After reading a number of negative recent reviews, all by people who had gone to the lodge many years ago, I was nervous about going here with my spouse for our anniversary. I can't say how things were when those other reviewers visited, but the place was wonderful for us. The accommodations were good (not super fancy but the bed and pillows were very comfortable and we really enjoyed having a private two person hot tub). The food was great! Service was very good, and it was just gorgeous and relaxing up there in the mountains with amazing views. We went on a hike in the nearby national forest and took the lodge's paddle boards out on Lake Santeetlah. We barely saw any other people or even structures on the lake! All around, it was just what we were looking for, a relaxing getaway with lots of nature and adventure options.

We had a five star experience. The food was amazing, over the top really. The staff was tight knit and deeply caring. The accommodations were comfortable. It was luxurious with lots to do at the lodge and nearby. We totally loved it.

We could not have asked for a better getaway. The staff and the property are exceptional. Rosa and Taz went above and beyond. Blue was an exceptional bartender. Dinner was incredible. We will absolutely return.

So my wife and I visited this past weekend. First and foremost, this lodge is falsely advertising as all inclusive. Alcohol is additional costs, and quite expensive at that. The staff was friendly, but didn’t seem to go out of their way to help you. You would have to ask for virtually everything. I feel the cost and services don’t necessarily align… food was exceptional! Compliments to the chef. Blue (hope I’m spelling that correctly) is an awesome individual and good bartender. The room was very nice, but again, price and value don’t really align. If you aren’t familiar with the area, do your research in advance… cell service is very limited in the area and with staff that wasn’t overwhelmingly helpful, it can be a slow go. Lastly, due to our drive, we wanted to check out earlier, and in advising the desk of our intent, they seemed like it was a major adjustment to their norm and had no idea how to handle the change, lol. This place is not all inclusive and the bar is expensive; buyer be ware!

Absolutely lovely stay at the lodge! It was our first time here and we will definitely be back. Staff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. And the food was really delicious! There's beautiful hiking all around the area, or if you're just looking for a place to disconnect and relax, the lodge is a wonderful place to do that too.

Google
My wife and I just stayed there based on finding it online and having great reviews. As others said, it might be misleading to call it "All inclusive" as I believe most people, myself included, would say all inclusive means food and alcohol. That being said paying for a few cocktails wasn't the end of the world because the quality of the drinks were worth it. I would also argue that most places you go with the quality of food that SML served would also likely have similarly priced cocktails. The staff was great and I felt they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and special. Taz as the Resort Host does it all, and does it all very well. Rosa at the front desk and assisting with serving also was great and the bartender Blue was also fantastic to speak and interact with. All of the other staff was equally delightful. The rooms are nice and had all of the expected luxuries, we enjoyed the paddleboards and kayaks as well. The staff was more than happy to share ideas of things to do in the area that were all enjoyable. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend with great food and great service this is a great place for you. If you are expecting to waited on hand and foot and have a spa and country club experience this may not be your cup of tea, but I would challenge anyone not to enjoy the beauty of what the area has to offer with better accommodations.

My husband, sister, brother-in-law, mom, and I celebrated my mom's 80th birthday at Snowbird Mountain Lodge because it had been a special place for my mom and dad for many years. SML went above and beyond from the second we arrived. Rosa greeted us so warmly and made my mom feel really special, and we adored every conversation we had with her. Taz (sp?) took great care of us, and we all hugged at the end because she and the staff there felt like family. Blue made delicious drinks and was so friendly. The meals were divine, we are still talking about them - kudos to the chef! We already can't wait to come back. It's such a special place!

This was our second time at snowbird lodge. I have to say I enjoyed this time more under the new ownership. Some changes for sure, but overall friendly staff who cared, good food, clean rooms and of course the beautiful location.

