Hotel SO/ St. Petersburg is a five-star designer hotel in the center of St. Petersburg, within walking distance of St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Hermitage Museum, Palace Square, and Nevsky Prospekt. The interiors are charming and unique, said to have been designed by an Italian architect. The Just Say SO service concept emphasizes a personalized approach to guests. The hotel offers 137 rooms. The hotel has restaurants and bars: HI-SO Terrace is a summer restaurant on the roof with panoramic views of the city, MIXO Lobby Bar is a 24-hour bar with European cuisine. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day. Among the amenities, we especially liked the SPA center with a swimming pool, sauna, hammam, and massage. The spa is cozy and small, with first-class massages, a hot hammam, and a clean swimming pool. There is also a large jacuzzi. The disadvantages are that the slippers are uncomfortable and slippery on the tiles, which can be dangerous if there is water on the floor. The saunas are separate for women and men, but the men's sauna is currently closed. The best part is the staff at the spa, who are friendly and professional, and the massages are energetic and enjoyable. We highly recommend visiting the spa.

The staff is very helpful and friendly but the hotel itself feels outdated and in need of renovation. The overall quality doesn't live up to a 5-star rating, and it's overpriced for what it offers. Location is very good though.

This hotel is considered one of the best in St. Petersburg. The welcome was warm, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I recommend booking with them because the room is comfortable and the location is excellent, close to tourist attractions.

This place since it was Sofitel or even earlier W designed with love by Antoni Citterio Burau is my favorite place for business travel in St. Peterburg.Lovely location, design and service stands for real 5-star!A gourmet restaurant on sight makes it very convenient for business meals like breakfast, lunch or dinner with no need to browse surroundings by foot!Love this place!

The customer service upon arrival was excellent with the reception staff accepting a deposit in Euros as I'd arrived late into St Petersburg and was unable to exchange my money. They even gave me directions to the nearest exchange that opened on Sunday!||The following day however was very disappointing. I was told that I had to pay more than the booked price, then was ridiculed as my eyesight problems had me struggling to count the money. I have no problem with young people in general, but many lack the solid customer service skills required to work in a 5 star establishment.||Then there was the situation with breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant next door which has an entrance to it within the hotel. On the first morning I naturally assumed our breakfasts, which were part of the booking, were served in this restaurant. We had a lovely breakfast there and left unchallenged as expected. The following morning we did the same only to be presented with a bill for that breakfast and the one from the previous morning. They then told us that breakfast for hotel guests was taken on the 8th floor! I wasn't told this and there was no literature regarding this in our room.||The rooms are excellent, the views while eating breakfast on the 8th floor are spectacular, but the management and customer service at this hotel is sadly lacking.||Try the other 5 star establishments instead!

The best hotel I’ve stayed in so far! Brand new, elegant, stylish and the most perfect for my taste. I felt so well taken care of, like I was treated by the most thoughtful people in the world. Everything is though out to the smallest detail: amazing tea, coffee machine, complements in the room, wow! Gorgeous spa, wonderful location, snacks at the bar with go complimentary to your drinks and omg what amazing beds they have!!! Rooms are so cozy and well filled that nothing is missing and everything fits perfectly and looks so wonderfully fashionable! The reception is so kind and sophisticated, all the stuff is extra polite and caring. Totally recommend it especially during summer when the rooftop terrace is open🥰

Hotel is well located. Fantastic breakfast although could be changed now and then to add variety, cleaning staff very nice. Prompt room service. Good hotel to stay with family

ROOMS: very spacious and bright. Big and comfortable bathroom with a shower. Everything is very clean and cozy: bathrobes, slippers and small everyday staff like vanity kit are provided for guests. Soundproof is good, but sometimes you can hear some noise (not so loudly). We found some welcoming fruits on the table, which was very nice. There are also rooms with the view on Isaakiy cathedral.|LOCATION: excellent location right in the city center, 2min walk to Isaak cathedral.|FOOD: good and nutritious breakfast is included: eggs, vegetables, fruits. Cereals, fruits and different drinks are available for breakfast as well.|FACILITIES: good and fast wi-fi, terrace with a view, restaurant, gym and spa, business center. There is also ATM machine inside the hotel and you can use one of the hotel’s umbrellas when it rains.|STAFF: very polite and helpful.
