"Since 1946, the Snow White Cafe has offered respite from one of the busiest stretches of Hollywood Boulevard. Inside, above the door, you’ll find a curious gem on display: a Snow White–themed mural, painted by the actual artists who animated the Disney film. The exact origin of the artwork is debated, and the strange message on the mural, “We hope we have pleased you!” offers little clue. The website Only in Hollywood explores several theories: Some say the mural was gifted as a token of their appreciation, as the cafe was a hangout for Disney animators—and Walt himself—who came to brainstorm over cups of coffee. Others say the building’s remodel coincided with the premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (which opened at the Vogue Theatre down the street) and the space was decorated for the film’s after-party. The restaurant’s website provides these instructions: “When you come in, look up above the entrance and you’ll see a historical mural crafted by the very hands that gave life to this Disney classic.”  Those in search of sustenance and a quick escape from the chaos outside may want to partake in the cafe’s no-frills American fare and beer. Otherwise, passersby are free to pop in and admire the Snow White–inspired works dotting the space. While there are plenty of dwarves and witches that may have been painted around the time of the film’s release, the restaurant can confirm that only the mural above the door is from the original Disney animators. According to LA Magazine, the cafe boasts another connection to legendary children’s movies of the day: The building was designed by Carl Jules Weyl—the art director of The Adventures of Robin Hood—in 1929." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Found this place on a whem, so decided to try it. I was impressed by the quality of the food. It was fresh and very good. The service was great. Very attentive to our needs, recommended food choices and just plain out great customer service, which is honestly hard in Hollywood. However I wasn't sure why it was a Snow white Cafe when there isn't anything that really is intriguing other then the art work on the walls. Other then that it's a sports bar. Odd. But try it.. it's very good.

Google
Home made food and AMAZING SERVICE. We live around the corner and we will always be coming back.

Google
Back a Snow White after years, on Hollywood Boulevard, right on the “Hollywood Walk of Fame”. I highly recommend this hidden gem! From a bacon and egg breaky, to a stellar steak with a PINT, or a NY style pizza. 5 stars+++ from me. Despite being from down-under I’m sure i’ll be back here again. GIVE EM A TRY. 🦘🦘👍🍺🍺🍺😎🦘🦘 ⭐️🌟⭐️🌟⭐️

Google
No, no, no. This place is off and the food is the definition of “MEH”. Thankfully the prices are decent. It’s always a pet peeve of mine when a restaurant make dishes with ingredients not listed on the menu; the salad had so many unwanted ingredients added and a few of the ones I wanted missing lol The art is cool to see, but I’d definitely only stop in for a drink and eat elsewhere.

Google
I walked in because it was quaint and there was chaos outside—the after COVID crowd. The bar area was still closed but I was able to grab a seat to just people watch. I wasn’t really impressed with the chicken sandwich but I did love the French fries. Great beer though!!! What intrigued me the most, was the history of this place. It’s quite interesting. The bartender was very nice and informative. Plus, he handled a rude person outside very nice. Cool place. Really liked it.

If you want to getaway from this SUPER touristy area, this historic place is great little quick escape. You’ll find casual eats at a great price! I arrived before the dinner kitchen was open, so waited at my table & people watched (perfect spot for this). My grilled chicken sandwich with fries was only $10! While I would’ve preferred the bread was toasted (it stuck to the roof of my mouth when I ate), the inside of the sandwich was substantial AND delicious! Good crispy light fries - no grease! I will definitely come here again. (find me on Instagram @aida.loves )

1 guy running the entire restaurant and 1 cook, but wasn’t even that busy maybe 3 other small parties of 2 present. Sat down and no one greeted us for about 5-10 minutes. Then took our order but forgot to ask for drinks. Half the party (2/4) of us got our food and finished eating before the other half even got theirs. don’t waste your time or money here got across the street to something else. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Kimmy A.

Google
Burger was great but don’t go for the pasta or pizza!! We were a group and ordered a little bit of everything. The only good was the burger with fries - it was great! And the Stella sider was amazing!

Darren J.

Yelp
KD is the best bartender in all of Hollywood. Pop in and say hi. Disney love galore. DO NOT Miss this place.

Emma S.

Yelp
Giving 1 star for the Snow White decor. It would have been zero stars if not for the murals/"paintings" We entered the restaurant and never had anyone come over to seat us, give us a menu, address us.... NOTHING! We sat at a table that hadn't been wiped down. A football game was on and was EXTREMELY LOUD! I never dreamed that the Snow White Cafe would be a sports bar! Would DEFINITELY not recommend! Just pop your head in to see the drawings and then go somewhere else to eat!