Yelp
We had a magical evening dining at snowbird after our lake elopement. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day and we were blown away by our dining experience. Right from the start we were greeted by Rosa who immediately made us feel right at home with her warmth and humor. Chef Andrew is an incredible talent. Everything was just extraordinarily delicious! We started with a very yummy chili with cornbread followed by the best pork belly we have had with a yummy almond butter sauce (lord!!) and then finished it off with perfectly cooked flatiron steaks with yummy cowboy butter! Oh and Chef even brought us some crispy cilantro rice that was also just a masterpiece of flavors. I don't know how many times I stopped during our meal to exclaim "this is SO GOOD" ....but it was many. That was the food- the people and service were as if not more impressive. Taz, the innkeeper who served us was incredibly kind and friendly and even brought us a complimentary champagne toast, which was so nice and appreciated! Again Rosa was hilarious and so sweet to us and then we met Shannon who brought us our desserts at the end of our meal and also made us feel like old friends. It was so over the top good that I feel we will be forever spoiled! We definitely will be coming back to stay. Many thanks again

Yelp
My Husband, me along with 3 other couples, spent December 30 to January 2 at the Snowbird Lodge. We all stayed in the lovely Chestnut Lodge with the inviting stone fireplace, steam shower, and deck with a private hot tub. It was our second visit. One couple's third and first time for other two. The first time we stayed at the lodge it was privately owned and has since been sold to The Indigo Group. I am sad to say that with the sale service has suffered. No more warm reception or personal attention. The bartender was a delight and the wait staff while young was enthusiastic but the management and reception staff left much to be desired. Our room was clean and comfortable with some nice touches but we didn't get maid service on New Year's Day which would be ok if we had been notified or an apology had been offered when I brought up the trash and champagne glasses. Our dinner on 12/30 was delicious but NYE the food was cold and left a lot to be desired. I sent mine back to be heated. They did have a nice selection of desserts set up in the main living room and put effort into the decorations. If I hadn't visited the Snowbird prior to the sale, I probably would overlook the lack of service and chalk it up to the holidays but having been there before .. not so much. Honestly not sure if I'll give it another shot.

Yelp
Beautiful property. Great Bar and great food. Robert is as professional and friendly a bartender as you can hope for and Melissa, our server for dinner, was exceptional as well.

Yelp
Perfect place to relax and soak up the surrounding natural beauty! Honestly, this is probably one of the most relaxing vacations I've been on in a long time. We hiked at Joyce Kilmer, paddled a little on Lake Santeetlah, and lounged in all the cozy spots around the property. The all-inclusive rate provided delicious meals with plenty of variety. Service was consistent and thoughtful. I think this lodge is a hidden gem and we look forward to returning.

Yelp
So while this amazing Retreat is cited as $$$$ one must look deeper. First, the rate is all inclusive except for alcohol. Rate includes 3 meals per day , one of which is an AMAZING packed lunch for excursion stuff. Just sayin'. Zach, the new ownership leader is on it like a cheap suit. Accommodations are top shelf, sanitation trade is 100, staff is pleasant and on their game. If you want to relax there is no location in W Carolina mountains that will exceed. Oh, how could I forget...... I didn't. Dawnie is the bomb-a-licious. She will bust her hump to make your decompression stay nothing but chill. Carlos rocks the dining room with smiles. If ya wanna chill, enjoy nature, hike, kayak, paddle board, fly fish or just get down in chill town.....this is a hot spot for it. Can't wait to return and try more of Indigo Group's props.

Sadie T.

Yelp
My husband and I have stayed this resort for years, but only under the previous ownership of a couple who cared for it like one of their children. Now it's under new ownership, with changes in food, ambience, and hospitality that make me think we won't go back. The historic lodge is gorgeous, and the view is unparalleled, but everything depends on hosts who are up to the challenge of making guests feel at home, welcomed, and cared for.

