Had an amazing anniversary dinner and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The vibe is relaxed but classy, the service was spot-on, and the food—wow. Their Brussels sprouts are next-level (seriously, don’t skip them), and every appetizer we tried was packed with flavor. My wife and I left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend for a special night out or just a great meal in Broadbeach.

Went to Social Eating House on recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. Great vibe in central restaurant district of Broadbeach. Bring on the food - amazing flavours and taste. Entrees were Burrata (great taste contrasted sweetness of fig and grapes and crunch of pistachios) and King (XL!) tasty Prawns. Mains were lamb shoulder (succulent, so soft and tasty), prawn truffle risotto which had an amazing flavour and tempura bugs in curry sauce (my favourite - so rich in flavour). The only disappointment was the octopus which was a bit chewy and didn’t have the charring I was hoping for. Overall an amazing meal. A restaurant I would definitely recommend. Great service also.

12/03/2025 I am sorry but I have to change my 5 star review that I gave Social House three months ago to a 3 stars. ( you can still read the first review below ) Tonight’s experience has changed my opinion. We went for dinner as a group of 4 people, the table you sit at is way to small for four and we were afraid to move our hands not to tip the glass over and forks were keep falling down as you trying to make a space or take something from the table. The waitress had no idea about the menu and did not get a few things as we requested. Food was terribly salty, so salty it burns the tongue. They could easily rename the restaurant to a Salt Eating House. My wine glass was taken away before I finished the wine. Not enjoyable for the price you pay. It is a shame as venue is looking beautiful and interior design is amazing. Bar is great for a few drinks, glassware and drinks list looks great. Old review: “This is a great venue within an Oracle precinct. We ordered a fish of the day and a lamb shoulder, both dishes were delicious. Wine list is great. There is indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Service is outstanding and atmosphere is lively and welcoming. One of my favourite at the moment.”

Social Eating House + Bar was amazing from start to finish! The atmosphere was so nice, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. The food—just wow! We started with the Savoury Donut, and it was incredible. It had the perfect crispy outside and a soft, flavorful filling that just melted in our mouths. Such a unique and delicious bite! Then we had the Wagyu Steak, and it was hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly, so tender and juicy, with so much flavour in every bite. We highly recommend this place especially when you’re looking for a good Date Night.

The whole experience was great! Yousef was incredibly accommodating and made our visit truly unforgettable. We loved the food and everything in between. We’ll definitely be coming back. This guy deserves a promotion! 🙌🏻🤍

2022 - First ate here and had the larger lamb dish and shared between two which was a very large meal but enjoyable. 8/05/2025 - Ordered the octopus for starter while others on the table ordered the quail and the burrata. Burrata looked really nice. The quail was deep fried which was very disappointing and this was not stated on the menu. It tasted good, but it looked like KFC. Octopus dish should be renamed to Chorizo with a little Octopus... seems chorizo is cheap and is used as a filler. Octopus also topped with kettle chips which cheapens the dish. Mains - lamb to share between two was a hit. Another person ordered the prawns (4 medium sized prawns for $48 with a small side of bread - what a rip off!) and I ordered the Korean wagyu - not really sure if this was beef/chicken/pork because they were fried crunchy balls of something which tasted nice but I was actually expecting slices of wagyu beef - so similar to the quail - I got something i certainly wasn't expecting and didn't really want fried food. No dessert for us and had minimal drinks. Cost $363 for 4 people. Atmosphere was good but there was a cold breeze all the time so I had to wear a jacket. Staff were attentive and more than eager to fill up our water glasses which makes for a nice change. Food came out within a good timeframe and were were finished in 1hr50min. Would return if I come back to Broadbeach but would ask more questions about the menu in future as what's specified isn't exactly what you get in some cases.

Yelp
Delicious steak and amazing service. It was the first restaurant we tried on the Gold Coast and by far the best steak.

Yelp
The best restaurant I've been to in a long time, could not fault a thing , the food was all Top quality , I expecially liked the garlic prawns with apple cider, the scolips , lamb shoulder and brussel sprouts,

Yelp
On a Saturday night, this is a really busy place. So make sure you make a reservation. Even though this is a busy place, the host will greet you and give you a status update on table availability. Social Eating House & Bar has a great vibe and atmosphere! I ordered entree, main and dessert from the specials board and also food from the menu. The food was amazing! The crispy pan fried snapper fish with risotto, prawn and prawn bisque, delicious! The zucchini flower was sweet and crispy! The side dish of roasted cauliflower was a great choice. Make sure you have room for dessert, the special white chocolate and coconut panacotta with lychee sorbet with violet jelly was refreshing and amazing. Very strong lychee flavors. The stand out dessert was the licorice mousse with burnt pineapple! Very unique and if you love licorice flavors, this in the one you must try! Overall it was a great dining experience!

Yelp
A great quality meal, I ate here with some friends after just getting back in town. It's def not the cheapest place however the food is very tasty and is justified, the menu is very detailed with some new style cuisine, it is on par with restaurants in LA.