Yelp
Great bar food, icy cold beer in huge mugs! Friendly staff, quirky snow white themed bar.

Jj B.

Yelp
Our server was fantastic and the food was comforting and tasty. Adorable art on the walls made for a cute visit.

Gabriella P.

Yelp
The chicken soup with rice was served steaming hot and was delicious. (I added a little salt, pepper and lemon) It has slices of celery and chunks of chicken breast. The staff is courteous and offered nice conversation.

hanna m.

Yelp
It definitely wasn't the worst place I've ever eaten but I wouldn't stop by again. Food was alright but only one server so there's a long wait time. Thankfully the server was very polite and stayed on top of drinks and letting us know wait times.

Alona M.

Yelp
Reading some of the reviews here made me really question how it can be the same restaurants. This is a literally whole in a wall place. Sticky tables. One server for enter place. My food was taking forever to be brought to the table. I waited over an hour for a pizza that tasted like it was a frozen pizza. Fried onion rings were alright but they still tasted super plain. French fries for so flavorless and boring. Not worth it. The atmosphere is kinda weird because it cause Disney characters all over the walls but the bar does not match to the art or theme.

Stefanny B.

Yelp
Love the decor of this place , since I am a Disney lover , the pizza was good and wow 5 dollar beer , will definitely come back.

Crystal G.

Yelp
As life would have it the yelps elite big tour bus Experience parks right in front of this café. In case you can't tell by my profile picture I am obsessed with snow white! She's only my favorite! I never even noticed it. I must've walked this street 1 million times. It literally took for me to get on a two story bus to realize my favorite snow white was staring at me. All I know is I looked over and there she was. I was so excited to come back and enter the Snow White Café . After entering I realized it feels a lot more like a bar but I know they have food. It was so amazing just seeing all the beautiful artwork all over the walls. You have no idea how happy It made me ! I'm seriously considering having my birthday party here. Maybe a costume party snow white theme. so cute!

Maggie H.

Yelp
The two stars are for good staff, ambiance, and prices on Hollywood Boulevard. It's all much needed there. It had plenty of space for a late lunch during a film festival. Film festivals involve many hungry people with little time to eat between screenings. We were just passing by and had to give them a try. We each ordered two slices of pizza and an Angry Orchard. I'm not much of a cider person, but film festivals bring out the exotic... well, I guess the less exotic nature. There I was, in a place that calls itself a "cafe" that is so more of a pub, chilling in a cool and dim space, looking at great Snow White murals, dishing with my friend I hadn't seen in over six months, between a screening with a Disney animator and one of my favorite wartime dramas, sipping on an apple drink and looking for an evil queen. The cider was safe. It was the pizza that was sketch. See below for my sermon. Bathroom is up a flight of stairs. Not sure if there is an accessible option downstairs as well. I would hope so. Service was fast. Place was clean. I liked it. I like the place enough to try again next time I'm on Hollywood Blvd. ********** Now begins the pizza review. All of the rest of the review will be pizza. If you aren't ordering pizza, you can stop here. Disclaimer: There are many ways to make a pizza. I don't always love them all. I don't always like them. I'd rather had tried a more ambitious pizza that failed spectacularly in some respect than a "meh" pizza that tasted like nothing. Those are difficult to eat because you've exchanged money and you're taking on the calories and you're probably hoping for a taste highlight of the day. Well, this may be the worst pizza I've had in my adult life, and I have ordered many a pizza. It's like what would have happened had Chuck E. Cheese decided their pizza was too expensive and quality, so they went with a random frozen pizza that your grocer couldn't sell twice to the same customer. I wished it had been as good as a Totino's... and I'd rather skip a meal than eat a Totino's pizza. I never liked school lunch pizzas because they just tasted so wrong. I am proudly 1/4 southern Italian and I was exposed to some homemade and lots of different restaurant pizza as a kid. This pizza was not "gross." Not under or overcooked. Just... bland as can be. So sad. Also note: This pizza didn't violate my mom's usual first rule of bad frozen restaurant pizza: cheese falls off crust. No, the cheese adhered to the crust. It was just... so bland and cardboardy. Almost no flavor. My friend barely got halfway through her pizza. I ate most of the way to the crust because I knew we had a long day ahead of us and I didn't want to feel sick in the heat. I'm suspecting from these reviews that speak well of the pizza that either I got some leftovers from antiquity or that whole pies are made not only fresh but also possibly from a different pizzamaker. The reviews that speak poorly of the pizza... did you all order it by the slice as well? And did you order after the main lunch rush? Epilogue: I went to La Antica Pizzeria da Michele, which is walking distance from Snow White Cafe, the next day. I needed to recover. It was not a perfect pizza experience, but there was such flavor.