Yelp
There are no words to describe how wonderful our stay was at Snowbird was. We heard about the Lodge thru friends who knew of our love for hiking and good food and wine and told us we had to visit. (They we're so right) From our arrival we were so impressed, we arrived and were taken right away to our room in the Chestnut Lodge. Our room was beautiful and the private porch and hot tub were amazing. We were fortunate to arrive on the night of a wine dinner, which was nothing short of phenomenal. We were greeted with champagne and a meet and greet and then an amazing 5 course meal with wine pairings. The next morning we hiked to the Lodges sunrise point and watched a beautiful sunrise then had the most amazing breakfast and then headed off to hike. (Snowbird packs a lunch for you each day, which you choose at dinner the night before.) The hot tub was welcome after a long day of hiking and dinner every night was amazing. The Inn Keepers Robert and Mandy and the entire staff were so attentive. Every single person who we came in contact with who worked at the Lodge was amazing. Did I mention the amazing selection of wines???!!! I could go on and on. Before we left we booked for the same time next year!!!! If that doesn't say it all I don't know what does. Thanks for a much much needed restful weekend! This busy Mom and Dad don't get much time away but this was so so good for the soul. Counting down the days until our next visit.

Mark T.

Yelp
They get 1 star for the amazing view. The customer service was non-existent. They didn't seem to care if you enjoyed your stay or not. The food was terrible. It's as if they made it Monday and threw it in the microwave to bring it out to you on Saturday. The lobster bisque was lobster sludge and my wife had to send her steak back twice for being raw. Everything at dinner tasted pre-cooked. For breakfast we were hoping that you can't mess up breakfast, but they found a way. Biscuits that were probably made three days prior, runny eggs, and very odd oily bacon. It's obvious that this establishment needs an executive chef that cares about the quality of food that they are serving. Surprised this property is owned by Indigo Road management and they haven't stepped in to make changes.

Mike R.

Yelp
We were there on 9/9 and 9/10. The views are great; however, the stay was not. The regular bartender was not working and the person trying to fill in didn't know how to make a basic cocktail. The service in the restaurant was not good, as our food was given to another couple. They served my food in order to "keep it from getting cold" but my wife's meal was delayed by at least 15 minutes. For the cost of the accommodations including food, you expect a more elaborate menu. From others that have stayed here in the past, it's just not the same as it was before the sale to the corporate owner.

Yelp
We stayed at the lodge on our 50th anniversary in June, 2022, for the first time. The room we selected turned out to be on the first floor in the noisiest location in the building. When asked about the possibility of a room available on the second floor, the lady at the front desk rudely told me "SIR, THAT is the room you chose!" No rooms available. That said, next day after a cancellation we were able to move to a quieter room. Another incident left a bad first impression. First morning there I ordered a bowl of oatmeal, one of the breakfast entrés compared to several full breakfasts. I asked if I could add a bowl of yogurt and the waitress said she would have to charge $7.00. At these prices!? I finally got my yogurt at no charge. Just off to a bad start. I understand they were short staffed at the time, which had both owners Mandy and Robert bussing tables. On a positive note, Mandy arranged for an elegant bouquet of flowers upon arrival and was always exceptionally nice. Debating whether to return now that the lodge is under new ownership. The views are spectacular and we loved hiking the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest.

Yelp
I have not yet stayed at this resort and based upon my phone conversation with Robert, I am not sure I ever would. I contacted Snowbird Mountain Lodge with questions regarding booking a long weekend for next fall. My questions were met with snarky responses and a terrible attitude from Robert. Totally unacceptable customer service from what looks to be an upscale resort. Very disappointing!

Yelp
Been coming here for years. The views are breathtaking and the staff exceptional. Food is superb and better than it has always been. Cleaning service great and the property upkeep is phenomenal. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to recharge and re-emerging themselves.