Yelp
This was, by far, our best meal in Australia. We were in Broadbeach for a conference after spending a few days in Sydney, so our points of reference for comparison are Rockpool, Mr. Wong, Aria, and others. Social belongs in the same class as these high end establishments. We started with a couple selections from the creative cocktail menu. I should have written down the names, but they were very nuanced. We followed up with the fish tartare on a rice cracker, scallops on the half shell, fried whiting, waygu beef (a gift from the chef/owner), pork belly confit, lamb rib, and two desserts. The stars were the waygu and the nitro raspberry cheesecake dessert: works of visual art and downright delicious. We sat at the chef's counter, so we got to observe the great teamwork and collaboration of the kitchen team. Service was very good: you can tell people like their jobs here! Thanks for the highlight of our trip.

Yelp
Loved it. Came here with my wife for our anniversary dinner. We were greeted by our waiter George who took his time to find out why we were there, how we'd heard about the place and to explain the menu and offer some advice on the most popular dishes. He then said that while they have a cocktail menu, the cocktail waiter thrives on making something exclusive for us catered to our tastes. We ordered the Empanadas and Croquettes off the bar snack menu to start and the shared four small plates - veal carpaccio, red curry scallops, pork belly and red claw yabbies. Everything we had was superb! My favorite was the accompaniment of the pork belly; a prawn some how crusted in pork crackling! Great service, fantastic food and some hand picked cocktails made this a really great meal. Well done!!! The menu revolves around share plates.

Yelp
The food was amazing. Everything we tried was delicious. I went with teenage girls and they enjoyed watching the chef by sitting at the bar (which can't be reserved so get there early if you want to watch) The waitstaff were knowledgable and the front of house/owner was very personable

Yelp
My last check in told me I'd been here 15 times. Add to that a few before I created the business on yelp, and possibly the odd time I haven't checked in, fair to say I LOVE Social! I thought I should remind everyone how good it still is (well actually better, but I can't put more than 5 stars can I!) a year later. The staff are always great, as well as an excellent knowledge of the food, if you're not sure what you want to drink, just ask the staff & you'll be set! It's all share food, but I don't think I'd be above going on my own to get my hands on that crackling crumbed prawn or trout mousse toast. Most nights have a different special, and I've NEVER been disappointed. I don't think there's another restaurant that could quite easily eat at every night of the week, anywhere. And shock horror the one I find is on the Gold Coast! Enough from me, like I've said before just get on it. And book. Fun Fact: if you arrive early you can enjoy the seats at the kitchen - a must do at least once!

Yelp
Social is a fave of mine, food is pretty amazing. Prices are steep for the quantity, but for a night out, it's great!

Yelp
This was our favorite place we dined on our trip to the Gold Coast. The staff was so friendly and service was exceptional. We had received a recommendation to try this place from our Uber driver. I was apprehensive at first because I thought it would be too difficult to find gluten free options on the menu. The server was quick to accommodate, making recommendations and adjustments to menu items. If I were staying here longer, I'd eat there again. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Are there MORE stars available for this spot?! As out of town tourists, this place was recommended to us by our Uber driver who quite literally walked us into the restaurant to make a reservation. The staff was INCREDIBLE (highly recommend sitting at the bar to observe the chefs) and the food was by far our favorite in Broadbeach. You would be remiss not to introduce yourself to Sandra who provided world-class hospitality and Jordan (one of the chefs) who gave us an incredible education about Australian food. If this was in NYC, this would be the hottest spot in town. If you're in Broadbeach, this is a MUST!

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing. The ambience and the staff were great. We were seated at the bar cause they were full, we ordered Braised Lamb for starters which was yummy.. almost ordered it the second time around. We ordered Pork Belly which was part of the small plate section on the menu for our mains - the dish looked absolutely stunning and tasted totally yummy! Highly recommended if you're in and around that area.

Yelp
We had a fantastic meal here. Our waiter had great recommendations that all hit the mark. Delicious lamb empanadas, prawns, pork belly and heirloom tomatoes. Tremendous service and super-friendly staff made us feel at ease and added to the overall experience. Highly recommend for dinner here on Broadbeach. Hope to make it back before we leave.

Yelp
The food here is to die for! Love the tapas style of menu and trying loads of different dishes. It is so hard to pinpoint a favorite dish although the scallops and twice cooked lamb ribs were definitely two of the standout dishes (both on the specials menu). The menu changes regularly, depending on available seasonal ingredients. The restaurant is small and intimate, with exceptional service. Reservations are absolutely essential as it books out quickly (even on weeknights), but definitely worth persevering to secure a table here!

Yelp
We came with friends and we all agreed the food, atmosphere and service was sensational. We ordered so many items to try, but here is the short list. We recommend the tuna tostado, tuna crudo, roasted octopus, grilled beef, mushrooms and greens. Since they had a full bar we ordered several cocktails and even asked the bartender to "make one up" for us and he excelled at it. They really are top notch here without any fuss. I would come back here and also try their sister restaurant. One more thing, our friend was gluten free and though the restaurant didn't have gluten free menu, they had enough things on the menu so he didn't feel left out or was stuck eating boring steak and fries.

