Google
Surprised my husband for our 18th Wedding Anniversary with a 2 hour snowmobile tour. He said it was one of the greatest gifts I could have ever gotten him. The owners/staff are incredibly chill, professional and fun. They truly make you feel like you’re out in Vermont visiting distant cousins. From the views to customer service to safety and good times, don’t think twice and book your reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED !

Google
Great experience for a birthday celebration, the team were great, helpful, informative. We had a great time. Dress for extreme weather. You rather be hot than cold. Buy proper winter clothes. Rent their boots highly recommended.

Google
Super fun experience for any level of rider. My wife has never drove a snowmobile before and was able to do the 1 hour tour with no problem. It’s a great way to get on the mountain and explore if you have any people in your family or group of friends who don’t ski. Highly recommend them!!

Google
Had a ton of fun. Eli was great and very attentive, funny, cordial and knowledgeable. Between all the staff are many, many years of experience and the treatment was right. I highly recommend this business. I ran with my wife by ourselves around noon no other group or person showed up or booked a space at this time. 01/05/25

Been driving past these good people for years, so glad we finally went out for a ride with them. Had a fantastic experience with my 7 yo son from start to finish. Professional operation, friendly, patient, and clearly do everything they can to ensure you have a great time. Zero negatives only positives, thank you guys so much!

Google
Went on a 2 hour trip at 5pm. I was worried the night trip would not be good or be cold, but it was awesome! We got to see a sunset from the mountains. We had a great time and will be back for sure!!!

Google
We had the most amazing snowmobiling experience hosted by Snowmobile Vermont. Whether you are an experienced snowmobiler or trying it for the first time, you won’t be disappointed. Shoutout to Max, Isaac and River for their exceptional guide skills and making the ride so fun! You’re the best!

Google
We had an excellent experience on 2/26/25. Our guide Tito was professional and very helpful during our ride. The staff were helpful with our issues and friendly.

Yelp
10/10 absolutely recommend! The employees are super nice, the snowmobiles are astoundingly fast and cool! The only issue I may say is to check the weather. We went on the coldest day of the year in 2025, and it was horrendous. I couldn't feel my hands, toes or face. Bundle up, wear layers, bring hand and toe warmers, boots, triple socks. LAYERS ARE YOUR FRIEND! LOL. The cold is nature, the business was top quality. Klaus was really helpful and funny. This is an activity for all ages, friends, family, kids, bf and gf. Just a tip, the snowmobiles are pretty heavy and hard to drive (in my opinion).

Yelp
Really nice group. Great experience and would do it again. Felt safe, nice equipment, good staff. No negatives.

Yelp
My son and did 2 trips with Snowmobile Vermont today. We did the one hour trip and the 2 hour trip back to back. It was the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Check in was quick and easy, everyone was friendly and the sleds were in great condition. Weekley was our guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly and showed us a great time. Definitely the place to go for a great time. Money well spent!

Yelp
My wife and I booked a one hour snowmobile tour. This was our first snowmobiling experience, and Snowmobile Vermont made it a breeze. From an easy booking process, to informing us the proper clothes to wear, to a friendly check-in process, to appropriate safety instruction and awesome guides - we were in very good hands! The conditions for our tour were snowy and idyllic. Tito was an incredible guide with a ton of knowledge and personality. He kept the pace appropriately brisk. It felt like we were in a James Bond movie navigating the twists and turns of the snowy forest. The equipment was top notch with virtually new and well-maintained Polaris snowmobiles with heated handles. I would also like to give a special shout-out to Megan - who checked us in and got us fitted with boots and helmets. She has the patience of a saint and went above and beyond. For example, I had accidentally grabbed my son's ski pants and they were too tight. Megan lent me a better fitting pair at no charge - I didn't even need to ask. Vermont Snowmobile is highly recommended. We can't wait to return!