Yelp
The views alone are worth 5 stars. The enclosed screen deck with gas fireplace is worth the 5 stars. The food. Oh my! Frank the head chef, and his crew - create food that is as engrossing as the views. The atmosphere screams authentic. The main fireplace, the dining room, the swings, the viewing deck. Just beautiful. The rooms. We stayed in the wolf cottage. Not 5 Star - maybe 4. We spent a lot of time there. Exceedingly comfortable. Used the hot tub many many times. And oh the views. Did a little hiking both on and off ground. Wanted to do more. So much to see and do. Solid WiFi. From main lodge to our cabin. Yes, it's a higher price point. Is it worth it? Yep. Relaxing, enjoyable. And 3 nights was not enough. We'll be back. 7/2/18 When your heart longs to stay. When your mind fights a return home. When your desire is to add another night and another hike. You know you've found somewhere special. No TVs. No electronic noise. Blissful. Romantic. Quiet. Rejuvenating. How many superlatives can I add without being cliche? This. Is. The. Place. Second stay in 6 months. We'll be back. And we'll bring other friends with whom to share it!

Yelp
Didn't stay there but had dinner over memorial day weekend. The place was incredibly beautiful and my group was blown away by the views. Unfortunately, the food and service were awful. Dinner for one person, which was pre-fixe was $75 so close to $100 after service charge, etc. The grits were sticky, the salmon dry and no California wines. I would return in a heartbeat but only if they replace the chef and get a better wait staff.

Bill G.

Yelp
The best meals we've had at any lodge. From Eggs Benedict in the morning to Ravioli in a mushroom remoulade for dinner. We hiked 12 miles a day and gained 5 pounds... Everyone was great and all is covered under one price. Would recommend the Lodge to anyone...

Loren W.

Yelp
we paid approximately 200$ for 2 of us for a 3 course meal. the worst meal I have ever had. the wedge salad was ok but hard to screw that up. the salmon was over cooked and no taste. I had to send the dessert back . Now on a positive note, the place is gorgeous!! Too bad the food is sub standard and a complete waste of money.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for dinner and enjoyed the idyllic, peaceful grounds before our reservation. We ordered the ginger and carrot soup which was delicious and the trout over jasmine rice. The trout was caught locally and was the freshest I have ever eaten. Absolutely delicious! Next time we will come and stay at the lodge overnight and enjoy all that it has to offer.

Yelp
We stayed there for 3 days. Absolutely beautiful area. Lodge was spic and span. Great food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They pack a backpack full of food for hikes. All food is included in cost of room. The staff is first class and extremely friendly. As usual we left a couple of valuable items in our room. They were delivered to our house 3 days later!!!!! Highly recommended!!

Yelp
We purposely pinpointed a March 2nd return (after multiple outstanding visits in 2020) to celebrate what would have been my late mother's 100th birthday. May sound strangely nostalgic perhaps..but there is no more hospitable and happy place than Snowbird (SML) for such a moment-capture. A preface/kicker: I wanted to underscore the occasion by recreating the making of Mom's once-in-a-while fave libation - the classic Manhattan. Not the 21st Century bourbon version. No, had to be the 1960s rye whisky rendition. So...with ingredients in hand we checked in and once again immediately became immersed in SML's atmospherics of accommodating ambience. The ever-enthusiastic Ginny had to put on the mixologist's cap...amidst my reminding her there was "no pressure...the MOMhattan just has to be perfect!" So...whisky, sweet vermouth, bitters...(stirred)... garnished with maraschino cherry (with stem)...Presto! Bravo Ginny and Happy 100th, Mom. From there we experienced another three nights of SML's legendary largesse of comfort, cordiality and culinary creativity. At this point a special note of recognition and thanks to Chef Chris and the restaurant Team for three delightful dining experiences. I confess to happily haranguing Chris since last November's visit to find some swordfish...grilled his way. I can sum it up with this: Succulent Success. Further, every course (four each evening) was inventive, flavor-full and served with understated elegance. For 2021, "Improving on an already-masterpiece"...Snowbird's two management/visionaries, Robert and Mandy, have added a "Forest Chapel" adjacent to the main building. Guests now have a spectacular setting to mark a moment, make a memory, enhance a special occasion...and no doubt there are other creative expressions waiting to be expressed. "Serenity" Mountain Lodge just became more...well, serene. And by all means set your alarm, weather allowing, to witness the birth of a new day from Sunrise Point. Suntisfaction guaranteed! Our past reviews have mentioned the esprit de corps that infuses Snowbird. In our opinion here is how that esprit is defined: "GinnyAdaJacobCatrinaJenniferPaigeAnnaAmyCrystalPeteJRChristopherMikeRichKyleStaceyBreeKaitlinKadeyAustinJasonDanielleButch" It just would not happen without People first; and the Robert-Mandy leadership duo continue to make sure their personnel are valued. That's why Snowbird Mountain Lodge has not only survived but thrived amidst the ugh-enduring challenge of COVID-19. Congratulations to all...and we will see you again in May.