Yelp
We were in OZ for 3 weeks- only on the Gold Coast for 6 days. Social was BY FAR the best food we had! We were a little surprised they only had 2 seating & even more surprised/annoyed they had no tables left when we arrived, but hunger won & we agreed to sit at the bar. BEST CALL EVER! The show from the open kitchen was like theater, and every dish they prepared- we wanted one of!! I think we tasted everything on the menu- because when the chef - who lived that we were so into it- sent us something to taste- he had to go off menu!!! The service was excellent - bar crumbed and mise en place after every dish- drinks and water ALWAYS refreshed. This place should be an impossible to get reservation- I'm glad we found it when we did!

Yelp
Food, amazing. Small portion share plates but high quality. A little on the expensive side, but also highly touristed area so unsurprising. I'd highly recommend spending an afternoon here grazing your way through the plates and the people walking by. Good wine list. Service was OK - you had to encourage them to smile which is probably because its such a highly transient area and also everyone looked like they had a hangover. Must have been post Xmas.

Yelp
LOVED this place. The waiter was a bit scary, but our waitress was super friendly, answered all our questions, and made great recommendations. She went over and beyond and made our experience a memorable one. And the food... phenomenal. A lot of Asian-fusion dishes and spices, I think we ordered most of the menu between the four of us! The star of the show: The braised lamb ribs with orange sauce.

Yelp
What I had: Confit Pork Belly, spiced soft shell crab, tweed river king prawns, steamed asparagus, grilled red claw yabby, rabbit We started with the tweed river king prawns. This is really just a gambas. The sauce though was different, tasted like the juice from a vongole. Very good concoction. Then came the grilled red claw yabby. This was well balanced with the flavor being enhanced by the iberico. Then came the soft shell crab which was accompanied by a Thai-tasting salad. Another well deserved praise! The confit pork belly came next. Pretty standard, except that it had a thin sliced elongated bread (at least that was what I initially thought). Instead it was crispy pork skin! Another good touch. The steamed asparagus was huge with plenty of shaved manchego and fried goat cheese balls on the side. Very good indeed. We will make this one at home. So far, it had a 5 star. But I rated it as a 4 when the rabbit came out (a special in the menu where the chef tried to mix it up a bit). Sauce was good. But rabbit was pretty bland considering that they made it into a meat ball. The verdict: will definitely recommend to people going to the Gold Coast and tell them to just order things on the permanent menu. The specials might just ruin it. For 3 adults and 2 kids, I paid A$145 for the food

Yelp
Great venue, excellent service, interesting and varied wine list. Most important the food was excellent. It was the on trend style at the moment of multiple options of small meals. The scallops in the Thai curry sauce and the mushrooms were the stand out for me. My partner who is a coeliac found the staff and the menu supportive. Best of all not overly touristy. I would recommend booking on the weekend and encourage all visitors and locals to visit the restaurant.

Yelp
Awesome food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Thank you Nick! Highly recommend the kingfish carpaccio, the chorizo, the trout mousse toast and the chicken. Best food on the GC by far.

Yelp
Heard a lot of great stuff about this place and was super excited to try. Walked in at 2.10pm on the Sunday of a long weekend. Was told kitchen was closed and to come back after 6. We watched two tables seat just in front of us. Don't understand the logic. Upside was we had a great meal at Espana instead.

Yelp
We attended a 30th Birthday here last night. My first time at Social, our waiter was polite and a total darling, he helped us out with whatever we needed and was only too happy to be of assistance and because of this if he made any errors we didn't at all notice. They made 100% sure that those in the party with food allergies knew what they could and couldn't touch and made allowances for them where they could. We had a set banquet due to it being a birthday and such a large party (25 people) The food didn't let us down, The Tuna Sashimi w/ Ponzu & Soy Caviar was amazing, probably my highlight. The lamb shoulder was also divine as were the other dishes. Really one of my best all round dining experiences in Broadbeach, 100% worth the nightmare that parking is in Broadbeach on a Saturday night. The kitchen is open and adds to the energy of Social, which by 8.30pm our reservation time was buzzing. Service 5/5 Food 4.5/5 Atmosphere 4/5

Yelp
Fantastic place to dine! This place offers exceptional food and great service. The food is fantastic and the ambience is great

Yelp
Nothing quite like walking into the restaurant and seeing the manager standing behind the bar holding his two middle fingers up at a female member of staff. Further to that, patrons inside the restaurant were still eating entrees and the kitchen still had pots boiling on the stove yet we were refused service because the kitchen was closed. Don't waste your money, go down to Koi instead and enjoy a great steak.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner here, eating a mix of small plates - all fantastic! Stand outs for me were the Trout on rye, empanadas, carpaccio, caprese salad & king prawns. Delicious cocktails too. Looking forward on heading back.