Scott A.

Yelp
Stopped in on a whim to grab lunch. It was "okay" I guess. Had a quesadilla which I figured was simple enough. Tasted okay but was served with marinara sauce and sour cream. . Marinara sauce?? On a quesadilla? Weird and honestly not a good combination. My wife had the Mediterranean Sandwich and it looked pretty good. She was happy with it.

Vincent C.

Yelp
Reasonable good food although my first choice, Lamb Chops, were not available so I had Half Grilled Chicken that was served with a fresh Chop Salad, and Crispy French Fries. The Chicken was moist and tasty have a garlic marinated taste. I had an ice cold beetroot accompanying my dinner plate. My server was excellent.

Kristy N.

Yelp
Cute pictures on the wall , the quality of the food terrible and the service is slow......

Erickeishia B.

Yelp
Very delicious. Great prices. Server was awesome! Nice artwork. I will be returning when I'm in Hollywood.

Miranda B.

Yelp
Stopped here with a friend because we needed some quick and easy before going to a film screening. There were only a few people in here so we figured we could get our food in a reasonable amount of time. We both ordered the lunch special of beer and a slice of pizza. I ordered the Angry Orchid cider and pepperoni pizza. I thought the pizza was going to be New York style but instead it was...I don't know what, but it was not good. I ate it because I needed some food in me, but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone.

Sam L.

Yelp
Trust the reviews. Wish we did. If you have hours to spare, by all means, come in. But if you're expecting a quick bite, this place is not it. Food is averageish. The guy working is doing his best but need to hire more staff.

Jessica D.

Yelp
Honestly the only good thing about this place was the murals. We arrived at the opening time and were told they wouldn't be ready to seat us for at least another 20 mins. Then once we were sat we ordered pizza and were told it would take about 20 mins (no biggie), we ordered apps which took about 20 mins to come out to us and were mediocre at best. Then the waitress that we hardly ever saw came with 2 slices of pizza when we ordered a whole pizza. When I asked she blatantly cussed in front of my kids saying she must have f*cked up and would get us our pizza. We waited another 30 mins and still no pizza. Needless to say we left and never got our pizza. Also lots of shady people coming in, going into the back of the restaurant and leaving with no food or drink. Don't bring your kids, heck just don't bother going at all.

Erika K.

Yelp
This place is the best place I've EVER been, K is the best girl ever, I e came in for one shot and left with 8 shots. Amazing mozzarella sticks and amazing service we love.

Georgia V.

Yelp
The food and service were good. The ambiance was amazing. Just wished it carried to the restrooms which were so so. The stairs to the restroom are steep and narrow.

Osc P.

Yelp
The food and service was impeccable! The ambiance is the cherry on top! Great spot to come feel like a local and have great food. The server with the short curly hair and tattoos compliments the overall experience.

Honey G.

Yelp
The curly hair girl makes this spot a 5 star experience. The food and drinks are good; the service is the best! Great spot to feel at home!

Joe H.

Yelp
The beer was cheap. The food was solid. The bartender was nice and fast. The decor was fun and on-theme. Overall a great experience and would go back again. Shockingly affordable for a tourist-trap neighborhood.

The Best Y.

Yelp
I went here thinking it was going to be a cute little Disney themed cafe. I walked in and it was a straight up dive bar in the middle of Hollywood!! . The food took a while to come out, but it was worth it for the salad. However, my drink, a water, took 20 minutes to come out. Yet, a beer took 2 minutes. Alcohol seems to be the specialty here. We also got a pizza, the crust tasted like sand paper from my high school art class. There were several pictures of snowwhite. However, she looks high in all of the pictures. The server/bartender was also using a Electronic cigarette while seating us. Very rude.

J B.

Yelp
My fav bar ever! An original homey place. Justin is the best. Snow White imagery is a plus. Have we talked about the Steins?!

Al Arevalo's A.

Yelp
I had the most incredible time in this establishment, in large part thanks to Julian, the bartender. Not only was he exceedingly friendly, but he took the time to talk to everyone, helping create a warm & welcoming environment at all times. The food was great, and the cost for a brew was beyond reasonable. I can't wait to find my way back there ASAP. So if you're in the Hollywood area, and want to have the best time, you've got to try this place. You just won't regret it! Al

Keith M.

