Social Hall Restaurant + Event Venue

Went for the Taste in Tempe, 3 courses 1 price, no cooking. The burger was good, the chicken sandwich didn’t have much flavor. The server was cool, young and professional! The Caesar salad was underwhelming as well. The drinks were good enough. This place used to be historic, and many will have memories of what it used to be 20 years ago. Seems like a fun place for a date! Or for younger people. I’d probably give it another try.

Hosted my wedding reception here in the rafter room since we eloped a few months ago. Food was great, they made planning easy! The space was beautiful and there was a perfect space for a Photobooth on the outside patio. The projector was great too so we could play our elopement video.

We had our company summer party here and it was absolutely amazing! The venue was perfect, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. Truly a fantastic experience from start to finish

Fun atmosphere minus all the young kids running around. Very good service, however We did not have table service we ordered everything up from the bar which we were fine with as we were all paying separately and preferred that way. The odd thing was the bartenders, great as they were, added an automatic 18% service charge to only SOME of our tabs with no explanation. Half of us had more than double tipped and half didn’t have the charge??? At the end of the day being someone that worked in the service industry for 10+ years growing up I just have never experienced 18% being added to a single persons tab when you are getting your own drinks from the bar? I suppose it’s a lesson to me to look much closer at my bill prior to tipping. Several from our party were paying in cash and it makes me wonder if it was being added on every time to their tabs as well. Is the service charge for the “free games” is it because the bartenders thought we were not going to tip them? Not sure but just be aware and look closely at your bill.

We hosted my son's rehearsal dinner for his September wedding. We went to a few different places to see what would work best and fell in love with the Social Hall. The service was amazing, so easy to work with and make our event special. Priscilla was so helpful and answered all of our questions with ease. Food was great. We booked the courtyard as we had people who couldn't walk up stairs and we had it all to ourselves even though they had additional events happening at the same time they directed them around the courtyard. We were able to decorate it how we wanted about an hour before guest arrived. I would recommend this location for an event we couldn't have been happier. Thank you for making this event amazing. So great to work with them!

I drive by this place all the time on my way to work and decided to finally give it a shot during the Taste in Tempe event. My husband and I came on a Friday evening. There weren't open tables but we decided to sit in the area behind the bar. We ordered two drinks, the nachos, and two burgers. The drinks and food were good. After dinner we played the various games. The reason my review is 4 rather than 5 stars is twofold. First, the nachos (an appetizer) came out at the same time as our burgers. Everyone knows apps should come out first. By the time we were ready to eat our burgers they were no longer hot. The second reason is that after eating, I boxed up our leftovers, sat them in the corner, and we played darts. While playing the staff took our boxes. In hindsight, I should have had my husband take it to the car, but I feel the staff should have asked if it was ours (we were the only ones in the area at the time). Overall a fun place for a date night.

Visit: April 2024 We are not from this area, but we wanted a place that had good food and drinks. This place did not disappoint. We sat outside, and it's a nice inviting ambiance. Our server was great! She was attentive and sweet. This is a good spot for young adults. There was a ping pong table and billiards to play. We didn't go inside, so I'm not sure how loud it gets in there. We had a great dining experience and would recommend this place if you're visiting the area.

I absolutely love this place! The vibes are great and the staff is super nice. I went for my birthday brunch and they were very accommodating. They asked where we would like to sit and they even gave us time to take our pictures. The food and drinks were so amazing, and the prices were great for the portions. They have something for everyone on the menu, and while still being small enough that everything was consent and delicious. I am definitely coming back and definitely recommend!
