipped — everything you need is packed in: kitchen, toilet, shower, fridge, comfy bed, sofa, TVs, plus dishes, plates, and glassware. It’s like a tiny home with all the essentials. I loved that dogs are welcome (huge plus for pet owners!), and the office hot tub was a great bonus after a long day outdoors. If you're looking for a snug, no-frills stay with all the basics covered, this place delivers. Just be ready for tight quarters — but honestly, it adds to the charm.

We drove from Calgary and after a beautiful drive we arrived in Fernie at this sweet little motel! Booking was so easy, check in was a breeze, and the girl working on August 5 was absolutely wonderful! She greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel so welcome right away! Parking was free and we were lucky enough to get a spot right outside our room which was perfect! The whole place had such a warm and cozy family feel! Our room was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed. A fridge, microwave, and a full bath which we really appreciated! The lighting was soft and welcoming and I absolutely loved the touch of locally made Fernie soap and body wash! And the hot tub… what a treat! It’s private and you book a time slot in the lobby which was amazing because it gave us our own special family time to relax and soak after a long day! The location was also fantastic, we could walk to restaurants, grab treats, and explore so easily! This place just felt so warm, charming, and thoughtful! We truly enjoyed our stay and I would 100% stay here again! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Fernie!

Friendly and kind welcome. Room 35 - stylish and comfortable. ||Very good bed and bedding with a good shower and bathroom. Excellent decor. Really clean and welcoming. ||Easy to park. Lots of great recommendations and local info. (Someone obviously loves Fernie). ||A really good value place which was a pleasure to stay at.

Nice place. Clean and our room had lots of space. Location is close to the main road and train tracks so it could be noisy although seemed quite during the night.

Very friendly staff! Amazing room for anyone traveling with a dog 🐕 Complimentary dog treat gift bag 🥹including poop bags. Room came with dog bed and water bowl. 🙌 Will definitely come back!

We had a great ski weekend! The location is next to the main road, so you can hear the traffic a bit, but overall - great stay. You need to request to book the hot tub, which surprised me but it ended up being nice because it felt more private and not overcrowded. Would recommend to stay here! View to the mountains in the morning was breathtaking.

This was a great little place to spend the night in Fernie. Great location, friendly and helpful staff. The room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. They even had a gift bag for our pup! It was within walking distance of restaurants and coffee shops and close driving to Fernie Alpine Resort.

We stayed at the Snow Valley Lodge during a bike tour around Glacier National Park. The hotel was extremely bike friendly and the first hotel we have ever stayed in with a bike cleaning station! It also a nice laundry room with the most amazing views of the mountains. We also loved using the hot tub after a long, hard, cooled ride. The rooms were nicely kept and the staff was great. We really enjoyed our stay and were well rested in the morning to continue are ride over the rocky mountains.

If you're on a budget and looking for a safe and clean place to get respite from the road definitely check out this motel. Solo female traveler friendly. Dog friendly. I found the basics covered: very comfortable bed, clean bathroom, microwave, mini fridge, coffeemaker, radio, tv. An easy walk to downtown. Even loaner bicycles. Fernie is the only city in B.C. that is surrounded by the Rocky Mountains.

My husband and I stayed here 9 nights and our stay was exceptionally nice. The staff go overboard in helping you out and they have snow bikes you can use for free with your stay as well as a gas grill on the deck. We biked the snow covered trails around town which was really fun and bought fresh brats at the neighborhood meat store which we grilled outside. The ski hill was only a 10 minute drive from the motel and we got a great view of the ski area from our upstairs room. We highly recommend you stay at this lovely motel.