Yelp
Excellent bar. Perfect ambiance. Fucking great music. A Hollywood staple. When you order a beer, tell them you want a large. Also, it's located in the very center of everything cool.

Justine S.

Yelp
Adam only grabbed a quick beer here but it was huge! And only 7$US if I remember correctly. I liked the theme of Snow White. The waiter was also very nice. It's well located on the Hollywood Boulevard. "Worth it for the beer" - Adam 2017

Rick W.

Yelp
Always a great time, really good acoustics with the sort of tall & narrow wood layout and usually good music, club covers not too much top 40 and maybe music video or sports center on the 2 or 3 TVs. A few outside tables have just enough cozy space to smoke and have a 34 oz double trouble draft on the Walk of Fame, northeast corner of Holly & HighLAnd. Have not yet brought my appetite to try the food but remember a few unique items I would like to from a brief skin of the menu

Ingrid Elena P.

Yelp
iWe really wanted to try this place, to eat even we were waiting 2 hours before they open at 12:02 but it was just a waste. Of time the guy who was working there he ignored us, and he didn't wanted to open the door, he just say in one hour more We will open the hour. So from 12:02 pm the open time to 1 pm. Very unprofessional, and bad service this happen yesterday. And why put a a time that they will not be open. And also Very slow people working too

Alma M.

Yelp
The food was ok. My son ordered the steak but they had no steak so he just ordered mazarella sticks and I ordered the beef ravioli. The ravioli was a little too bland and needed something to give it more flavor. The service was fast and wasn't busy for a Saturday night.

Nooshi B.

Yelp
I'm going to guess that the seven dwarfs took the day off when I was visiting this place because it was SO hot inside, they must not have had the AC on. This was quite unfortunate because we stopped in to escape the heat and grab a drink. My dream of an ice cold gin and tonic was stopped short because we were told they only serve beer and wine. Well, damn. Needless to say, given the endless bars in the neighborhood, I'll be enjoying my gin and tonic elsewhere. I hope they start serving hard alcohol soon because I actually enjoy the theme of the bar and would like to come back soon. I'll say that service was good and the slice of pizza we ordered was great, the crust was perfectly crispy.

Annette B.

Yelp
This place has a fun history and one original panel done by the animators of Snow White. The staff member working there was pretty cold and the inside of the place could be brightened up to really show off the interior.

Cemile L.

Yelp
Highly recommend . Diverse menu, reasonably priced and professional staff: Random hours so call before you visit.

Matt G.

Yelp
Food is insanely good. We travel to here from RIVERSIDE! The mozzarella is next level here as well as the fresh mozzarella sandwich. Not to mention the service is just great. Friendly and always remember us. Can't recommend this gem enough.

Julie S.

Yelp
Ambiance is a bit weird, but the pizza is fantastic. More NY style than most pizzas around here. The chicken Caesar was also legit.

Cristen G.

Yelp
We stopped here for lunch on a weekend. We took advantage of the $7 lunch special- a beer and a slice of pizza. The deal is only for a slice of pepperoni, cheese, or veggie pizza. For the beer, you get Amber Bock, Shock Top, Coors Light, Michelob Ultra, Budweiser, or Bud Light to choose from although they have lots of other beers not included in the lunch special. Unfortunately, I had to put wayyyy too much red pepper flake and Parmesan cheese to give the pizza any flavor. But like the fatty I am, I ate the whole slice. Who wastes pizza, even if it's technically a hot circle of garbage? For it being a Saturday midday, they weren't busy at all, which I liked since it's so close to the main tourist spots on Hollywood Blvd. I'm only here on vacation, but given the chance to come back I'll pass.

Nik J.

Yelp
A hidden gem in the heart of Hollywood Boulevard. This is a very no-frills place to go if you want decent atmosphere, good value, and friendly service. Went here before an event and had the half-chicken plate which was nice and crispy with a generous amount of fries. The coffee was also really good. My friend got the breakfast burrito and coffee combo for $6.95 and it was a big burrito. It's also a novelty to be surrounded by Snow White art all around you. This is a good choice if you want somewhere low-key to eat outside of the Hollywood and Highland complex and McDonald's.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
We ordered the tuna sandwich with fries. Which was so delicious! We were really impressed by the server, Josh. He was SUCH AN AMAZING WAITER. very polite and kind. Great customer service. One of the best we've seen in a while. Definitely be back. And Joshua better be our server! Give that man a raise. One of a kind.

Gabe O.

