I LOVE THIS PLACE! This is by far my fave cafe in Oxford! The vibes are just immaculate. There is such an extensive range of different roast coffees. The last time I went I had the avocado, matcha chocolate cake which was vegan. It was very moist and the icing was so soft and airy. I really liked it, and it was nice to have interesting flavours which other cafes don’t really do. However I was not getting much matcha.

We had the Avocado Matcha Chocolate Cake, two Flat Whites, and an Iced Latte. The cake was delicious and very unique with a light green coloured frosting. The coffees were good any strong. Very popular and a little cramped. Very good service. £15 in total.

Google
A lovely place for coffee, breakfast, or to sit down and get some work done. It opens from early morning and I haed great foods here before I started my (longgg) day. Located in the centre of the city and easy to find. Nice and friendly staff. Cozy vibe, many seats available (if not busy time!). Delicious cake and coffee!!

Google
Mocha was average. Matcha was slightly better. The cake flavour was not bad, but texture was not good. That said, they have various coffees on offer so I would be open to trying again some day. Annoying fixed plaque on the tables gets in the way of arms/elbows.

One of the best coffee shops in Oxford. The coffee is always good and consistent. G Highly recommended it.

Google
Lovely customer service with nice chatty staff who makes you feel very welcome! They allowed me to try both of the batch brews which were lovely and the options of pastries where great as well. The outside seating is nice and having some seats downstairs is great as well. Having some savoury pastries will make it even better and also the downstairs felt quite dark so having a bit brighter light could bring up the environment as well. The barefoot cake slice was quite small compared to if you go to the barefoot cafe so having that bigger will be great. It did feel a bit dry so was not sure if it was fresh. Loving the card system and having two options for batch brew, v60 and espresso was great!! Customer service and the music inside was great as well :)

Lovely cafe with fresh air as well as study space. Cortado was balanced and slightly fruity.

Yelp
When i worked on Bonn Square i would stop here every weekday for a flat white and occasionally a croissant. Lovely Baristas who make delicious and beautiful works of art in a cup. On a warm day it's lovely to sit outside and enjoy your coffee.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to work while I meet my friend. I found this cute cafe that offers a good selection of pastries. You can choose to sit at their outside tables, street level floor or at their basement. The place can get pretty crowded and loud but their Wi-Fi is excellent. I saw several students using this place as a study hangout. The cafe is great and so is their croissant. The baristas were very friendly.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try this place for quite a while, and finally made my way over! I was pleasantly surprised by the layout that I walked into. Society Cafe somehow manages to display an organised, yet chill, vibe. I loved the way I walked in and saw everyone working on their laptops--my favourite type of cafes! It was quite full on the ground floor, so I was resigned to the basement, which was surprisingly comfortable for a small space. There were plugs by the tables as well, which I really appreciated, as I had decided to work on some things. After settling into the basement, I went back upstairs to order a latte with oat milk. As usual, they had the typical non-dairy options, soya and almond milk. The baristas are quite quick with making drinks. Pro-tip: they have stamp cards! If you're planning on visiting them more than once, why not get a stamp card? If you buy 8 drinks, you get the 9th free. Anyway, after sitting there for approximately 2 hours, I can safely say that Society Cafe fills up very quickly but it's worth dropping by if you want to try to get some work done. It somehow manages to produce a productive yet relaxed vibe! Will definitely be back for their coffee and the location itself!

Yelp
Stumbled across this place while exploring today and loved it! The interior is very aesthetic and simple, and plenty of places to sit. There a lot of different options to choose from. From food to tea. I had the green tea and it was so refreshing and nice. Some of the best green tea I've ever had. It came with a timer so you could determine how strong or light you wanted it and came out promptly. I really needed the WiFi to work on a paper and this place had the most unreliable WiFi even though they provided the password. I had to log in and register into the wifi provided next door. It was also far too hot, I was sweating so much! The stool I sat in as well was very uncomfortable. I felt like I was sitting on a rock. I'd come here again but wouldn't sit for a long extended period of time.

Yelp
I agree with some previous reviewers that the stools are fairly uncomfortable, but the interior of the café is a tidy and relaxed one. There are no power sockets on the ground floor, but you can find them in the basement. I didn't have a coffee here, but I got a nice tea and was provided with a handy set of three hourglasses to help me decide when was the best time to take the tea bag out.

Yelp
Society Cafe is a great coffee shop I stumbled on thanks to Yelp in Oxford. Spacious, great place to study or to meet up with a few friends. The desserts were spot on too. Society Cafe is a great independent coffee shop not just for Oxford but somewhere I wish I had in my neighborhood.

Yelp
Very nice coffee shop on a quiet side street across from the Union. Coffee is absolutely top notch, and they have almond and soy milk. Gluten free items are mostly limited to brownies. This is a quiet and serene atmosphere with lots of seating, very good for working on a rainy day. It feels a bit like a Silicon Valley cavern, more business-like than I would prefer (lots of men in suits, really), but all in all quite good. I'll definitely be back. UPDATE: for the number of people working, service is incredibly unfocused and slow. The almond milk is also not the best.

Yelp
"The" Coffee Experience in the city center. The owners always change coffee varieties and origins and have different ways of preparing it. I don't regularly drink coffee but when I do I like to indulge and this is where it happens. It's an experience! Try the aeropress. It's the best.

Yelp
This is a really cute cafe to work in! Their drink is pretty good - I got the Americano over ice, and I had no complaints. They have both the upstairs and downstairs area, and the staff is beautifully friendly and easygoing. It even has some outlets along the wall. Fair warning that the wifi is pretty patchy at best, so I wouldn't come here with work that absolutely needs wifi.

Yelp
I like the soy milk espresso drinks here, and it's a good place to get some work done (there are a few plugs in the bag). The service is usually nice. Not a lot of food on offer, except for sweet things and one or two sandwiches. Recommended for coffee lovers! :D

Yelp
Three stars because this place 1) serves phenomenal coffee, 2) serves scrumptious cake, and 3) is excellent for working (yes, the macbook crowd rules here - which may understandably be a demerit for some). But two stars off because you cannot enjoy your coffee or your cake, or get anything done, when it's freezing! Despite asking them if they could close the door, and overhearing others ask too, they insist on keeping the door open (for no apparent reason). CLOSE THE DOOR! It's Winter!