Yelp
I booked the 2-hour single snowmobile backcountry tour through the Snowmobile Vermont website. There were a few issues with snow so our tour was reduced to a hour and a half. The staff provided us with a refund and alerted us that day of the timing changes. You start out by grabbing your helmet and a short video tutorial. You're then immediately on the snowmobile and moving up through the trails. It's definitely trial by fire but it works. While I booked two single snowmobiles if I were to do it again I would book one double snowmobile for two people. It was exhausting and would have been great to switch with someone halfway through the tour. Plus, it would have been significantly less expensive as the single snowmobiles for two hours were about $200/per person. Our guide was awesome. Since it was just us two it felt like a private lesson. He was great at motivating me to go faster up & down the mountain trails and was even better at encouraging my bf to achieve those higher speeds while he whizzed through the field. It's exhausting and you should prep with cold weather clothes. If you do not have them you can rent them at the shop for a small fee. I'd absolutely recommend this tour especially if you do not have experience with snowmobiling.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for our first snowmobile experience and it was absolutely PERFECT! Klaus (I hope that's correct spelling) was hilarious and extremely patient with the riders during the introduction. Klaus as well as our guide were so helpful and kind from start to finish and made the entire ride so enjoyable. The trails were beautiful, snow mobiles were in excellent condition, and the terrain was so much fun. We would go 100 more times if we could!!!! Thank you so much Snowmobile Vermont Killington!

Yelp
A great beginner tour. We had a double which was tougher to maneuver, but managed fine. Another couple had a tougher time and wound up in a few ditches needed help. The weather was ideal with fresh snow. New machines performed well. We found that the check-in was a bit disorganized and the guide somewhat bored and disinterested at the slow pace, as we're We at times, but I had a chance to ride solo and crank up the speed in the field we stopped at which was my highlight of the day!

Yelp
Awesome experience with Snowmobile VT at Mt Snow! We had a group of 8 originally and had to adjust our reservation a couple times due to injuries. The office staff were super responsive and easy to work with. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a couple lab pups and Marc, the owner. Really enthusiastic and friendly. Went through a training video, got helmets and got out to the skis. We had two guides (Jeff and Conner) for our group and both were very personable, put safety first and made sure we had a great time! We were out for a full two hours (thank goodness for the heated handlebars!) with a few quick stops for pictures and leg stretching. Great experience and we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We did the sunset/night tour. This was amazing as it provided multiple scenic views from the sunset to starry nights.Awesome experience. Seamless reservation online, quick check in, followed by great entertainment and conversation by Tyler. Our tour guide was River who was very knowledgeable, patient, and showed us a great time on the trails. Beautiful new snow machines provided a comfortable and fast experience; the heated handle bars definitely a plus. Multiple trails they take you on, lets you explore without running into others too much. Plus built in breaks to take pictures (River is a phenomenal photo taker) and just enjoy the scenery and peacefulness of the trails. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
This was a great break from skiing on our trip to Killington. So glad we decided to have a snowmobile tour. Checkin was efficient and so friendly. They made us feel very comfortable with the explanations and video. The snowmobiles are in beautiful condition. They start off slow enough to get a good feeling for the operation of the machine. The scenery is amazing. Our guide, Spencer, was super nice and helpful. Our family of 6 on three double snowmobiles had so much fun. Thanks for a great time!

Yelp
As always we had a blast at Snowmobile Vermont!! We go every year, but this is the first year we got lost and ended up at the wrong one (hint there are multiple locations in Killington area). They were patient with us as we rushed thru getting geared up and the safety video. After that we were off to the races and seeing the countryside, snow was great that night/morning so we got a ton of fresh trails which is better than past trips! Definitely looking forward to next years trip.

Yelp
This is our first time snow mobile. We booked 2 hours tour Killington double snow mobile. Our guide Jake is super nice and friendly. We are very appreciated and definitely be back.

Yelp
This was an AWESOME experience. We had a group of 20 and everything was handled perfectly. From the booking experience to actually riding, we have 0 complaints. The intake process was smooth, informative, and funny. Our guides when it came to actually getting on the trails were all perfect and kept things fun. Our group would return in a heartbeat.