Yelp
Stopped in here while walking Hollywood. Saw a sign for a burger, fries, & a beer for $10. So we decided to check it out and was not disappointed. The bartender, Austin was very polite and attentive. We opted for the higher quality IPA beers instead of the beer included in the deal and also added cheese to our burgers. Overall, the meal was fine and the beer was delicious. The decor in the establishment was interesting...as you would imagine, there is a lot of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs art artwork. The bill came out to $33 for two of the specials with beer and cheese upgrades. So in all, the place and meal with drinks were a nice choice for our lunch.

Dana D.

Yelp
First for the positive... They have good food and (for the area) their prices are pretty good. Now for the not so positive... Their website says they open at 9am. Well they don't. I don't know when they open. The bar tender told me 10am. I went there at 10:15am and they still weren't open. I've been there before at 11am and they weren't open. So basically they just open whenever the hell they feel like it. Oh, and if you walk by and the door is open, that doesn't mean they are open. I work in the area (I've been in the area for 8 years) and I know the local business' well. This one I will avoid since they can't even figure out their own hours. And I don't like walking in the place (with their door wide open) and getting yelled at that they aren't open.

Pekelo L.

Yelp
Very small bar/restaurant... Beer is good... Vibes is good... Nice if you wanna not be in a big bar and prefer a tighter small but very cool dive bar/restaurant ...

Amanda S.

Yelp
32 ounce beers for $7 ... yes, I will take that! In the midst of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Blvd there is a place that is A-ok to rest your feet and chill out with big beer. They don't have much of a selection, but they have Blue Moon on tap and serve it up with an orange. We didn't have any food here, but they do have a good menu. If you need a spot to escape for a bit and grab a drink then slip in here.

Janey E.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in here for the unique history this place has, but we keep coming back for the solid and cheap food. First, let's talk about how weird it is that a random dive bar in Hollywood has murals of Disney's first princess, and ones that were painted by the original Disney artists. The pizza was super delicious, if a little greasy, and really cheap! The staff is hit or miss. One time we had a waitress who totally ignored us, another time we had one who was very nice an attentive.

James S.

Yelp
A bonafide Hollywood joint that makes you feel glad you're there. Forget the chains, forget the touristy clap-trap, and slide right in. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, Happy Hour, they have it covered. I've been a couple times, and it's a nice little place adorned with Snow White characters n stuff, however, this is not The Disney Cafe or anything. It's pleasant, low-key dive, and I say 'dive' with affection. The food is fine in my limited experience. Sure, the sandwiches and burgers look like probably the way to go. But I took a different path. The chicken breast with the potato au gratin plus veggies was simple, reasonable and pretty darn tasty. (Potato described differently, in creamy sauce) Friendly staff, chill clientele, and someplace you might easily miss. They've been that way, I guess, since 1946. The vintage art-work alone elevates the cafe to Four Stars. Still, the bar and kitchen know how to work it. Heigh Ho. Let's Go.

Allison R.

Yelp
Great location! I was doing a big bus tour and this place was a perfect stop! 2 slices of pizza(small slices) and a beer cost $7. The price was great, the location was great and the service was good, but the food was nothing special. The original Snow White artwork was really cool to see

Noah B.

Yelp
Got the happy hour $7 pepperoni pizza with a beer. Not a bad selection of beer included in the $7 price, got shock top. Pepperoni slice was like two small slices so one regular slices. pizza was just okay, tasted like 7-Eleven Pizza. Definitely could have been frozen and just reheated. Price is right

Chris M.

Yelp
The bartender was cool but busy being the waiter as well!!!! This place provides great bar food cooked the way I like it... Wings that are hot with sauce but the skin is not as I call limp!!!! The quesadillias were cooked perfectly & the Pickle Platter was too cool I ate it all..... Customer Service---- excellent

Yelp
Very adorable restaurant. I was attracted to the restaurant as soon as I passed by. The spaghetti was a bit bland but overall good service.

Yelp
Came here with a friend on a Saturday night. AMBIANCE: 3 STARS The bar was pretty EMPTY but it was still a very good vibe. There was about 6 others. The bar is kind of divey but not really because its right on Hollywood Blvd and Highland. The bar is decorated in Snow White art and such. BEVERAGES: 5 STARS I ordered a large Newcastle. WOW was it huge. It took me a good half hour to finish. Best part was that it was only $7!!! LOCATION: 3.5 STARS Good that it's on Hollywood Blvd. If you're lucky you can find street parking on the streets behind. Otherwise you can pay $10-$30 SERVICE: 5 STARS It was empty so of course the service was fast. Restrooms were clean but a little janky.
