Soo good and economic. The drinks are made there and taste fresh. The plate of food was just the typical breakfast that I had been looking for. You can splurge and have other sides which also look appetizing. But with the plate that I got it was good enough to fill me for a strong breakfast.

Loved this place for casados and typical Costa Rican food! We came twice for casados, highly recommend the pork chop Casado. Great service, ambiance and food.

Just tried this Soda today and almost makes me wonder if the 5 star reviews for this Soda are fake or just the owner friends. There is no way that many people dont have taste buds and think this place has good foodm. The food here was horrible. We have already tried 5 different Sodas in La Fortuna so far and this was by far the worse one. We ordered the Casado and everything was either undercooked or over cooked and had absolutely no flavor. The rice taste old and was crunchy. The veggies were hard. The beans were old and soggy. The plantains were hard and sticky. Almost taste like the entire plate was sitting in the fridge for 2 days and just thrown in the Microwave. The Best thing on the plate with the most flavor was the salad. The first waiter came to take our order but we weren't ready. So another waitress came back to take our order. Once we got our food. We never saw the waitress again and we needed a few things. Like a fork and sauces to add some flavor to the non existing flavor. So the service was non existent. Other than when they come to take ur order and bring you ur order. Make sure u get everything u need prior to them leaving because they wont be back. I wont name drop other Sodas in the area but please trust me. Out of the 5 we have visited so far. Hormiga is by far the worst one. They also dont serve alcohol. So if you want an alcoholic drink with ur meal this isn't the place. If the 5 star and 4 star reviews they have for this place are real. Im shocked by how many people dont know what good food taste like or their taste buds are completely gone. Dont waste ur time at this spot. There are so many other Soda within walking distance, with great service and amazing flavored food. We were so disappointed after we were done but we honestly was just giving it a try like we have all the other previous Sodas that we love.

During my stay in La Fortuna, I tried several local restaurants offering traditional Costa Rican food, known as sodas. This particular one was by far the best value for money. A full meal (casado) cost around 3,500 CRC, and the best part—no additional taxes! The food was delicious and authentic, definitely a great way to experience local flavors. The only downside is that they close fairly early in the afternoon, so make sure to go for lunch rather than dinner.

Tasty tasty food! I came here for breakfast and lunch and it was delicious! Staff is friendly, place is clean. It does get busy but waiting time is not too crazy. They have parking towards the back. Highly recommended!