Yelp
We booked a long weekend at Snowbird Mountain Lodge after seeing a story about it on WUNC's, "NC Weekend." Located near Nantahala National Forest, the Cherokee National Forest, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park it is a perfect long weekend getaway. Be warned tho, it is a six hour ride from Raleigh. Your daily rate includes three meals a day (one being a picnic lunch in a backpack or paper sack) and use of a wide variety of sporting, fishing and boating equipment. Hiking, kayaking, and biking are all close by. The lodge is a beautiful building of post and beam constructed in the early 1940s. Rooms are spotless, wood paneled, fairly small, and offer great views of the mountains. It is definitely a place to relax as there are no TVs or telephones... The dining experience is described as rustic and elegant and it is exactly that. The cooked to order breakfasts were excellent. We had eggs benedict one morning, pancakes the next and a veggie omelet the third. The sack lunches were very good. You had a choice of four or five different sandwiches each day (including home made pimento cheese spread) along with chips, a pickle and a home made cookie. The four course dinners were very nice. Each evening you get the choice of a beef, chicken, fish and pork entree. I think the highlight was the local trout. Excellent! They have an excellent wine list, local beer on tap and a great selection of single malt scotch. The bartender is excellent! He free pours a mean drink. Be sure to pay him a visit. We visited over the 4th of July weekend and never felt crowded. The large main room and many porches/decks all offered great mountain views and inviting spots to relax. It was definitely a nice getaway.

Yelp
Spent the weekend at Snowbird Mountain Lodge over July 4th and had a wonderful visit. Snowbird is located about as far West as you can get in North Carolina near Robbinsville. Accommodations range from rooms in the main lodge to creek-side cabins and cottages. Prices include all meals and the meals are good. During our stay breakfasts consisted of one main course such as an omelet or pancakes and then several sides such as bacon and grits. There were cereals, fruits, and yogurts also available in a buffet style. Sitting out on the porch was a great way to enjoy breakfast. Lunches are packed and ready for pickup each morning for you to take out on your daily adventure. The lunch includes a sammie, and you can add pickles, chips, fruit and cookies if you desire. The sandwich choices included a cucumber creamcheese on wheatberry that was excellent and an old fashion PB&J that was enjoyable after our hike. The amount of food and size of the sandwiches is sure to quell any post morning hiking activities and induce a blissful early afternoon nap. Dinner menu had a choice of beef, pork, chicken, fish or vegetarian that changed up daily. Each day the menu changes but includes these main meats. We enjoyed homemade lobster ravioli, steaks, mountain trout, and pork schnitzel - everything was delicious. You do not have to stay at Snowbird to eat in the restaurant, I believe the price fixed menu was about $35 per person. The food was good and the digs relaxing and beautiful - I would come back for another visit!

