This lodge is the perfect spot for any fly-fisherman. The rooms are spacious and include a kitchenette and living space with two recliners. Bathrooms could stand to be remodeled, but are certainly adequate for the purpose. Located right on the beautiful river, the views are spectacular. The stay includes both breakfast and dinner. You will not be disappointed. They even allow for some variation if you require a meal that does not include beef. Our fishing guide, Rusty, was fantastic. We stayed for 4 nights and had a great experience. We will return!

I have been here many times over the years and can honestly say this is on of my favorite lodges in the USA. From the moment you arrive the staff is friendly, engaging and helpful. Want to step out your front door and land a couple of trout? No problem, and the staff staff is happy to help get your rod rigged properly and eager to help with fly selection. The meals are consistently delicious and lunch on the river never disappoints. I’ve taken a group of 20 plus people and never had a bad guiding experience, not to mention, it’s one of the best fisheries in the Southwest. Overall Jeff and his team are fantastic and I will go back again and again.

This is THE best fishing experience I've had in recent years. Everything about the lodge is fisherman friendly. Jeff - the owner - is as personable as he is knowledgeable, and his staff takes its lead from him. Our guide Nathaniel was excellent and enjoyable to be on the river with. The food was top notch, prepared and presented in a way that rivals the best restaurants anywhere. It was obvious from the first minutes at the lodge that Jeff and everyone there was committed to making our trip a memorable one. We enjoyed the other guests as well. All the guests shared in the fly fisher brotherhood that brought us all there in the first place. The fishing was excellent. With Nate as our mentor, it is safe to say that we experienced no fewer than 10 strikes an hour. Far from an expert, I was able to land my fair share throughout the day, most in the 18 to 24-inch range. I STRONGLY recommend a trip to the Soaring Eagle Lodge. You'll be charmed by the staff and the guests, pampered by the food and accommodations, and thrilled at the quality of fly fishing.

I can't say enough how fantastic this place is. A good friend and I stayed there from the evening of October 8th through the morning of the 11th. The accommodations were superb, the dining 5 Star and the fishing the best I've ever experienced. Cooper was our guide for our two days on the river. He took care of us extremely well and put us in prime parts of the river on both our upper and lower drifts for each of our two day, on the water, experience. I've never had a better guide with the patience and knowledge to produce a productive and memorable fishing adventure. I'm planning to return in 2022. Oh yeah....Jeff, the owner, is a hoot and will do anything to assure your experience exceeds your expectations. My thanks to the Soaring Eagle Lodge.

My adult son and I just got home from 3 days here. World class all the way. Very comfortable - great food - great guide - great fishing. The room was perfect and very comfortable and clean. For fly fishing this is about as good as it gets in my opinion

I stayed at Soaring Eagle on a family fishing trip. The rooms at the lodge were quite clean, with far more amenities than I expected at fishing lodge. The shop on the premises carries just about anything you could possibly need, including warm clothing, flies, accessories, etc. Our guides were phenomenal!!!!! My parents had Jeremiah Spradling and I had Cooper O'Connor. Both were super knowledgeable about fishing that stretch of the San Juan and fly fishing too. I had a friend with me who had never been fly fishing and Cooper was a very patient and thorough instructor. By the second day, almost every cast brought in a fish! The guides knew exactly what flies they were biting on. We had a lovely picnic lunch each day. Both Jeremiah and Cooper are consummate professionals with a great sense of humor and attentive to the environment, with a leave no trace attitude. I can recommend Soaring Eagle Lodge, their accommodations, their guides, their gear and their management without hesitation! I'll be back for sure!

We had four in our party and it was the best three days of fly-fishing any of us had had. We would highly recommend the trip. Our guides were Cooper and And they put us on fish all day long. Many Nice size Browns and Rainbow. Cooper put my partner on a 30 inch Rainbow. Coop got him in the net but one final surge and he was gone. The chefs were fantastic and each meal was just delicious. Jeff was an outstanding host. We can’t wait to go again!

Food is very good. The staff, the chefs, and the owner are really nice. The bedding s doesn't look crisp and fresh though. It was very wrinkled too. But since it is a llodge for outdoorsy people who mostly are into fishing, we didn't really expected so much. The view is amazing, though.
