On the Grid : Söderberg Bakery Shop

"Söderberg is known throughout the city as Edinburgh’s best offering of Swedish baking. The West End location is small but attractive, and perfect for a quick takeaway coffee-meticulously prepared by the helpful staff. You would be remiss to go to Söderberg and not get one of their buns, made fresh daily by the expert bakers who have perfected the art of Kanelbulle (cinnamon buns) and Kardemummabulle (cardamom buns)." - Chris Brodt

Fantastic bread and pastries!!! Wish there was more seating or a wheelchair ramp. But absolutely superb

Only until I tried their pastry, I understood why a friend of mine always takes some back to the US 🤣….. the raspberry cinnamon bun was delicious!!! 😍🤤😍🤤 Wife was super satisfied with her coffee as well 😮‍💨… my hot chocolate was just perfect 👍. Definitely worth paying a visit to any of their shops!

Food is tasty enough but feels a bit pricey for what it is. I got a very small roll and a tart which was £8.80.

We went past this bakery on the way to deans village and so glad we stopped for a snack! The buns are delicious and staff were friendly. I had the cinnamon bun which tasted exactly like the ones I had in Sweden! Would definitely return!

friendly and helpful staff and the best decaf I had so far in Edinburgh. I stopped by to try a Semla, a Swedish pastry, and I was not disappointed. it tasted like in Sweden. only 4 stars because they only take card and there's no toilet (understandable though because the seating capacity is limited).

On our way back from Dean’s village, we stopped by this little bakery for a cinnamon bun, which we then ate peacefully on a bench in Princes street gardens at the ross fountain, an experience which we thoroughly recommend. Oh the smell of it! And the taste! So good! Their cinnamon buns are made in the Scandinavian style and was delicious. I sometimes struggle with cinnamon buns because they tend to be dry, but this one was perfect! They open nice and early as well, which is perfect for us tourists who like to make the most of our day! The cashier was genuinely really nice and friendly as well, and helped us make a choice! If you’re in the area it is well worth a stop!

Just awful, the one in the meadows is okay but the lady who severed me was so rude! I was shocked. Ridiculously overpriced. Avoid at all costs! So many better bakeries in Edinburgh. Trust me.

Delicious but it’s the most overpriced bakery I’ve ever seen. Especially considering that only few people can sit inside and have to “help yourself” like in a supermarket.
