The experience and food started out really good. The fried chicken and cha sui rice had a good flavour. However, the pesto shrimp was where everything fell apart. They served shrimp that went bad and smelled bad. After trying to get a waiter over to explain the issue, the waiter just said it was the pesto and that foreigners don't like the taste of the herbs. After trying to explain (in Vietnamese) that it wasn't the herbs but the shrimp, they just said no and left us alone. They didn't try to make it right, not even an apology. I wouldn't come back.

𝗠𝗲𝗹𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲 (𝟴𝟱𝗸 𝘃𝗻𝗱): this is a cold brew drink with cream foam and a hint of orange and nutmeg. This reminds me a lot of Mont Blanc in Melbourne but the tanginess in the drinks was not that similar compared to original Mont Blanc. . 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗲 (𝟭𝟯𝟬𝗸 𝘃𝗻𝗱): sweet and tangy mango sauce with deep fried chicken was delicious and unique in flavour . 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗻𝘀 𝘄 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗡𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗹𝗲 (𝟭𝟴𝟬𝗸 𝘃𝗻𝗱): pesto sauce was very nutty combining well with noodles and tasty baked prawns . 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘂 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 😭): tasty and juicy chicken with rice. The highlight here for most dishes was the generous portion.

I was introduced to this place thru the owner’s story on instagram. Having watched and tried some of Frank’s online cooking videos, I have always wanted to dine at his restaurant. But both me and my boyfriend were let down… The mushroom fried rice was a burning star. They wanted to deliver wok hei, but it was more like a burnt smell. You can visibly see the burnt bits on the dish. We couldn’t taste any sweetness from the mushroom, but bitterness… Karaage w mango sauce was ok, it was crispy (good) but the sauce was safe: not so sweet, not so sour, nothing stood out. The prawn basil pasta was something both of us enjoy simply because we love the local herb combination, and the prawn was fresh and sweet! One day, I’ll give it a try again and update this review because maybe we ordered the wrong dish?! And i still have trust in Frank’s work 🙂

I’ve known about Society for a while, but only just got the chance to drop by and try the food. My top pick has to be the ramen — the broth was light and tasty, not overly salty like some other places. Coming in second was the smashed cucumber (so good!). Overall, the whole meal was really well-balanced and super enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu 🤭

One of the friends recommended this in Saigon We were a big group and got a table in a quiet space. Ordered a few dishes and they were super delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time I’d highly recommend

Been here a couple of times now, had to come back and try other food because it all looks so good coming out. Friendly service staff and cozy setting, no need to book but waited a short while for a table, we will be back for sure! 🫶

Some people say the prices here are a bit high, but honestly, with this quality, it feels worth it to me. The Umami Undon was way better than the crab pasta at 4P’s. Definitely coming back for this dish. Also tried the char siu rice, Minh’s salad (super refreshing for lunch), fried squid, and hibiscus tea, all were rlly good.

My son and I really like the foods in Society. Really good quality with reasonable price. Nice staffs, good teamwork, simplicity decor in a green environment! We have come 2 times, and we will come here frequently!