Yelp
The place is everything it says it is in the ads, both written and TV. Nothing seems to be over looked. The owner made the round of tables at supper each night. The breakfast and supper dining was very good with several choices to select from. The lunch in a bag was generous. The staff were all personable and helpful. The only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather and that was ok because we had great rooms with a good view or the lodge with reading and games. The cell signal for AT&T is zero or one bar. Verizon is a little better. Wifi was adequate. We will be going back as the opportunity permits. Attention to detail seems to be their motto. One other note, if you attempt to drive to the lodge using a cell phone signal and map, forget it. Satellite GPS safer.

S M.

Yelp
You cannot imagine the spectacular vistas and wonderful staff and facilities. You have to experience it in the Great Smokey's

Yelp
This was our 4th visit to the lodge, spread out over 38 years. Over that time the price has changed, (it is not cheap, but it is a good value!), and the food has changed from family style to gourmet. Since all three meals are included it is easy to indulge in the delicious choices. None of the choices are heavy, or over the top. The eggs are the freshest I have ever had (the coop is just a short walk from the kitchen). There is fresh trout as a choice on the dinner menu every night. It is an out of the way place, so a sight seeing drive through the mountains is part of getting there. Once there you can feel your stress melt away. Just being on the property is like experiencing a slice of heaven. So incredibly peaceful, quiet and beautiful. I hate to leave and return to the real world.

Michelle Y.

Yelp
Snowbird is amazing! We have been visiting for years and it never disappoints. The staff play a huge role in making us feel welcome and the rooms are just perfect. The outdoor areas as well as the indoor spaces are inviting and comfortable. We love the food and they are always accommodating to the best of their ability. I highly recommend Snowbird and will continue to visit!

Yelp
This is our 2nd visit, and last. We came in 2010 on Mother's Day wkend and it was nice but pricey for a rustic lodge with good but not great meals. I recall from the previous visit that the innkeeper, Robert Rankin, was stuck up and now, July 2012, he is the same. When I ask questions about things to do in the area he is condescending and a tad snotty. Today I went in to ask about the webcam they have and he could barely look up from his mail to answer me, in the shortest syllables possible. Sandra, the front desk lady, is also as little helpful as possible. Our dinner seating Friday nite was 7:30 and Sandra took us to a table inside. We asked for a table on the enclosed porch and she said it would take ten or fifteen minutes to get it ready. I called her bluff and said we'd wait. I glanced at my watch and 3 minutes later we were seated on the porch. At 7:30 (they stop serving at 8:30, by the way) they were already out of one of the appetizers. They bragged about the large t-bone so I ordered that. It was large sure enough, but not especially tasty or tender so I asked for steak sauce. Waitress told me they don't have any as the chef thinks the meat will stand on its own. I would think that I could be the judge of that. Bkfst this morning it took a while for my wife to get coffee and skim milk, and "fresh fruit" tasted stale and canned. Biscuits with gravy were good, scrambled eggs ok, and grits avoidable. Summary: a nice place in a nice setting but the owner and staff need to go to hospitality school to learn the meaning of hospitality, and work on friendliness.

Yelp
My husband and I have visited the Lodge at least 7 times, recently going twice a year. We have enjoyed our stays. Last month we arrived after a days drive and were informed our visit was scheduled for a week later. There was no room in the inn for us. We showed a confirmation letter that confirmed our arrival date as correct. There was no attempt to locate other accommodations for us, so we left to go home. We received no followup from Snowbird offering apology or returning our deposit. Two weeks later we called them and were told they would refund the money. My advice is to call immediately before you leave to ensure your accommodations are awaiting you.