Yelp
Me and my buddies all came here during my friends bachelor weekend and we had such an awesome time. Our guides were hilarious and super knowledgeable about the snowmobiles themselves and the surrounding area/terrain. We felt like we were in great hands! It was my first time on one and I felt like a pro by the end of the day. It's a bit out in the sticks, but highly worth it. Can't recommend enough!

Yelp
Booked the day of with an easy phone call on 12/23/2016. Two hour tour that started at 3PM. There's no service whatsoever there, even with Verizon or AT&T so make sure you have a GPS navigator, but it's a real treat to snowmobiling "out in the wild". We arrived by 2:15PM, signed our lives away, and got booted up and fitted for helmets. There were checkers and connect four to stay busy while everything was being set up in the background of the establishment. 10 of 3 we went into a small classroom and watched an old instructional video that didn't matter since we then got briefed again outside by a tour guide. Brand new snowmobiles. The stitching of the seats were still white and the handle bars were heated! We got our own guide and drove fast enough to visit several areas: hunting shack, boy scout cabin, view point of Killington Resort, and a bunch rounds around Coolidge State Park. As we returned it got dark so it was really enjoyable to be able to experience it during daylight, sunset, and in the dark. The older men like to make the generalization of women so feel free to prove them wrong, but I'm sure they've seen it all in their line of work. Great fun and they have locations all over Vermont so it would another fun thing to do if you're at their other locations near Killington to see the sights.

Yelp
It was great working with Snowmobile Vermont and Bill. I was in charge of booking for a company/client trip and he was very flexible and willing to work with our group changes (as working with a large group there are constant adjustments and cancellations). As I was not able to physically attend the trip, it would have been nice to have our company card on file instead of having to present a card and ID there, but I understand there are certain reasons for their process. It was a pleasure working with them and we will continue to work with them for future trips!

Yelp
Fun activity for winter that costs about the same as skiing. The facility is a bit dated though and could use a refresh. Bathrooms were particularly filthy and the training video was made in 2002. Still had a good time out in the field though. Would go again.

Yelp
Our 2-hour Killington tour was cancelled due to rainy weather (late December 2018). I appreciate that they contacted us the day before and offered a full refund. Hope to try again if we return to the area.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I booked the 1 hour snowmobile tour in Killington on Christmas Eve. Neither of us have ever driven a snowmobile before but the brief demo video showed us the basics and then Claus went over the most important aspects once again (e.g., how to start and stop the snowmobile, how to break, how far of a distance to keep with the person in front of you, etc.). Before going out into the mountains we were given the opportunity to drive a lap around the open space in front of the property. To be honest I didn't get the hang of it right away and did struggle at first. However I am so glad that I did not chicken out last minute and still went on with the tour! We were a pretty large group at first but got broken up into 3 smaller groups with 3 guides. My boyfriend and I ended up being our own group and our guide was Max. As soon as we took off into the mountains I got the hang of it and absolutely loved every minute of the experience! Half way through the tour we met up with the other 2 groups and stopped for a couple minutes to take pictures. Our guide took a bunch of pictures for us! During the second half of the tour we got to drive through some steeper hills and loved the thrill of the experience! For the last 10 minutes we returned to the base lodge where we got to make a couple of laps around the track at our own pace. Some tips: You are provided with a helmet and you can also rent a snowsuit and jacket ($10 for both the snowsuit and jacket). You can also rent snow boots. There is a mini souvenir shop at the front desk where you can buy shirts and hats. I bought one souvenir shirt. :) Bring cash if you want to tip your guide at the end of the tour. They definitely deserve it as this experience was truly amazing!