Yelp
This was our second stop for my partner's birthday road trip. I had originally booked it because they had a firefly walk listed to coincide with his actual birthday, and because we both really wanted to see the synchronous fireflies. I double checked their activity schedule a week or so before we set off only to see it no longer listed. A call to their staff and I was informed that the original tour guide was ill, but that the lodge owner would be taking guests himself. That pretty much sums up the place, they'll do all they can in order to make your stay everything you're looking for. The food was delicious, the bartender was great and the bar was nicely stocked, and our room was exceptionally cozy. My partner called it "posh camping" because you get to go trek around in the wilderness all day, come back to a lovely steam shower, eat wonderful food, sit out looking at the gorgeous scenery and then go soak in the hot tub before crawling into bed. They even provide you with a pack lunch, maps, activities, and plenty of things for a rainy day as well. The staff was wonderful, down to Gracie the cat, who let us pet her as we watched night time fall from the front porch of the lodge. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
There is not one bad thing I would say about this special place! My husband and I spent two nights for our 11th anniversary, and this was a first time to NC. The lodge was also our first stop as we did mountains to coast, and definitely top of the list for highlights. Staff was sweet and helpful. Food was nicely presented and tasted great. Packed lunches were such a great option to have since we hiked both days on nearby trails. Room was clean and comfortable, a mix of rustic and modern. The grounds are beautifully kept, and it was almost always peaceful and quiet. Just the place we needed to get away from kids and busy life! We felt taken care of and would have stayed longer if we could have!

Yelp
Tom and I spent our 4th anniversary at the lodge on Memorial Day weekend of this year (2014) and I have nothing but glowing reviews for the staff and accommodations of Snowbird Mountain Lodge. It is well worth the money spent! We own an independent Euro repair shop in Concord, NC and the lodge was about a 4 hour drive so by the time we arrived it was almost 10pm. The staff was welcoming and eager to please when we arrived. We quickly settled into our room in Chestnut Lodge and then returned to the main lodge for the most amazing desserts and drinks before retiring for the evening. Will and Blue helped arrange our lunches for the following day and were extremely happy to help. Our bungalow was beautiful and there was even a stunning arrangement of roses and chocolates waiting for me on the bedside table that had been worked out by Tom and the staff ahead of time! We greatly enjoyed the peace and quite while soaking in the private hot tub on the balcony. The gas fireplace even comes with a remote so you can turn it on and off from the bed! The views were breathtaking and it was a welcome change from the chaos of everyday life. If you are a driver, the area is a must see! The surrounding roads are some of the best twisties you will ever find along the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon and Moonshiners 28. The staff will make sure you have maps as there is no signal along the mountain roads. I highly recommend Snowbird Lodge to anyone wanting to escape the madness and will certainly be making return trips in the future. Just to prove the hospitality of these folks, we accidentally forgot our camera battery and gopro remote plugged in the room and by the time we realized it and called the lodge, they had already mailed it back to us! These folks even offer a BMWCCA discount! We couldn't be happier with our visit and encourage everyone to check it out!

Yelp
This is a remote beautiful and spiritual place. I enjoyed the comfortable relaxed atmosphere. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. I hiked at some local parks and embraced the energy of the majestic mountains. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The food superb. There is a wonderful selection of wines and bar choices. For me, this place is a serene getaway to regroup and reenergize. Highly recommended!

Yelp
What an incredible experience! Took my wife here to celebrate our second wedding anniversary and we were wowed every step of the way. The staff was second to none. A special thank to Jacob, Ginny, Rich, Chad, Sonya and Ada. Each of you went above and beyond in different ways which all added up to an amazing week. Jacob always served us with a smile. Sonya was always so sweet and got out day started off right. Chad lent us his personal tackle and gave a tutorial on fly fishing. Ginny always greeted us with a smile and helped arrange the surprise. Rich was an absolutely incredible chef but an even better person. We enjoyed getting to know him and learn about all the amazing dishes he prepared for the evening. Last but definitely not least, Ada. Ada made our entire trip. Her work ethic and positive attitude were the talk of the lodge for our entire trip. All of the guests would comment on how amazing she was and we couldn't agree more! Thank you so much for all your hard work Ada. You are a gem and I hope you receive this feedback. Snowbird you knocked it out of the park and can't wait to visit again soon. Thank you!

Owner on site...blue Grass band on Saturday night and bartender was awesome. Enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks as a part of our stay. Have a massage with Karen she was an excellent way to start the long weekend. We will be back!