Yelp
Our guide Steve was great. He tailored our back country tour to help us overcome our initial fears and we were soon zipping along the trails, up and down hills with ease. Everyone at Snowmobiles Vermont was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

Yelp
Tons of fun, but a bit more challenging that I would have thought. I booked a two hour back-country tour for myself and my boyfriend. Online booking was easy and the follow up e-mails included all the info we needed. We arrived one hour early as instructed and sat around for most of it. The preliminary stuff really only takes 15 minutes. They have a few games there to occupy the time, though, so we didn't mind. Our tour was 3-5pm on one of the shortest days of the year, so it got dark while we were out. That actually added to the fun of it, so don't why away from the later times. The operation of the snowmobile was pretty simple in concept, but steering was more difficult than anticipated. The trails were beautiful and varied. However, they were just wide enough for two snowmobiles to pass side-by-side and lined with trees, hillsides, etc.. The boyfriend didn't seem to mind, but I spent the first hour terrified that I was going to slide out and end up in a tree. Turns out that going faster is really the key - it smooths out the ruts in the trail and makes steering slightly easier. We actually had two guides just for the two of us. One was brand new and other very seasoned. The new one sensed my apprehension and set a very slow pace...in retrospect, almost too slow. The seasoned one picked it up the second half and I was able to get more comfortable fairly quickly. Both were super nice and we did have a great time though. They also did offer to split us up so that we could each go at our own paces, but my boyfriend was having none of that. Overall, I'd do it again.

Yelp
Had a blast over here! Beautiful scenic routes, fun and fast sleds. Friendly and professional staff, Tito was a great tour guide. Will definitely be returning! Shout out to Jake for letting me wait in his car after hours until my ride came!

Yelp
We went out on a 2 hour tour with Calvin, we had an awesome time! Great ride nicely groomed trails, and we got to open them up a little in a huge field! I will hopefully be going again!

Michelle A.

Yelp
We took a 2 hour tour on a single and a double snowmobile and were very happy with our trip. The helmets and boots were all in excellent condition and looked brand new. The paperwork process was fast and easy, as was the instructional video. Snowmobiles also all appeared new and ran great. The guides were all very friendly and did a great job. Each family/ friend group had its own guide so the families with small children or inexperienced riders were able to go slower while the more experienced riders were able to go much more quickly. There were plenty of different trails with beautiful scenery to enjoy. I would highly recommend this company.

Yelp
Never been snowmobiling before and finally got to go. Took a 2 hour tour and it was AWESOME! We did a double and the sleds were brand new and ran perfect. We got to go at a fast pace (as fast as you'd feel comfortable going). The guide was great and friendly along with the other staff at the facility. The trails were awesome and very vast. If you want to snowmobile in Vermont, go here you won't be disappointed!

Andrew S.

Yelp
We had an excellent tour through The Calvin Coolidge National Forest. The snowmobiles were brand new 2018 machines and the staff were true professionals. The tour guides went out of their way to make sure everyone had fun and were on trails based on their skills and abilities. I can't recommend Snowmobile Vermont highly enough.

Dana S.

Yelp
Do not go here. They are assholes. Me and my boyfriend went on Christmas. Never have been snowmobiling before. Big snowstorm the night before/during that day. Our tour guide thought it'd be fun to take us on trails that no one went on before (trails weren't plowed through you could tell no other snowmobiles were on there). My bf and I tipped over and the windshield broke. After that happened our tour guide said "oh I shouldn't have taken you on that trail". Continued on the tour and our own tour guide (who is supposed to know what he's doing correct? That's his job!) got his own snowmobile stuck and my bf had to get off ours to help him. At the end of the tour, we went back and we had to pay 150 dollars for the windshield (on top of the 200 we had already paid to do the guided tour- yes a guided tour where a tour guide shows us how to maneuver the snowmobile not take us on trails where we don't know what we're doing/ not show us how to maneuver them in harder situations) We both ended up calling the place to get a refund and they did say they were going to give us one because the tour guide shouldn't have taken us on trails (and admitted it) that we weren't able to handle After another 2 weeks when we still weren't refunded my bf called back and they denied that he ever spoke to anyone there (we have the call logs) Anyway we got it disputed so jokes on them. I would never go back here again. You guys suck
